You said it yourself: Depends on who you believe. Don´t you think the FBI has a interest in reducing the weapons out there? It wouldn´t be the first time that the FBI is actively LOBBYING for something. And statistics can always be "tweaked" to prove a point. That´s why I was using logic reasons as an argument and not a statistic. -
Yeah in a political scheme it will bring some really sweet changes

Hm.. I read through it an and think it is mostly a scare story. Best way to raise the circulation of the newspaper. People like to read about bad news. Only bad news are good news as they say. To come back to the content of the article. True the oil is declining worldwide, but it won´t happen from one day to another as the author of the article describes. It will happen slowly over DECADES. So people have time to accomodate. Just because the oil is going to run out, doesn´t mean the world is about to die. To the contrary: Poeple will finally wake up and explore other means of energy supply to a greater extent. And there ARE other means. So yes a shift will happen and energy will get more expensive, which will hurt the poorer countries and there will probably be a lot of starvation in those areas. But the industrialized countries will most likely be ok. Just my 2 cents..

Not really, I think CCW is a good think. If you would forbid it, the maniacs will still get guns. So it is in my opinion better to toss out some licenses to people and IF something happens, they can act. This speaks for itself I would say. And the people who are misusing their right to carry a weapon... well if they want to go on a rampage in the office, they still would be able to get a gun and do that without a CCW. -
As a foreigner in the US I was a little bit unfamiliar with the time schedule of their elections. So after all the ruckus in the media about the elections I read up a bit about it and my reaction was.... WTF the actual real elections are in nearly a Year from now? This circus will go on for a YEAR????

How incredibly wierd! I think it is just. Or do you want to run around with names like "Friday" or "Monday".. Crazy parents is all I can say. Atleast one person (the clerk) was thinking about the child. Everybody else here seems to think parents can mess around with their child as much as they want.... Edit: Oh and it is NOT another religious hijack. If you read it properly, it says that they asked the parents to CHANGE the name. And they refused, so they gave the kid a name that is at least partially related (day of birth) instead of leaving it nameless. If the parents don´t like the name Gregory the should have just choosen ANY other name (there are enough to choose from.... believe me). This has no religious reason behind it whatsoever... -

No way Jose! I like my eyebrows the way they are. And if someone gets to close to my ears it with wax, it will hurt (you). Edit: Oh and one of my girlfriends had once the "brilliant" idea of waxing my beard away.... Women are cruel! Needless to say that I didn´t agree with that proposal

No clue whatsoever. Only did 5 jumps so far and I am pretty nervous before everyone. But funny thing is i never hesitated once I am in the door... And as soon as you are down you want to do it again...weird lol.

Just how often do the blankets and pillows get cleaned anyway? I always bring my own because I don't trust that they are clean and you just never know what people do under those blankets. i got a hand job under one of those blankets once. Runs quickly to the bathroom and scrubs his face... yuck I will never use one of those again... Since they were all plastic wrapped so far, I always assumed that they came fresh from the cleaner... but still..

The Southwest pilots told Miami they could see the other plane and made a slight turn to avoid it. The FAA says the pilot never indicated the planes were close to a collision. The FAA said the pilot never indicated...the pilot made a turn ~ so it was a medium sized deal, if the TCAS bell rang, he's gotta fill out a report and go see the chief pilot. With "told Miami" they probably mean the aircontroller for that area. I kind of doubt it is in reference to the SDMiami dz. Isn´t there another dz closer by?
