  1. First, how do you know it wasn't just negotiating tactic to get a better price? That's a standard tactic in acquisitions . You seem to assume he really wanted to back out which you can't know. Even if he made a mistake, he played the acquisition of Twitter and won the pot of massive influence and power.
  2. 1st offense caught with needles and opioids, caning. 2nd offense, off to the lithium mines for Tesla batteries or farming Tilapia: https://apnews.com/article/prison-to-plate-inmate-labor-investigation-c6f0eb4747963283316e494eadf08c4e Little Jenny can't play with heroin needles on the street if there are no heroin encampments.
  3. It's a feature of our oligarchy. The previous oligarchs got us ugly people in advertisements and shit on the street. Think it's time someone else got a crack.
  4. No, but he's taken a bunch of risks that always seem to pay off in his favor. Despite his over and over success you somehow think it's a drunk bet.
  5. How much is being in the president's entourage worth? Tesla is now valued over $1T and has increased in market cap by several hundred billion since the election. Counting SpaceX I would argue that $44b has increased his net worth many multiples and given him direct power. I have exclusive video of what being on Blue Sky is like.
  6. When Elon has risen to God emperor in waiting for Barron, he will have my support from these threads. I won't have to run from the Optimus death bots. Good luck!
  7. We've never had a politician pay it lip service. Given the track record I'll concede it's unlikely. Hopeful, that Massie pick and Elon chatting up Ron Paul it's 5% likely, up from 0.01%.
  8. You find it gutless to come to a place and get dog piled on where you are outnumbered 20 to 1? We must have different definitions of gutless. I leave you to your echo chamber.
  9. It's REITs, not selling land. A REIT shareholder has no title or deed to the land. > Vance invested money in AcreTrader, an app that sells shares of real estate investment trusts. While this process does not sell U.S. land directly to foreigners, it does allow foreigners to invest in companies that own American farmland. Vance's present level of investment in AcreTrader is unclear https://www.snopes.com/news/2024/10/08/jd-vance-acretrader/
  10. There is a giant unelected bureaucracy that actually controls what laws and how they are implemented. There have been decisions, like the Chevron one, to limit their power this time.
  11. That there is a pool of potential elites and the current crop will gas light and make everyone insane to keep the status quo?

  13. I don't want him to stick it to the VCs or hedge funds. I want the incentive to change. Instead of jockeying for better access to the money printer, a VC can find and fund better products. Instead of using inflated wealth and assets to keep a company running at a loss to artificially lower prices, they have to build actual businesses.
  14. I've said numerous times that both parties and every politician has egregiously printed and spent money, including Trump. The only politicians I know of that have paid it any lip service are Thomas Massie, Rand/Ron Paul and as of August 2024 JD Vance.
  15. Later in the paper it covers reinfection odds: The odds of protection from (re)infection with SARS-CoV-2 following primary vaccination was higher in mRNA and viral vector-based vaccine groups compared to inactivated vaccine in the first 5 months, however, the likelihood of protection persisted in the viral vector-based vaccine group for a longer period, i.e. up to 9 months. Irrespective of the vaccine type, the augmented S- antibody titers at enrollment i.e. at 2–4 weeks after the 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccines, were reduced by about 50% at 4 months follow-up and continued to decline afterwards in individuals who remained uninfected with SARS-CoV-2.
  16. And? https://www.reuters.com/markets/us/us-inflation-roller-coaster-prompts-fresh-look-long-ignored-money-supply-2023-01-26/ M2 took off in March 2020 as the Fed slashed rates and started buying trillions of dollars in bonds to help support the economy as the coronavirus pandemic started, ultimately mushrooming by $6.3 trillion - a 40% increase - from its level right before the start of the crisis. https://tenor.com/view/money-printer-go-brr-jerome-powell-cash-money-printing-money-gif-17266014
  17. Why? You can clearly see it in the chart. The point is where do printed dollars end up? Why isn't that part of the NPC meme of, "hurr red states get more fed funds"?
  18. Which organizations and banks get the trillions of dollars printed since 2008? Do you add that to your count?
  19. Those were dropped and reopened when they likely knew he was going to be AG. They had 1000s of pages of testimony and came up with nothing. There is a lot of incentive to go after him since he is one of the few bucking corporate power and not playing nice with status quo.
  20. Sounds appalling: But for those who have closely followed his legislative career, the Florida lawmaker represents a sharp break from the corporate-friendly orthodoxy of the modern Republican Party. Indeed, Gaetz’s elevation will provide sprawling prosecutorial powers for continuing his push against special interest influence and corporate malfeasance. His record speaks for itself. From his perch on the House Judiciary Committee, Gaetz has promoted a surprisingly consumer-friendly agenda, routinely breaking with his GOP colleagues on crucial votes. He previously supported legislative measures to break up Silicon Valley monopolies, sharply regulate the online data broker industry, ban noncompete employment contracts, and an end to the practice of forced arbitration, among other corporate accountability votes. He has also taken maverick positions on reducing FBI surveillance powers, cutting certain arms supplies to Saudi Arabia and legalising marijuana.
  21. What you are describing is related to pregnancy increasing metabolic disorders, which we've known Covid can exacerbate. In my story those studies did not exist, however it was known there was some metabolic risk with covid. In my instance my wife was in good metabolic health. We had detailed labs. The doctor did not think to put that together coupled with us working remotely. When questioned she could not provide answers or details for why she was recommending it. It's probably true, based on the evidence above, that metabolically unhealthy pregnant women get the Covid vaccine.
  22. If it's new, not as likely. The Lindy effect (also known as Lindy's law[1]) is a theorized phenomenon by which the future life expectancy of some non-perishable things, like a technology or an idea, is proportional to their current age. Thus, the Lindy effect proposes the longer a period something has survived to exist or be used in the present, the longer its remaining life expectancy.
