OMG!!! I am SO feeling the love! I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Race didn't seem to be a factor. It's just hard to get into prison through the state system unless you are violent. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. It is not a circular argument. It is cause and effect. The cause of higher minority percentages in prison is that higher percentages of minorities are committing crimes. To be a circular argument, high minority percentages in prison would have to lead back to higher minorities committing crimes. However, you are correct that this cause and effect begs the question; what is causing the higher minority participation in crime to begin with? I cannot agree that the minority is inherently prone to ciminal behavior. There is no support for that argument other than the results. Results leading one to argue cause suggests crazy things like; breathing leads to death. One does precede the other often, but there is no causal relationship. I suspect there is a cultural element that provides a greater level of acceptance for criminal behavior in some inner city minority environments. I think an entitlement mentality can lead to frustration that could justify criminal behavior. There also seems to be some media glorification of gang/drug/criminal activity that surely has an effect. Those are just off the top of my head. No research involved. I suspect an objective answer would be very hard to find. It seems to me that most researchers set out to prove their pre-conceived notions and this case would be prime for that sort of conduct. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

When I was in college, we discussed the fact that 70% of inmates were black. We discussed that 70% of crimes were committed by blacks. Made sense to me. Always confused me that people found the incarceration rate outrageous and only compared it to population size. I did a quick search to see if the stats were still the same. I found this article: http://www.city-journal.org/2010/eon0514hm.html Seems things haven't changed much. People still ignore the cause and effect of 'crime begets incarceration' and pretend that race is the problem. I was a cop once. I later did criminal defense. I assure you that you have to work hard to get locked up for any length of time in Alabama. I have defended non-violent offenders on their sixth or seventh felony and had the prosecutor offer to extend their current probation with no negotiation necessary. Six or seven felonies and they have never seen the inside of a prison. It is also true that every level of the system allows a chance to get out. The cop can give you a bye. The prosecutor can choose not to go after you. The judge can cut you loose. The jury can let you go. The appeals court can turn you loose. By the time you get to prison, it is highly unlikely that you haven't done anything. It is highly likely that you've done much more than what you were convicted of. That's because most of it is in the Third World, which is largely ignored by US news media. Sudan? Where? Who gives a shit? I have a friend who immigrated here from Iran as a teenager. He likes to wryly use the phrase "First World problems" when he hears Americans bitch about that sort of thing. Like when our fridge in the kitchen broke down and my kids bitched about having to suffer the indignity of walking the extra distance into our garage where the second refrigerator we own is located. First World problems, kids, you're makin' me cry. And take the trash out while you're going out there. Exactly. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. I suddenly had a mental image of Andy in a habit, with a ruler... Here 'ya go! Ok, gotta let you all know and vent a little. I recently purchased a rig from Dwayne Padgett and has been quite possibly the most aggrevating, fubar purchase that I have ever made out of the countless purchases over the many years in the sport. Starts out with this douche refusing to send out the rig for inspection prior to receiving money, which, I can relate to, the world has definitely changed and you really can't trust anyone. So, he informs me that he has a friend close by that he can send the rig to, I can look at it, and pass the money onto the friend. So he ships it out. Now this is where the fun begins. This FRIEND is leaving out of town the day before shipment. I inform the guy that I have several contacts that he can call and verify that I'm not a crook and I convince him to pick up the package from this persons house and will wire the money upon receipt. He agrees. His friend tells me that UPS runs around 2 so I go there and wait till 5:30 when the package actually gets there. Upon inspecting the rig, I find that the Cypres that he advertised as a DOM of 6/03, which would still have 3 years left, actually has a DOM of 6/93. Which means that it should have been thrown in the trash about 6 YEARS AGO! Now I'm a little urked at this time and confront the guy about it and he informs me that "out of the goodness of his heart, he can send me a gear bag and an altimeter", Being completely frustrated with the whole process, I agree run to the bank and wire the money to the numbers that HE gave the bank, which were the WRONG NUMBERS!!! So, instead of this guy getting his money in about 15 minutes, it takes two more days. That was two weeks ago and the douche still has not sent bag and altimeter. I sent out an email letting him know that I would appreciate a tracking number or I will move to the next step, which is post on here what he did to me. He writes back with a "I don't take threats very well" and I will get it when I get it. So, here we are, letting all of you know to NOT purchase anything from Dwayne Padgett from South carolina. If you do, be sure to inspect the gear prior to sending money. I have since told him to keep the bag and altimeter, I really don't want to wait at a strangers house for 3 more hours waiting on a delivery. I'm sure this dude will get on here and rebuke letting you all know how much of an ass I was, so I'm anxiously awaiting his response! :) I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Ummmm...still exists in many parts of the world. It doesn't get much play in the US. But every time I deploy, we have to go through mandatory training on human trafficking. In general, Americans of all persuassions have no idea how good they have it. They complain about things that many people in the world would rejoice over. Chris Rock appears to be one. He's likely in his mansion, with his garage full of sports cars, tweeting on his fancy phone, lamenting how hard it is to be him in America. Forget about the rest of the world...I would likely swap places with him. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. Stop-and-Frisks Have Done Little to Reduce Shootings

