Well, of course I disagree. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on one's viewpoint, I think there are plenty people like this in reality; especially in the "genius" sector of people. I have a few geniuses in my family (passed away now) that were quite over-the-top themselves. But, that's my arguement if you're looking at him literally. Figuratively, I enjoy what he (House) represents and the other characters as well.

Aaaaa, Fishy. Fishy. Fishy. Fishy. OK...back to "House". Ya'll MUST promise me to watch this Tuesday's episode (rerun from 2nd season). Pretty, pretty please with a cherry on top! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I can't cook to save my life---nor do I enjoy it, which is probably why I can't. But I LOOOOOOVE to eat yummy foods prepared expertly. I love watching people compete for the best dish.

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about. I'm not telling people to watch a LOT of TV---just make the time you watch it worth it! House is soooooo worth it.

I like that she makes sense and I don't disagree with her...yet I'm still cheering House on. They both make excellent points all the time. I love that all perspectives are represented.

Scratch that. The reruns of the second season come on at 8 & 9 p.m. (my time) on Tuesdays. Watch next week's instead. The cliffhanger at the end of last season will be continued on the first episode of the new, so I think watching one of the reruns will give you a much better idea of how flipping great the show is. I couldn't stand it. I watched "Top Chef" on Bravo when it was on and that ruined me on "Hell's Kitchen". I enjoy Chef Ramsey, but the show itself was kinda bland---as far as cooking and good TV goes, I'd take "Top Chef" over "Hell's Kitchen" anyday. But, I loved the "stupid cow" commentary. Is it weird I like watching people make food and eat it? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I enjoy things that cause me to unconsciously hold my breath and I actually hear myself gasp for air at commercial break. Of course, I watch it on DVR and now I get an actual oxygen high when it's over. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Yes, I've heard that. I like that I'm unbiased. I had never seen him before House. I actually thought "What a great break for a fabulous unknown." Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Finally, a sane person in the hizouse. I love Hugh Laurie, too. I knew he was from England, but the other day I caught that movie "Flight of the Phoenix" and his English accent threw me for a big loop! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

(Edited to add a link) In a nutshell, House is a medical genious, and also an asshole (or is he?). And I love him.

Does anyone else watch this show? I love it. The new season is starting soon! http://www.fox.com/house/
  16. I shall now return the favor... This speaks for me, as well.
  17. Oh, I'll carry on. Soon you'll ALWAYS be agreeing with me. Ha. Ha. Haaaa. Ha. Ahhh. Ha! Ha! Ha. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  18. They do a lot of good that I fully support and applaud. Thus, I must accept they also do things I disagree with. They are at the bottom of my charitable-donation list, however. I pay the minimum to remain a member. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  19. If you're being serious, me neither. And though I'm a member of PETA, I would never throw paint on someone wearing a fur coat. I disagree with such tactics. I might consider posing naked in Stella McCartney's store window though for the cause. The funny thing is, my friend knows if she insists on wearing her fur when we go out together, I must equally insist on sporting my "Mean People Wear Fur" T-shirt. You know...for balance and such. 21. It's important to understand many pro-choicers also feel this way. A comment or two is certainly different than what escalates into a loss of friendship. As your mind would likely be unwaivering in this case, such could be true for your friend as well. If you cherish your ability to stay true to yourself and your morals, it might be something to consider to also accept that in your friend. One of my closest friends loves fur. We might never see eye to eye on this subject. But she will buy fur whether she is my friend or not. Thus, I would view it as a great loss, rather than a stand for my beliefs, to loose a friendship over it. Besides, the longer we're friends, the more influence I gain in her life. And she has bought less fur.
  22. There are no absolutes in life. With every good there is also a bad. If you want the option of the good in life, you must also accept the bad. For example, those who support stem cell research for the purpose of curing disease, but adamantly oppose abortion. Certainly one can feel this way personally, but if one wants the option of one, they must accept others will also use the option in an equal and opposite way. Technology is always an exact example of this. Most often designed with "good intentions" it can always be used with opposite intentions. Though now we can determine if the baby will have Down's before birth and offer the option of abortion, soon we'll not only be able to determine that but actually inject the fetus and cure it before birth. I would venture to guess you would have no issue with the latter...? For me personally, I must chose: Am I pro-life or pro-choice? I have strong opinions, beliefs and morals that I abide by for myself. IMO, it would be hypocritical to expect others to conform to mine, rather than abide by their own. Thus, I must be pro-choice. While, I want to give the option to rape victims and even persons in no position to have a baby, I would never want abortion to be used as a form of birth control. But, if I want the option for one, I must accept it will be an option for all. So one must choose: Deny all for the sake of preventing some who might "abuse" the right? Or allow all and accept that some will abuse the right? I'd rather give people the option to make their own, hopefully right by their morals, choice.

  24. What difference does it make until that which is in question is proven? It's like arguing which pie tastes better before tasting.
  25. That's the one that stumped me, too. I said "Kryptonite". I have my blonde moments. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
