    Don't forget that kids also do dangerous stuff like play in traffic, put stuff up their noses, swim in the deep end etc... I guess they're either really brave...or just don't understand the risks of such activities.

    This sounds about typical of jetski's. If it's a two stroke jetski, then it might just be fouled spark plugs. I need to change the sparkplugs after about 12 total hours of riding on my jetski. I've had previous electrical problems with mine, which I had to completely rebuild the wiring harness. 1300 bucks is a hell of a quote from the shop, I'd go half in on a repair manual with him.

    If I got into this situation, say falling out of my rig for example. I'd be very afraid and probably thinking something along the lines of "Well this is it, into the great unknown! Hope it doesn't hurt." Then maybe say a short prayer. Then splat.

    Force large corporations such as wal-mart to give employees a cut of the profit. Not that 6 dollar an hour crap. Also tax every individual heavily, then use the money to pay for education, healthcare, etc.

    Just going to take a shot in the dark here...maybe it's because he started 3 different threads asking the same exact question. Edit: I voted instructor assisted. Maybe do another tandem if you didn't get to fly the canopy and stuff the first time. It's up to you man.

    Skydiving itself does help, but some dropzones I've been to have been loaded with drama and assholes...that probably won't help depression much.

    2.5 hours to the nearest dropzone for me. Start selling junk on ebay, you can sell damn near ANYTHING on there. List 10 small items, get 10 bucks a piece = $100 bucks. That's gas, gear rental, a jump, and possibly beer.

    hey I think we have something here. Lets strap some retro boosters to a guy with a wingsuit, and use those to slow him down so he can land without a parachute. Then after the retro rockets fire, have airbags inflate around him right before making contact with the ground. Since he'll be jumping without a rig, there will be room for airbags.
