Don't forget... you've been away for a while.... how much work do ya wanna do? .... keep it fun (even if that's simpler) and you'll do much better. Chris It's all about having a good time. Right?

The lineset installation will include a free total inspection and fix minor problems on the canopy (broken stitches, etc.) Your lineset from Precision will be checked with serial number and updated as necessary. We want to see canopies in the field... examine wear (versus location and such...). feel free to email me directly if I can help, Chris chris@precision.net

when I bought mine, it was about $3500... direct from FXC. If You need to use it, either pm or e-mail me. it is not for sale as it tests far more than just FXC AD's. Chris (I'm in Tennessee, for shipping , very close)

how many jumps are reported on that canopy? Chris

You are absolutely correct. The Candidates should not pay this extra amount, the DZO should pick up the extra $600 tab so the candidates can get their coach ratings. Chris Martin -
Hey Steve, (don't forget to come pay on your account at my dz...) You all should know that Big-Bird was trained by a hillbilly from Tennessee. Chris

at Skydive Chicago... Kirk is the hmfic in the rigging... ask for him and do it on a slow day.... if you ask on saturday when all hell is breaking loose, even a certificated rigger doesn't stand a chance. Call and ask to speak to Kirk in a tuesday (slowest day at every dz). Explain what you're looking for and that you'll "watch-learn" for free and want to help all you can. Spend a few months helping and soon you'll be indispensible. Chris

I now have almost 100 jumps on the Berger bag... all of them with my wingsuit. Seems great so far. My initial concern was wear on our HMA lines... after a few jumps my concern shifted to the lines wearing the bag. I think from what I've seen so far, no problem will be found at either end. And the openings are terrific... I hate dealing with stows. My feeling is that inconsistant stows are a large cause of line twists causing the bag to turn during line deployment. I always experienced a fair number of line twists (combination of un-modded rig, bridal, etc.) I seem to have fewer with this bag. keep asking and I'll report with more jumps/experience, etc... Chris

as tallguy was getting ready to exit the skyvan on his very first bird-man jump he looked at me and asked, nervously... "well... er, uh, what ya gonna do if i outfly you?" my response, "I fuckin' expect you to outfly me man!" Big-bird... the flyin' machine! (I only wish you got it a few days earlier so we coulda jumped together again at Byron.) Oh well, I'll see ya in Eloy fer sure! Chris

I've got a Classic with over 500 jumps... looks like new with respect to material and stitching... quite a few oil stains and such... (maybe a few cum stains in the crotch, but that's another story!) Remember... they are similar to computers... before you wear it out, you'll probably want to upgrade to something newer and faster, but you can count on these suits still being in good shape for the used market... excellent construction and material quality. The brake lines wear at vastly different rates depending upon the pilot. Look up and watch a bunch of canopies descend. Some take forever, hovering above the pack. Others simply saw through the air back and forth and land well ahead of the crowd. Some jumpers make a few docile turns and others viciously tear up the sky. That said... at Precision we now (and have been for about 2 months) use Dacron 400 pound line on all lower control lines for all new main (HMA) canopies. While we've seen lower control lines (built of 430 kg. HMA go over 800 jumps, we've also seen breaks earlier. Our decision to go to the Dacron was for the most part to squelch a rumor mill. With one or two reported premature breaks (in the 300 jump range), we saw chicken littles scream from all points. I have never seen an unannounced steering line break, (except with spectra). Inspect your lines, don't expect your "packer" to do it for you. You fly the canopy. There is no reason you cannot look at your steering lines EVERY jump. If you have excessive wear. REPLACE them! With these canopies, you can do the replacement without a rigger or sewing machine. Simply untie your toggles, unloop the lower, loop on the new one ane retie the toggle. Call or e-mail if you have any questions about your lines. Chris Precision Aerodynamics chris@NOSPAMprecision.net 423-949-4688

Not to worry, surely there'll be some one your same size with a suit. I think you'd be ok to call the office to check on delivery (and beg to make it happen.) Chris Hope ya get it man!

Tall Guy, Did you get your suit yet... I'll be there with mine... hope for some fun fluckin' flockin'. Chris Precision Aerodynamics

The 3 blade prop is less efficient but will seem smoother. From all the other jump operators I've spoken to re 3 blade... no improvement at all. I assume (know) that you are replacing the Hartzell (damned AD's!). Save a thousand bucks and go with the McCauley 2 blade kit (complete prop, spinner and govenor). Performance will be the same as your Hartzell, but no more 250 hour inspection/overhaul. Chris (I did throw one of those brand new spinners last weekend... know what? McCauley covered it all under warranty... even 6 days after the 36 month warranty expired). Feel free to pm me for any info. I'm a happy McCauley 2 blade fan.

...assuming that someone else is responsible for the plywood, (if needed), do you have your tub filled with water.... (like that matters!) get everyone staying local for the party and count the party supplies... got to have the drinks and such... I mean, who'd be happy with hearing... "Well, we have a bathtub full of water, is anyone thirsty?" Plan for the party and party the plan. CHris
