Things you used to Love but Can't Stand Anymore

Everyone has an alchy they will NEVER drink again. Mine is goldshlager. NEVER again. But I didn't answer that b/c I was never "in love" with it. But the gold sparkly pieces were oh-so-pretty Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -
Yea, yea, yea I plan on going to a range soon to learn about guns and learn to shoot. I figure it's good survival information. I've never so much as touched a non-water gun, though My father has a safe and also collects guns. As a child, he showed me where his handgun was in his bedside table and explained to me what it was, what it was for and NEVER to touch it. Obviously he knew kids snoop around when their parents aren't watching and never wanted me to find it and play with it. I don't remember what he said. But, he explained it well enough in such a way that I did NOT want to touch it. I took a picture of the gun with the barrel tied in a knot my first trip to NY when I viisted the United Nations. I loved that photo for many years (but got rid of it after taking photography b/c I was "above" the quality of that photo by then---silly high schooler). Anywho...I'm not anti-gun, I'm just a little idealistic sometimes---I wish things didn't have to come to that Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I love your apples! But I would be scared to have "ah" gun in the house, much less gun"zz". Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Oooooo, yey! I'm a hugs 'n kisses person, too As a little girl, I took right to the trend of hug & kiss on the cheek hello. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Rings. I used to wear one on nearly every finger in high school. I'm quite certain I even started the big thumb-ring trend I wore lots of sterling silver I'd always buy in the Carribean (SO much cheaper), and turquoise rings---I LOVED turquoise. I haven't worn a ring on any finger in years. I still have them all, though. In fact, I don't wear much jewelry at all, except this killer watch my hunny got me one Christmas a few years ago. I don't know how I ever got by before w/out a watch I'm a royal always show early person. I also go through food phases. I ate a blueberry bagel for breakfast for 10 years Then I switched to multi grain and haven't had blueberry since. I could probably think of a million things -
Oh my gosh---Love, Love LOVE the mountains. Where I used to stay in NC was smack in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains. My grandparents had a gorgeous log cabin on one of the moutains---I could DEFINITELY live there. I stayed every summer for a month for 8 or 9 years. So wonderful. I can't imagine living there in the winter, though

Orchids, sea-turtle sculptures by various artists, shoes & bags My hunny collects pennies, junk mail & really old nasty dirty sneakers in the garage Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

WHAT?! It is NOT. It is a magical fluid blessed by the wizard which allows the ball to tell the future to anyone who seeks its advice. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I don't really know what I am---much like everything else---I never seem to fit neatly into any category. I grew up in Orlando. Have royally country family I'd spend summers with in NC, KY, etc.. Would spend time in South Beach when I was older working there. Live at the beach now, outside of a big city about 30 minutes away. When you grow up in Florida, you're kind of in a melting pot of cultures---country/southern, big-city types, Latin/Miami area. I am mostly German but my Spanish accent is flawless and my German accent stinks When I speak normally, I have a Southern draw, and obviously say "ya'll" since I type it often enough All I know is, while I LOVE to visit--I can't stand the big cities. I need trees, I need to NOT see my neighbor's house (though my current home is far too close to my neighbors for my liking), I need water--be it ocean, intracoastal, or huge lake. But, I also need a Publix & a Starbucks w/in reason. I love my home now, but am looing for a 2nd home even further away from the city part and more secluded. Problem is, more secluded where I live = more $$$. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I forget what it was, now, that I found. But, I found some fossil on the beach once---we were purposely looking for a science project of mine. My professor REALLY wanted to keep it. So we made a nice exhange---I didn't have to go to several labs, and he still gave me an A. Course---now that I think about it, I'd rather have failed if it were really worth something. I think he just wanted it for his "collection". Science people are weird Just kidding Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Well, I might be cute, but my hunny knows he's still gettin' some nookie after he orders the filet from the menu Damn him! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I haven't had bacon since I was 11. I stopped eating Wilbur alltogether for animal welfare reasons. I could go on and on and on with facts and cases-in-point, but I try very hard not to. B/c I LOVED bacon. The smell still makes me hungry. But knowing what I know, I will never eat Wilbur again To each their own. I'm not out joining every cancer-research fund-run, but many people do. Thank goodness they do. Each person has their own passion and can choose to make a difference in their own way with their own thing. Sure, I'd LOVE if everyone felt as I do about animal welfare, but I don't believe in pushing my beliefs onto others if I can so help it (which is hard since I'm royally opinonated and outspoken). From "Best Friends Magazine" May/June 2006: "An Austrailian family stands to make a lot of money off a chunk of whale vomit. They found the strange object on a remote beach and, curious about what it was, took it home. When they consulted a marine expert, they learned that the 32-pound blob was a rare find worth around $300,000. Ambergris (whale vomit) is used in the manufacture of fine perfumes. Scientists think that sperm whales vomit the ambergris to rid their intestines of hard objects, like the beaks of squid." There is a picture accompanying that just looks like a fugly rock to me. Thought that was interesting. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Interesting. He also had a mustache I guess all men that choose to sport a 'stache are evil. I am done here. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Well, it's certainly not in the food chain. But, last time I checked lions don't raise & abuse their prey before consumption Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I believe in the food chain, definitely. Animals eat other animals, people. For me (other than health reasons), being mostly vegetarian/vegan is about waste (so much of this meat is trashed when not bought) and about how they're raised/treated, etc. It's about animal welfare and over-consumption. Humans do not need bacon & sausage for breakfast, a burger for lunch and a steak dinner. Though many people include meat in EVERY one of their meals. They are PLENTY of other sources of protein. I didn't know even 1/10th of how bad the treatment of farm-raised animals are until AFTER I became mostly vegetarian/vegan. Ignorance really is bliss. There are plenty of sources you can find this information even if you do not like PETA (I am a PETA member b/c they have fabulous sources of info and do all the research into companies so I know which do not test on animals, and also have links to stores/brands that sell animal friendly products & clothing.) I don't necessarily agree with PETA's tactics for "making people aware" but they do, do a really good job of exposing these terrible industries. We can still be at the top of the food chain and eat cow and chicken and whatever else w/out having to abuse the animals beforehand. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I carry in my wallet a little poem called "The Man & The Starfish." In short, it just means that while you might not be able to save the world, what little things you do still make a difference. I can't call myself vegan or vegatarian, b/c I too can't give up fish, or more especially CHEESE.
-
I didn't get you wrong, silly And, I really do hate to jump on the Olsen-twin Starbucks phenom, but it just doesn't taste any better than Starbucks---I get excited when I'm somewhere unfamiliar, but there in the distance is the green circle and I can't quite read what it says yet, but I already know---it's my place, my familiar face, my delicious indulgence. Funny, it was actually my hunny that got my hooked on it. He used to be more of a jiffy-store coffee kind of guy, now we're both regulars at our nearby store. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Are you flipping kidding me??? Yes, I will come visit Washington is one of the most beautiful states I've ever been to--and I've been to 42 states. Alaska & North Carolina also have my heart. But I'm in LOVE with my homestate of Florida But here in Florida---Coho is GROSS (and I LOVE salmon, so I would know) and Sockeye is choice. All the fresh markets carry Sockeye when it's in season---it tastes like it naturally has butter in it. I eat sockeye sushi frequently Agreed that King Salmon is also yummy.

You say, "Hello. You are a conceited bitch. That is all." They probably won't care, but you'll feel better.
