  1. So it seems the issue has only been resolved for some... I'm going to try some different placements, maybe along the left hand side bar, under the 'my stuff' menu. Hopefully this will resolve all issues related to the button.
  2. The following user has been reported by several users as a scammer. The user put up an ad over the past few days which was copied from another website, he then asks for payment via paypal. PLEASE NOTE: The ads are often generic and copied and pasted from other legitimate ads, but the price will be too good to be true, and like they say - when it seems to be, it probably is. Do not do business with the following username: Username: gtzpkins This user is using a scam that is increasing in popularity on sales websites throughout the internet, where they will copy and paste a legitimate advert from another website so that the wording sounds as though it is really a skydiver, making it very difficult to decipher whether the user is legitimate or not. We highly recommend attempting to ask questions that are difficult for scammers to answer relating to their item, that they could not know from copy and pasting. If there is any doubt as to whether the seller is legitimate or not, we also recommend considering asking them to work the sale through their dropzone. We ask you to remain vigilant when it comes to online purchases. The user has been removed from the site.
  3. There will always be a series of loading, where the main page loads (as it's on our server), then when the items hosted on other servers load, in this case the ads and the fb button. The amount by which the button shifts the page was dramatically reduced yesterday. When testing here, I see it moving maybe 2mm when it loads, not enough to change the thread that you were hovering over before. Though I'm assuming if you're using a low resolution monitor or a mobile device, it may be different. Then there are less pixels to work with and even a 5px shift for example, would be more noticeable. I will continue to look into how it can be fixed some more next week, but in my testing, it's shifting a lot less than it was. And when I play my curser over a title prior to the load, after the load it remains on it.
  4. Hrm... I've heard about this problem from one other user, assuming it wasn't you who I discussed it with via e-mail. It's difficult to say exactly what is causing it, since I've never come across this and never heard of anyone else not using internet explorer having this problem. IE doesn't seem to handle the procedure correctly. I can try looking into what is causing it on Monday, but for an easy fix in the mean time I'd highly suggest using a better browser, such as firefox, or alternatively chrome. IE really is an absolutely awful internet browser ;)
  5. I've changed the area where the little facebook like box is displayed, to try prevent it from expanding the height of the page. This should fix the problem you guys have been having.
  6. I'll look into it and see if we can try and make a steady height for the header and the area where the facebook add-on is, or shift the latter somewhere else. CarpeDiem3: While ad removal isn't provided as a feature on the site, there are other ways of removing them. But remember, it's ads that keep dropzone.com running
  7. It does look like it's more likely to be the ad popping up in the header that pushes it down the most. I will see if we can make the header height fixed to help with the problem.
  8. You just bumped an 11 year old thread... I have some doubts as to the validity of your account ¬_¬

  12. I've managed to rectify this issue, it should be working fine now. If you have any other troubles with it in future just shout.
  13. This issue should now be resolved.
  14. Except twice as incestuous.... Oh google, you rascal.
  15. The following scam has been reported: Click here to read more about these kind of scams. Remember: DO NOT do business with anyone who offers to send you payment for a higher amount than your selling price with the understanding that you'll send back the balance. Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be acting on behalf of a "client" or another "customer". Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be from Nigeria or West Africa If you agree to accept a check payment, then do not send anything, gear or "change" before the check cleared. And be careful, if you manage to clear a fraudulent check then you may be liable for the damages if the bank finds out later. Make sure your bank authenticates the check. If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is.This username has been disabled.
  16. We currently have an issue where there was a rewrite rule in place to change the way we generate the URLs, and it seems that all the 'more' pages were affected. This is true for all the sections, including gear. etc We are hoping to have them back up and running very shortly, will make a post about it here once everything is as it should be.

Thanks for the kind words! There's a couple of us trying to give the site the attention it deserves and with Sangiro back behind the steering wheel, it feels to be working. Things should only go from strength to strength, glad you're happy with it currently!
  18. Thanks for letting us know, I just checked it out on my android and agree that it could easily be hit when one is on a forum post page and wants to use the breadcrumbs to go back to the main forum page, will see if we can find a way to make it a bit less of an issue.
  19. Thanks for the heads up, it seems there is a problem generating the more pages, going to look into this and hopefully have it fixed shortly.
  20. It is something that we have thought about and still think it's probably a good idea, we originally looked to implement it ages ago, our problem being that the content management system didn't have this functionality available. I suspect that it is something we will try push again to get up and running and may well become something that we implement to the classifieds at some point in the future.
  21. Hrm... While I'm not entirely sure what is causing it, the logical explanation would be something to do with the ads, the ads are really the only thing other than the forums themselves that load up. But it shouldn't be causing any crash, unless your phone is struggling to handle the javascript involved - I will do some testing on a mobile device and see if I can maybe pinpoint where it's coming from.
