    E-bay

There were 8 or so cypres units that were being shipped out and were damagged in a train wreck a few months back and after they were salvaged they made it onto Ebay, The US cypres folks found out and talked to the seller and then they were pulled from the sale I believe. This might possibly be another, hopefully the cypres people will check the S/n.
  4. Yeah, I think someone beat you to this one. I saw it a few months back. If you get one of his suits, probably a good idea to keep it to yourself. I heard there was another shooting today, keep your head down.
  5. The wind tends to blow out of the southwest and create a lot of turbulence from the buildings, so as BB said; "the locals tend to stand down" there is always another day.
  6. The other "No Fly Zone" is 500' over the buildings. For a better clarification see the aerial photo in the manifest office when you check in. See you all then.
  7. All right Andi!! Mr Bikerbabe steps up...........Uh, hobbles, up to the plate. Good for him! (and you too) See you at the Holiday boogie!!! Gordo
  8. The difference between living or existing.
  9. I love getting up at 5am, going to the loft and stretch, watching the dirt dive, gearing up and going to the tram, saying good morning to Tom the world famous tram driver, waiting for the Otter at the loading area, waving a good morning to Rick or Monk or whoever is flying today, sitting by the door and watching the sunlight on the desert floor, looking back inside the aircraft and seeing the look of concentration on teammates faces as they visualize the skydive, putting my helmet on at the 1 minute call, quick gear check and then open the door on the amber light, climbout on the green, mental high fives to the outside people, Outside center gives the count, we go, beautiful 8 way chunk, the key comes, the sky dance begins........... Yeah, thats what I like about my job.
  10. I hate having to get up @5am go to the loft, stretch, watch the dirt dive, gear up, go to the tram, say good morning to the world famous Tom the tram driver, wait for the Otter, wave to Monk or Rick or whoever is flying, sit by the door watch the morning sun on the desert floor on our way up to altitude, see the look of concentration on the faces of my teammates as they dirt dive, at the 1 minute put my helmet on, open the door on the amber light, climbout on the green, give mental high fives to the outside people, our team leader gives the count, we all drop off, the sky dance begins.....................

    Tube jump

Those are a lot of fun, especially when they oscillate around and sometimes will go end over end. watch your pilotchutes the pockets need to be really tight, a premature in those can be deadly!!! If April put that together, tell her Gordo says hello.
  13. Oh yeah, please buy a shirt from our AZ Skysurf pals, thank you.
  14. that picture has traumatized me............I'm gonna sue somebody........... I can't even think about getting laid, oh yeah......somebody is gonna F#@%*&g pay for this!!!!!
  15. I can't believe that anyone would pass up living in the beautiful metropolis of Eloy AZ. Sure LA has Perris and Elsinore, two really nice DZ's but who would'nt like to live in the stark, farmer ravaged then abandoned desert?? I mean really!!! Sure LA has probably the best night life this side of Paris France, but hey, we have the Bent Prop, a world renowned eatery and bar. And where else can you get rip roaring drunk then challenge the rest of the drunks to a rousing game of drunk volleyball, sure you should'nt play barefoot because of the DZ cats are always in the sand leaving little kitty landmines but you don't even notice if you keep your shoes on. Can Perris boast of the desert toads that come out at night to eat crickets? Sure you have to watch your step after dark, but I'll bet they have to watch where they step in LA what with all the dog crap on the sidewalks. I just don't understand it, LA over Eloy.
  16. But who would want to do 8 way from an airplane with a small gash that others call a door????
  17. It's all an illusion- Donald Shimoda (Illusions, Richard Bach)
  18. I am certain there will be some mercenaries there you can hire for the meet. Nobody from the Ranch is available? Send an email to Chicago and see what availabilty might be. Good luck.
  19. Evolution is well and we meet again in Chi-town for a mini camp before 4 way starts, I got permission to shoot for Delirium during 4 way, then back to Evo for 8, 16, and 10 way this will be the first time in 5 years that I will have a full plate for Nats, no slack days for this kid! Speaking of slack, I never submitted a picture for website See you and all the SoCal teams out there. Gordo
  20. I wish I had seen an article like Quades back in '95 when I first started, everyone should read it cameraflyer or not. Thanks Paul.
  21. The offending jumper tracked early, the cameraflyer was still following the plan when the other three tracked away, if the first jumper had left with the others this incident would not have happened, if the first jumper would have had the forethought to track farther this incident would not have happened but, what did happen is that not all participants followed the plan. Luckily everyone was able to learn from this and I think that all will follow their plan now.
  22. I saw the video, the jumper broke off a little earlyand tracked to cameraflyers left, the cameraflyer then pulled about five seconds after when the other three broke and tracked away. The video then shows the canopy from the first jumper about 10:30 level with the cameraflyer and collision was about 2 seconds after that. It was reported that the jumper tracked their usual distance, but did break off a little earlier than usual. There is plenty left to say about this incident but I am just glad that neither of my friends were hurt.
