Corndogs, chicken wings? Ewww just what I like to eat when I am jumping all day in 100% humidity at 85 degrees!! NOT! lol Still I will check out their "food cart thinger!" LOL I don't usually eat much when jumping anyway...except when the day is over...I get really hungry and need BEER!! If I don't have any way to eat I just drink my dinner but that isn't exactly the most preferable. I am stoked, I didn't expect to be able to jump a CASA for a long time! WOOHOO!! One of my skydiving dreams come true! So how many people usually attend this thing each year?? I heard its pretty big... I was going to say...I did the same thing twice in a row yesterday! I had never done it before so I was really surprised. I have seen training vids and been told about it, etc. but I think sometimes it catches you by surprise after you are off student and you don't realize what you are doing. Now that I have seen a video of my first jump yesterday (the worst landing of the two, combine what we are describing with a high flare - ouch!) I can see what I did wrong. If you do it again, get someone to video the next landing. I hope I don't do that at the boogie! Yikes. Embarassing! (oh and dangerous, too, LOL) Oh P.S. I flared at the right time on the second jump but still reached out thanks to crosswind...and it wasn't as bad the first but it was not pretty, either. Just like Cyber said...keep flying it!! Hard at the very last minute, I KNOW! But we'll get it!

I have always had problems with that kind of thing, dude. It is getting better, but I would be all nervous and think...ok so I have to drive 300 miles to do this...and there have been several times I just didn't go. I made up all kinds of excuses. One advantage to traveling that far though is that once I am actually *on the road* there is no turning back! I really struggled to overcome not only my fear but my feelings of frustration at my skill level. I still feel like I suck (and I really do, honest!) But I am learning that it's ok, we all have different skill levels...I just need to make lots of jumps in a short period of time to rebuild the skills that got really rusty over the winter. They weren't that hot to begin with, so a winter layoff really hurt me. Just keep it up, don't ever think that it has been too long. If you back out three weeks in a row...think about having to do recurrency training and that should help you go! It always worked for me before I got my license. If you back out even longer, its not the end of the world, just GO BACK OUT THERE!! Ask Jessica, she had a really hard time after her cutaways. She would just go to the dz to hang out. I was so excited for Pammi and Merrick on their kiss pass! I have never experienced one so that will be pretty fun.
