You owe BEER!..........can't believe no one said that yet.......Got your deadstick number yet?! I had my cherry busted in 86', C-182 JUMP plane of course.......It was my very first load as a jump pilot! Deadstick from 5 grand, rolled it to a pretty stop.... Yes I did declare, and had to fight the FAA off my back for 6 months. It was fuel starvation to a point. Had trash in the fuel lines somehow, (still had over 10 gal onboard) but the FAA thought different somehow...... After I landed the very first question from a senior jump pilot who shall remain nameless asked "You declare an emergency?", I said yes, then he had a few choice words for me, like dumbshit..etc..etc...Have had 2 other engine discrepancies in a jump plane in the ensuing 10 years, and no I did not declare.....I was directly over my home DZ, and no other A/C were around...... (I will add that Quade is correct as far as the FAA is concerned....)

OK, another ski destination question? If my Colorado trip falls thru, have to have back-up plan. Bud told me there's good skiing in NC..... Any info be appreciated..........!

I just ferried a 182 from Vegas to Houston back in Oct. Overflew Eloy @ 11K on the way and wished I could've stopped in....... I did call "Door" when overhead!!!!!! What an awesome location for a DZ........

It will definitely show back up again, as plenty of people downloaded it!...Question,,,, concerning the video. You hear one person breathing thru an oxygen mask, but no others. Who would that be? Since my job deals with oxygen systems/pressurization etc..... all the guys in my shop were interested. I thought it might be a FAC from a different A/C. Or was the U model high enough that the entire crew required oxygen? Whatd' ya think...........

Mark!!! FYI -- I received a mail yesterday at work stating the AF is INVESTIGATING the release of the AC-130 video. It stated that the "leak" was at Pentagon level and the OSI is investigating! BTW, that video made it onto CD and was distributed around the AF all last week. My boss showed it in the classroom to a bunch of AF student pilots! Not long after that our Command Coordinator called stating to NOT to show the video in class again. BTW I'm an AD AF E-7.
