Every time I see something about Texas dropzones I get all excited!! hehehe I don't live in the San Antonio area, however! I will let my fellow Texans who live down South help you out!!

So should I start taking pics of the halloween costume? Even though its a week early?! Chances are that you won't get any good pics later on...Sorry, darlings! Love to you all!! Sis Music should trigger some kind of response... - The Chemical Brothers

Well, it doesn't get as cold here in Texas as it does elsewhere, but it CAN get pretty fuckin' cold, esp. at night - we have a lot of clear days and nights and that lets all the heat out after dark - anyway, at my DZ cold (20 degrees or less plus wind chill) doesn't stop them...we sit outside and drink beer with all kinds of weird heaters...last year a guy passed out OUTSIDE and they left him there and superglued his hand to his dick...OUCH! Hardcore partying doesn't stop for the cold pussies!!! hehehe Sis Music should trigger some kind of response... - The Chemical Brothers

Its OK, I know what Wingie meant!! LOL - you mean a lot to me too, sweetie. Thanks for your input, everyone! After talking to Pyke I did have second thoughts, but then the house came available so now I can keep my two precious doggies, among other things...and my rent is going to be $200 cheaper - and some other things just seemed to fall into place. I think its going to work out quite well. The most annoying part is applying at the schools and getting all those transcripts mailed out. Its a lot of paperwork! It is worth it however...I also have to meet with a realtor today to see about putting the house I live in on the market...and start gathering up boxes to start packing. Hard work!! But I am very excited so it doesn't really matter! Sis Music should trigger some kind of response... - The Chemical Brothers

well, Pyke doesn't think I should be moving. He thinks I should stay where I am and finish school here. (I am transferring to a college down there, either UNT or UTD). He thinks me living closer to the dz will make me spend MORE time there not less. He may have a valid argument. This is a very simplified version of the story, BTW. Anyway, we had a long phone discussion the other night about it which is where this originated. I am still planning on moving, but if he wants to lay out his reasons that he thinks I shouldn't go, I think he should spell them out here, let me reply to them, and then let the rest of you put a vote to it. Pyke, I'm not upset with you, I want you to know that. The fact that you care about me means a lot to me. I am interested to see what others say about the subject, especially since they probably remember my posts a few months ago about whether or not I should do just this or not. i say wait...prices on parts are always going down and in a couple of months you might get something better for the same price. if you cant use it what's the point Sis Music should trigger some kind of response... - The Chemical Brothers

Hmmmm....not sure what to say to that... Found a house yesterday, same landlord, same town (15 miles from the dz) for the same price as the apt. (425)...College is looking up too...I'm doing better in my current classes (had to drop one though) and I think everything will transfer. One step at a time though! :) Sis Music should trigger some kind of response... - The Chemical Brothers

That's right here in Texas, my dear...our riggers work for them. ;) What can I say? All the cool shite comes from here. Sis Music should trigger some kind of response... - The Chemical Brothers

We are always taught to track perpendicular to the line of flight...and I always try to practice that. It isn't hard. However, I tracked along the line of flight Monday and still opened really far from anyone else...we were giving about ten seconds or more and the uppers were really cranking, blowing us farther apart then. However, that is the only time I have (knowingly) tracked along the line of flight, because I was trying to get closer to the dz, knowing it wouldn't help much. I paid close attention to my airspace above and below to see if I was in anyone's way...however, it was still a dumb thing to do, and luckily I came out of it OK. I still landed about 2 miles from the DZ, as did the entire load...first load of the day - can you say "adjust the spot?" LOL Big ways are different, at least at MY dz...when we have 20 and 30 ways, they usually have their own pass (jumprun). Sis Music should trigger some kind of response... - The Chemical Brothers

Hmmm I'm boring too but here goes: 1)Intentional exit: 2500 feet (s/l) 2)Intentional low pull: 2200 feet (in the saddle by 1700 or so) 3)The most stupid thing in freefall?? OH my...well, let's see: Not tracking on a 3-way Sunday and ended up being about 20 feet from my buddy after opening...so I watched his snivel...tracking along the line of flight on a solo sit Monday, pulling while on my back because I panicked (last spring sometime, saw lines and bag go right by my face, miraculously no mal)...doing weird jumps like tube jumps with Pyke with his totally shitty no-pin protection having rig... 4)Closest to killing myself? The jump where I did a low turn, didn't flare, and landed on the asphalt runway...as a student...road rash sucks OR this is a little different, but I jumped once after four glasses of wine...didn't have any problems but could have been bad...jumped the other day five minutes after waking up still hungover... 5)Biggest kick? Freeflying 6) Never been grounded 7)never been grounded 8)never been grounded 9) I hope I don't do anything else stupid but you never know. Yikes! At least in Texas when its REALLY REALLY DRY (like it was last year at this time) there is still grass, even though its all dead and brown. So the view from alti. would probably look similar, but at least there is a little dead grass in the dirt...this year its been really rainy though, and everything is green and beautiful. The trees are starting to lose their leaves but the grass is still green. In fact, there's been a LOT of rain at my dz! Which is nice, usually there are big cracks in the ground the size of the Grand Canyon you can hang your foot up on...NASTY! We gotta get Omri to the US! (For more reasons than one...I worry about him over there.) Sis Music should trigger some kind of response... - The Chemical Brothers

Well I've only been waiting on my demos for two weeks, but I am so anxious for the first one to arrive! I keep expecting to hear from PD any day about the Spectre since she said it would only be a couple of weeks...I finally understand how it feels to be waiting on a demo canopy!! LOL Sis Music should trigger some kind of response... - The Chemical Brothers

Same thing as last year, I guess, since I'm broke and can't afford a new costume or find time to make one. (Last year I was a dominatrix, as many of you remember.) Sis Music should trigger some kind of response... - The Chemical Brothers

Well...Jessica, I was wondering the same thing. Why have I been single so long? I told my mom, you see the FUNKIEST people getting married or falling in love or whatever, and then there is me...I can get laid but can't find a steady guy...SIGH. To answer the other question, about what happened...I will send you a private email. :) Sis Music should trigger some kind of response... - The Chemical Brothers
