My leg straps on my javelin slowly come undone when i wear it, particularly the right leg strap. Could i have it sent to the manufacturer to have new leg straps put on to fix this?

I pack at the location in PA. I'm not a very nice person. I'm a misanthrope, and shady dealings get on my nerves fast, but everyone at this location are nice people, with the full time staff only trying to make a living. The shadiest thing i've seen go on at Pennridge is telling students the reason they aren't jumping is because of strong upper winds when the plane is broken down, and thats to prevent any un-needed frustration/anger. I don't give a fuck about Georgia or Tennessee, and i'm very happy to see them getting what they deserve. Pennridge sure as hell isn't the best DZ out there, but it's a pretty fun place, and i'll be sad to see it go if it does. But i'll move on, as will the rest of them.

What i'm pretty sure i want is a dvd burner, cd burner, and a high definition burner, since i would like to try out burning some high definition videos. I don't know anything about laptops. I was looking at a Mac Book Pro, but another jumper said an apple would be better for editing. Thoughts and suggestions?

Was just reading the manual and talked to a sony guy and they said there's no way to record with the lcd screen closed. How does everyone else use theirs?

See what? The statement and article says there's no documented cases of marijuana causing cancer. It doesn't say that smoking marijuana will prevent cancer.

Excuse me, but I did read all the report. Just because it is in print doesn't mean it makes sense or is factual. Once again, for them to say there has neven been a documanted case of a marijuana-only smoker getting lung cancer is complete bullshit unless they went and checked the backgrounds of each and every person who ever had lung cancer and medical records were kept for. Something we can be pretty sure they didn't do. The keyword is documented.

I have no issues with 99% of what they have on the site, but that line is pure BS. I'm not saying weed causes cancer, but I doubt they did much checking on that stat. Hell, I had an aunt who never smoked anything and she died of lung cancer. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume you didn't read that entire section because they fully explain how and why they came to that conclusion. Do you know what the term "did not reach statistical significance" means? The statement I quoted speaks for itself and is a silly...make that stupid...conclusion. It insinuates that marijuana is some kind of miracle substance that prvents you from getting lung cancer. I think your getting extremely carried away with your opinions. After my first season of packing, being able to do whatever i want, being able to say whatever i want, jumping everyday, and then coming home for the winter... it's just not working out. I'm losing my mind. There doesn't seem to be any weekends that are jumpable either, winds are so shitty every weekend. How does everyone else cope with this miserable season?

I didn't read through the thread, and you probably got all the input you need, but i'll throw a little in. I had a pilot 150 loaded at 1:1 for about 130-140 jumps. It was a real fun canopy, toggle turns were so fast, i really believe it turned as fast, if not faster, than my current stilletto 135. The only discrepancy i have with the canopy is the flare leaves a little to be desired on no-wind days. The flare on the student sabre-2 170 i used to jump was better.

If you don't think they're safe, don't let them jump.
