I am pumped about this weekend. Friday I am driving down to Louisville and meeting some friends there to pick up our race packets for the Kentucky Derby Mini Marathon. Saturday morning I will be running the mini... well running most of it since my training has been lax lately. After the Mini we are heading to Churchill Downs for opening day. Bet on a few horses. Getting back into skydiving after a break

Between April 1997 and May 2000 I made about 350 jumps. Then I stopped due to my first child and then second child and devoted myself to being a mom (I couldn't justify going to the dz on weekends while I worked all week - weekends were family time). Then I got divorced and found myself with every other weekend bored to death so in September of 2007 I got back in the air without hesitation. I actually did a 3 way with two close friends of mine - one of which was an AFF instructor - the other with thousands of jumps. We spent time on the ground reviewing emergency procedures and made an absolutely amazing jump. It was like I hadn't been out of the air for 7 years. Since then I have made almost another 100 jumps and don't see myself ever leaving the sport again. We all act like jerks to our SO at some point in time or another. Depending on what you did she will probably need some time to cool off. In the meantime write her a letter (not an e-mail or text) and let her know you are truly sorry and what you are willing to do to fix it. Some things are harder to repair than others such as trust. But if you are willing and committed I believe anything is possible - as long as she is willing to give you a chance. If she refuses to... just give her some space - it may just take some time for her to come around. : 7 : 0 We put on a coach course this weekend and I was an evaluator.
