No, but life still manages to be wonderful, doesn't it?

Woohoo! Let me know when you're ready, and we'll have some good fun saving the snails!

In Japanese (as well as other Asian languages), the days of the week are named as follows: Sunday: Sun-day Monday: Moon-day Tuesday: Fire-day Wednesday: Water-day Thursday: Wood-day Friday: Gold-day Saturday: Earth-day So, the character is correct. Hope this helps!

I do speak the language.

Earth (t'o/tsuchi) Sky (ku/sora) Water (su/mizu)

Awesome!!! And so many other friends are gonna be there tomorrow, too!!!
-
Yeah, dude. Are you gonna be there? I've missed you out there the last few times!

Wow, I'd be glad to! I can help them find a new home in the wild where they can flourish in their natural habitats, and not encroach on your garden. I'll be in the area tomorrow; will you be around? Glad to be of help!

When I lived up near Viking, we had slugs and snails practically everywhere when it was wet outside. They are, indeed, icky, but they also express yet another facet of nature's grace, gentle and articulate.

I was deeply saddened again in December last year when I accidentally stepped on another one. It was dark, and there was no way I could've seen it, but it still shook me, poor little thing. The good news, though, is that in the three years since this post, that was the only one. And I'm being extra extra extra careful to make sure I don't ever do it again.

Something has come over me today. I suddenly feel all happy and joyful and full of life again! I feel like hugging a tree. Or kissing a stripper. I started waxing nostalgic over feelgood moments I've had in recent years. And I fondly remembered this one, wishing that I'd had a chance to share it with someone special. *sigh* Look, look! I'm brimming with sensitivity!

Well, you have presented no proof that you don't.

Wow, these numbers are certainly interesting. So roughly half the respondents claim self-respect, but what's interesting is that of the other half who've admitted employing such devious tactics, over 80% (19/23) so far claim success. That's fucking huge. My SudsyFist persona may soon be meeting a tragic end, giving way to a kinder and gentler motherfucker. Thanks for all the feedback.

I am only saying that because I care: there's a lot of decaffeinated brands on the market that are just as tasty as the real thing.

...This is my body which will be given up for you.

Yes, happy birthday, Trent. The world's gonna seem so much bigger now that you can drive! EDIT: Shite. Dave scooped me. Blah.

decency may be defined differently for different people, but for MOST people, there are common denominators... one could even make the argument quite convincingly that there is perhaps a normal distribution of "decency." there are those things that most people would consider decent. the avatar in question, IMO, would fall pretty far into the "indecent" tail of the bell curve of decency here... some here may find it acceptable, most would not. and while dz.com is no democracy, the "court of public opinion" here certainly holds some sway. IMO, that avatar has no place here and, regardless of it's reference to internet games or whatever, it needs to be removed. And you watch South Park?

WTF is a normal serving of decency? I'll bet my definition is different from yours! Captures the subjectiveness of the word, "decency," brilliantly.