I've seen a couple of female officers that could frisk me. Other than that, I have to object. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course. -
In the case of US Grant, he was hiding the fact that his parents named him Hiram and Ulysses. Since fellow students pretended the S stood for Sam (Uncle Same; US) and called him that, I see why he didn't try to change it. Correction: the one who messed up his name was the congressman who sponsored him to West Point. He did, however, use the mother's name (Simpson) as the point of mistake. I did a little research on the prosthetic. As I thought, it was designed to be better than the original organic part. Before all this started, the language indicated to me that it gave the wearer an advantage. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

I don't see it having any politcal value. Just odd. US Grant's middle name was Ulysses. As I recall, West Point messed up his name with his mother's maiden name and it was too hard to get them to straighten it out. Seems the Army has always had poor quality systems. Nothing has changed. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

They're going to have to address this. Obviously, the designers were trying to give him an advantage. Otherwise, they would have used non-rebounding components and simulated a natural calf and ankle geometry. I think I saw video of a guy using these things to spring all over the place and do flips. Not certain. Even if this one does not, what does the future hold? Must be addressed. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. I find the zip code explanation plausible. Has anyone come out and declared that is what happened? Did his original card arrive in Connecticut and get re-routed or re-issued? It seems a little drama about government red tape that would have left a cute story to tell. Did anyone ever tell it? It's odd. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Every time I leave the US, I am heavily armed and in uniform. I'm moving to Belgium in a couple of months, but it is another government move, so I anticipate the experience will be different from normal. OK. I saw that the first time and missed the nuance. So, the question is obvious. Why was it sent to Connecticut? Kind of odd. Should have a simple explanation. On what is the number based? I was born in Alabama and received my number in Alabama, so it didn't come up. My children were similar situations. Andy - you say it has been debunked. Can you provide a cite? I ran a google search and couldn't find it. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. I figured as much. I presume they either did not anticipate prosthetics or are ambiguous on the subject. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Interesting. I've never heard of them. I would have expected the agency to be ICE. We have too many redundant agencies. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. I'm afraid I am not following your lament. It appears related to a previous post that I did not see. Your posts here mention CBP (Canadian Border Patrol?). I have no idea how US courts would influence them. If it is the US that will not allow these people (and you) to enter, I'm a bit confused. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

I think your argument is that since he has no legs, anything goes for him? I'm sympathetic to his condition, but I'm not sure that bolsters the goals of the competition. Can a quadraplegic use a rocket sled? I think it obvious that the designers and builders of his prosthetics set out to provide him a mechanical advantage. If they succeded, he should only compete with those who share that mechanical advantage. It's apparently bloody hard to tell if they succeded. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

What if I show up with shoes that make my stride significantly longer and have a device in them that rebounds energy and helps me go faster? Heck, how about in-line skates?
