    The wind was around 18-25 mph that day where the OP was jumping (SDD). It's pretty typical there. Having witnessed a few people being dragged a wee bit on landing due to canopies staying inflated (myself included), I understand his desire to disconnect the RSL this weekend.     I understand your pain, but I DO want to tell you congratulations for at least taking the steps to further your education. There's nothing better than exposing yourself to different ideas and -possibly-learning or disagreeing with some very new and exciting things. Granted, you can do this from home with a library card, but it's still something I think is important. Good luck with paying off the loans.     It's kind of personal, but you know how some of the guys can be to females out there, right? At the time, it was a bit too much for me. I am very happy that I tried again where I currently jump.     Yep, I'm going to agree with you there. My DZ has some amazing TMs. One of them was so infectious about his passion that I fully credit him for getting me hooked on this sport. That being said, a few years earlier, I had gone to another DZ to jump with my mom.
