Long ago, in a galaxy far far away.... Actually, we're high school sweethearts. We were both in a programme called Earthquest, kind of an alternative programme filled with outdoor survival and sports and stuff. I liked him, but he was a hound-dog and at first just went after the lookers. Then my girl-friend told him that I was hot for him (sound familiar Hol?) he asked me out, we became best friends, and the rest is history. 10 year wedding anniversary next summer. They are so adorable! They do a wonderful job on them. I collect posters. I love posters of national/provincial parks, and great space shots, and black & white prints. My home office is covered with them. My favourites are Earthrise from Apollo 8, and a great shot of the earth from space called Our Living World. Very cool! I'm planning on buying a tandem for my mom next year, maybe for mother's day. She's the only member of my famiy who says they want to try it. I can't wait! You'll have to let us know how she likes it.

I jumped my own (used) gear on jump #27, my first solo jump. I didn't intend on buying gear so soon, but I found a great kit at a great price, PLUS the dz has huge rental rates. Bongo is beautiful! I'd love to have a Bengal. Do you breed her? My cat Leaha couldn't care less about hunting, but we had another cat several years ago that took great pride in making sure a disembowled mouse was on the doorstep every time we came home. Always looked so proud... and we never had a mouse problem. I was on holiday once, and the resident cat was a bat hunter. Absolutely amazing to watch that kitty take a bat out of mid air, jumping as much as 4 feet up to get them. I'm so in that boat. I envy all of you who just did it and got on with life. I have a diploma in Graphic Arts, but live in a small town where most people don't know the difference between good design and bad. Almost continued for my BFA, but came to my senses in time to opt out. (BFA = Bachelor of F$%# All) These days I can't decide what to do when I grow up. I recently found a degree program at UBC in Agroecology that is very appealing. But I could also take a shorter diploma/certificate course and get a decent office job. What I love most is to write, and could happily do that but would like to improve my income not reduce it. Not to mention that I'm petrified of submitting my work for publication. If you look up the definition of 'cheap drunk', you'll find my name. Although, since I started hanging out at the dz after the beer light comes on, my tolerance has gone up.
