Schwarzenegger denies Williams clemency plea
SudsyFist replied to Nightingale's topic in Speakers Corner
My word, that was absolutely beautiful. -
"Uh, I'm sorry sir, it's Nigger. He's been run over. He's dead..." just wouldn't have the same depth of feeling to it otherwise. Oh, and SPOILER ALERT.

Schwarzenegger denies Williams clemency plea

On your own admission, you raised up the knife And you brought it down ending another man's life And when it was done you just threw down the blade While the red blood spread wider like the anger you made I don't want this anger burning in me It's something from which it's so hard to be free But none of the tears that we cry in sorrow or rage Can make any difference or turn back the page -

I think you're carrying that one a little too far. -

Nobel nominations aren't a valid attestment of one's character, IMHO. Hell, even winning the Nobel Peace price doesn't really hold a lot of water with me. That being said, I'm no fan of our governor, but in this case, he's doing his job: faithfully executing the law. I vehemently disagree with capital punishment, but it's not the place of the governor to rewrite or sidestep the law; his job is to execute it. His office has reviewed the case and has determined that the court system has handled the case properly according to the law, so even though I'd much rather see death sentences go the way of the dodo, I don't fault Schwarzenegger in his decision. -
Cultural and social ramifications of DZ.com's Bonfire forum midway through the first decade of the twentyfirst century and it's impact on social networking, religion, and the simulation of fluid dynamics on 3 dimensional models in virtual worlds.

Content notwithstanding... now *that* was fuckin' funny! Good one. -
"The intel" is a misleadingly definite term to a highly amorphous piece of product. Please remember these things whilst you discuss.

Boy, that's just not right.

Anyone aware of any Holiday festivities @ Skydive San Diego?
SudsyFist replied to sd-slider's topic in The Bonfire
Buzz made the CRW exception himself beforehand, FYI. Don't know about the 1000 jump exception, though. -
Could you forgive somebody who murders your loved one?

And likewise if you ever find yourself in San Diego. I'll have a cranberry, though. -
I wouldn't agree with it, for two reasons:I wouldn't want the enemy feel justified or empowered to do the same to our troops. It violates Geneva Convention III. Where do you get that idea? Fair game? Sounds like fodder for more abuse scandals to me...

OK, my contention was its lack of effectiveness with regard to interrogation and collection of intelligence data. I think we're in the same boat there. Resistance training isn't focused on torture, but it's a component of it. Are you familiar with the Code of Conduct? As far as your question, that's a good place to start. But SERE's something about which I feel is inappropriate to get into much detail here. Know that I've got an in here. Whatever the reasons are for the recent push for sanctioning/legitimizing torture (and note, it's neither the CIA nor INSCOM making the push), it's got little to do with collecting data via interrogation, in my opinion.
