If that's the definition, dork is a badge I wear proudly.

I am truly amazed that 2100 jumps would advocate such a thing. Just amazed! With respect to landing into the wind, I tell my students: We prefer to land into the wind because it slows down our ground speed. But landing into the wind is not mandatory, it's not necessary and sometimes it's even inadvisable. Our students do not fear crosswind and downwind landings. +1 here 4. Review of landing priorities a. Land with the wing level and flying in a straight line. b. Land in a clear and open area, avoiding obstacles. c. Flare to at least the half-brake position. d. Perform a parachute landing fall No where is "into the wind" a priority. It is optimal, but not a priority as taught in FJC. Kim Mills USPA D21696 Tandem I, AFF I and Static Line I

Think about main or reserve accidental deployment in the tunnel. I don't know if it is "allowed" or not, but I certainly wouldn't want a rig on it the tunnel. Kim Mills USPA D21696 Tandem I, AFF I and Static Line I

That's one helluva weekend. Wish we could have joined ya. Well get back in the air and maybe I can check out the western half of the country for a boogie. That would be great! Yes, first time in the tunnel and I got over 2 1/2 hours out of it. My shoulder issues have really started to flare up since the season took off. I don't look forward to giving into surgery and the following rehab. Good thing I have a high pain tolerance! Kim Mills USPA D21696 Tandem I, AFF I and Static Line I

Hey Bolas!!! I ducked out early tonight... will be back in the morning at 6:00 a.m. for balloon jumps and then a day of fun. This is a great boogie. Where else can you jump for free?!! We waited a while for weather to break this morning, but when it did the dz came alive instantly and things really started rolling. Vendor row is awesome. I ordered some custom pants from Tony Suits today. Yay! Can't wait for balloon in the morning and Casa to arrive tomorrow... Oh one more thing to add... the organizers at the boogie are freaking awesome!!!! You'd be crazy not to take advantage of getting on some organized loads. Bolas - look for me and come say hi!!!!! See you bright and early in the morning!!!! Kim Mills USPA D21696 Tandem I, AFF I and Static Line I -

I'm here!!! Got in one jump from the PAC after I got here around 6:30ish. (Which was enough for me... came from Raeford after doing 2 1/2 hours plus in the tunnel). It was the last load of the day. Huge landing area. Awesome and friendly folks everywhere. Can't wait for people to start getting here! Will be doing the balloon Friday morning. 6:15 a.m. Ugh. No one told me how early it was... should have picked the PM jump. Anyhow.... I'm here....... Kim Mills USPA D21696 Tandem I, AFF I and Static Line I -
:4: 4 jumps (3 of which were AFF) Almost 3 hours in the tunnel at Raeford Beer for no longer being a tunnel virgin! Off to Carolina Fest for the rest of the week. Will someone please tell weather gods to be nice this week?! Kim Mills USPA D21696 Tandem I, AFF I and Static Line I

If I know I am going to have a couple glasses of wine with friends I will cut back on what I have in food calories for that day because the wine is sooooo worth the sacrifice. I have never had anything on the list nor would I be tempted to (other than the lamb... I love lamb). I am lucky to have a cafeteria for lunch at work with an awesome salad bar. I also have an app on my iPhone called Lose It... it allows me to track all my calories and exercise for the day. Accountability is good. I think that nutritional information should be listed with each menu description at restaurants. Kim Mills USPA D21696 Tandem I, AFF I and Static Line I

I don't know Nat. I think they might get further faster in life, but I feel it will catch up with them. I don't think they ever "win". Kim Mills USPA D21696 Tandem I, AFF I and Static Line I

It is sad. I jumped with Mark in the late 90's in Franfort, Indiana. He had his issues and problems but sad nonetheless. BSBD Mark Kim Mills USPA D21696 Tandem I, AFF I and Static Line I

I'm not a big fan of a Coach for Cat E's that's a recent change? Nope. That is the same for static line progression also. Which is why so many (rightfully so) think the USPA coach program is backwards. You have to have a static line instructor rating to hold the rope during exit, but only need a coach rating to teach and supervise those progression students in freefall. I don't know the logic behind this. It is confusing... and yes off subject. Sorry. Kim Mills USPA D21696 Tandem I, AFF I and Static Line I

If you know you are already addicted to the sport and want to do AFF why spend your money on two tandems. Jump (pun intended) right into AFF. Kim Mills USPA D21696 Tandem I, AFF I and Static Line I

You'll find lots of us with rotator cuff problems. I had lots of trouble over the last year with my right shoulder. Late last year I got to the point where it hurt (really bad) to track and to pull... I went and got an MRI and have a full tear. I was given several options with one being surgery. I opted for physical therapy and a cortisone injection. That was amazing! I had no pain for about 4 months.... now it is just starting to creep back. Deedy is awesome! Have fun in Deland. It is a great DZ. I would say venture out to ZHills also. Say hi to Normiss (he is awesome too). I am just like you and don't like going to a new DZ alone - it can be intimidating. But TK and the folks at ZHills are very warm and welcoming to visitors. Darling if I only had the time to tell you what I did for that POS. Of the 10 or so girls I've gone out with over the past 4 months, some just coffee, most want to know why and how a guy can get divorced and not lose a thing so they ask about my x. And I tell them the story, which I just don't have time to do here. And to a T each and every one of them has 1) Given me an alternate phone number incase their cell is off..... 2) Asked if I was free for a second date...hell one even put me down up to date three....that was fun...I like date #3 3) Have said "Wow, she's a moron." Look I don't know darling, I just don't' know. I never wanted to get divorced, up until 6 months ago I saw myself growing old with my x and having a good life. The divorce not only shocked me, but our friends and our family (mine and hers). Ever have a motorcycle accident? It's a lot like that. My ex and I divorced and he did not lose a thing either. It was all very civil and friendly. Why? Because we didn't have anger and resentment issues. We have no ill feeling and need for "revenge". We love our children and will do our best to co-parent showing that we respect each other even though we have both moved on. I didn't even think about dating for a year or more after we split up. Take some time to heal and recover. These women you have dated are hearing a one sided story... of course they are sympathetic... but what does that have to do with your ex not giving a crap about who you are with...
