  1. If your brother lives in McKinney, why don't you jump down the road at Skydive Dallas??? ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  2. I was GOING to do a naked jump...but it's still too cold here. My year anniversary is April 15th though, so I'll try that weekend. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  3. Hey everyone! I did my 100th jump Saturday. I had to do 7 in one day to get on one of the last loads of the day! It was a 14-way mess. hahaha! I had a lot of fun though. Anytime I get to spend with friends in the air is fun for me. Of course, we never made a point...and people were everywhere. Thankfully we all landed safely. Thanks to everyone who helped put it together and to all who were a part of it! It was definitely a jump to remember!!! I am beyond sore today! ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  4. Hey Jim! Happy 100th! Thanks for letting me be a part of it. Can I borrow the hoop dive video?...there's ummm...something I'd like to edit out of it. SDD is a pretty dang great place to jump. You're concern for other's safety and positive personality makes it even better! See ya next time you're out there... ps...my 100th should be this weekend. Come play!!! ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  5. Too bad nobody is doing them around here, Ron... =( Mine keeps getting rescheduled. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  6. Once I downsized a few times, I became monumentally better with my landings. There's nothing fun about underloading. boo hiss! I did slide in this weekend after we changed out my Sabre 2 135 to a loaner Spectre 135. The flare is a bit different, but I'd rather jump that then nothing right now. (my Sabre2 is being sent back to PD for some test jumping). There was a point when I was under 25 jumps where I thought I'd never learn to flare on time. Now it just comes naturally. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  7. I talked to Jeff, Tom, Ernie, and Storrie before selecting the size. All said I would be fine on it. Storrie is actually my rigger, but Tom helped him put it together because he wasn't feeling well at the time. My problem is that I could either go with a bigger container which would have fit me VERY poorly because of my size, or go with a smaller canopy. The 135 is really tight in there, so there would be no way a 150 could fit. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  8. Tom is the one that put it together, and he was packing it for me Sunday. He was surprised I didn't chop one of them. Tom said he'd take a look at it this weekend to make sure everything is ok. I'll see if someone will jump it for me as well. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  9. ok...so that vid shows something really TAME compared to what mine does! The guy that opened near me said my opening scared the crap out of him, but it's something that happens everytime. I get whipped around like a ragdoll. My rigger is going to take a look at the lines before I jump it again. It's brand new, so it just might be because of that...I don't know. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  10. I've never been scared when I open until recently. I have less than 10 jumps on my new Sabre 2 135, and everytime I have endcell closure with a hard dive to the left. It was so bad yesterday that it flung me horizontal and gave me line twists all the way up. I'm seriously reconsidering my canopy choice. Do I really just have to get used to it, or is there something that can be done? I used to jump a Sabre 150. I never had any problems with it. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  11. I'm sad. I really liked the guy. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  12. I remember crying on the way to the plane when i was getting ready to jump my first pack job. It's the only time I've been truly nervous about jumping. Everyone kept reassuring me by saying, "IT WANTS TO OPEN!" ...and it did...beautifully! yea! Take pride in learning to pack. It's pretty awesome. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  13. No kidding! I think I owe more than two cases. Maybe I should rent a truck to bring it all in hahaha!! ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  14. Hahaha! Niiiiiice! What about the goats? I want a goat...I still thinks we should go find them. BTW...when are you coming out again? ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  15. Dang! Get back in that practice harness now! ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  16. Niiiiiiice... Some people just don't like to talk about it. hahaha ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  17. Thanks! I love black...I'm very stealthy and ninja-like. I can sneak up on anyone until I trip over thin air and prove my total klutziness to the world. Hopefully if and WHEN I chop it, I'll have some kind people to help track that sucker down. I have a feeling some poor cow will be wearing it as a dress in a field nearby. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  18. I didn't get any in the sky since my friend/camera guy was doing tandems all day. Someone got some pics of my landing though . ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  19. I know this might be cheesy for a few, but I did my first jump of the year on my brand spanking new rig and in my new Bev suit. I'm a fairly new jumper (not even a year in the sport yet), so this was really exciting for me. Everything on the rig is still stiff and tight, so I found out pretty quickly that I throw like a girl. It took two tries to get my pilot chute out. No problem though. Everything opened fine. I had a perfect landing, and was screaming all the way into the hangar from happiness.
  20. HIIIIII! Any video of the umbrella incident? ha! Welcome to the sport! ...and good luck! ~Nik ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  21. Somewhere warm??? ha!!! This past Sunday at the DZ, I slipped and fell on the ice going into the hangar...not once...but twice!!! The windsock was frozen to the pole too. At least I got to jump this weekend though. The skies and winds were great FINALLY. I finally had to stop after only 4 jumps though because the skin around my mouth was turning blue. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  22. That would be Angelina! She's a lot of fun. Mason and Jim are the other two on the team. Both great guys. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  23. Hey it was really great meeting you!!! I wish the weather had been better, but at least some loads made it up. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  24. Uh huh! They have special altitude climbing powers. There can't be a load without an amazing mustache. It makes the Otter sad... ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
  25. I'm new myself, so I really don't know what I'm talking about and I certainly don't know how static line works (I went through AFF). However, I'm around that weight, and I don't have a problem with stability. My thoughts are that a rig the size needed to hold a 230 might be sliding off to one side or another because you're so small creating instability. It happened to me in a 170, so they moved me down to a 150. Just my 2¢. I don't mind if someone tells me I'm wrong. k. bye. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
