  1. My Suzuki GS500F won't start, and i don't know why. I press the electric starter and nothing happens. It's been sitting in the garage since december. I live in PA so it's been pretty cold up here too. Before i put it away fro the winter, i had work done on it. I took it into the shop to get an oil change, and they found an oil leak. They replaced a few parts and said it was good to go. This was in december, when the temp. outside was something like 29. When i got on the bike to take it home, it was having a hard time staying on. Even with the choke on for a few minutes, and riding around, it was still struggling and even shut off at some red lights. I figured it was just from the cold, and put it in the garage. Now it won't start at all. It has gas and oil in it. Can any motorcycle experts help?

  4. Totally agree. I get tired of people trying to "reform" me to be more like them and all "their" friends as if there's something wrong with me.
  5. Nothing pisses me off more than when people say i need to lighten up or why don't i ever talk.
  6. I second this. Plus you'll get to use theirs to learn on, so if you drop it no big deal.

  9. I don't know but I think this is a pretty good description of the people working on M-Theory . String theory is a bit like writing religion in mathematical language I didn't know that the people working on m theory were hell bent on world domination. How bout that. And string theory is a way of trying to understand the world around us through logic and yes, math. That's quite different than saying some all powerful being decided one day he wanted to create something and then "poof". Yay varily, worship me or burn in hell.

  13. http://www.alignment2012.com/whatisGA.htm 2012 is just a coincidental date between the mayans calender and other predictions. The sun is supposed to move through the galactic equator (center of the galaxy). But calculations say that this has already happened in 1998. There is a +/- 18 year period where the sun is still somewhat in the center, but not exactly in the center. So anything that wouldve happened because of this would have already happened. This happens once every 26,000 years. Short discussion on a science forum here: http://thescienceforum.com/2012-Alignment-of-Sun-to-the-Galaxy-center-16258t.php
  14. Date Movie, Epic Movie, Disaster Movie Watching previews for them makes me want to snap my fingers
  15. Judson Laipply is back with a sequal to his famous internet video "Evolution of Dance." Already half a million views in 2 days http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inLBPVG8oEU
  16. "Help me become the first person to earn one million dollars by doing absolutely nothing!" I believe Paris Hilton has already accomplished this and then some.
  17. You say "why does light chase us at the speed of light?", but does the light need a why? You can keep asking why to every answer, eventually you get back to the same point, "why is there anything instead of nothing?" "Searching for meaning is like riding an ox, in search of an ox." ________________________________________________ The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age. -H.P. Lovecraft "The Call of Cthulhu" _________________________________________________ Thats the fun of science for me. If the truth was so insane it drove us mad, i think i'd still like to know. I definitely wouldn't want to stay in a state of ignorance just so i don't get scared.
  18. Well, i definitely felt a lot safer when i was younger, i always felt like i had a protector. In a sense, ignorance was bliss. Skip forward a few teen angst filled years to where i am now. I do feel hopeless and helpless at times since i don't believe in an all powerful being anymore, but there are so many theories as to what's out there through which i get hope. Parallel universes, multiverses, the big crunch, even the fourth dimension could be considered an afterlife. I think what I've experienced is for better. Plus, i like being able to constantly learn instead of the universal "God did it"
