The destruction of building #7 was just in case nobody noticed there were two skyscrapers missing from the New York skyline that morning. Screw that. I never saw a union worth paying anything to, let alone while unemployed. 55 an hr while working. I'll keep paying. You are incapable of earning that without a union? As Bill, myself, and other continually tell you: Your questions have been answered in depth many times over. Do not expect us to repeat because you fail to comprehend. You ask for an explanation, you get one. You don't understand "engineer speak", call it gobbledegook, and want it explained in layman's terms. You get an answer in layman's terms and you accuse the writer of dodging the question because he did not provide enough detail. Why do I keep bringing up the towers? Because you have never provided answers to question we have posed and their collapse is permantly linked to building 7 because their debris mortally wounded it. Can you calculate moment of inertia, radius of gyration, eccentricity, stress, moment, load factor, critical load, etc. even for a simple column? What about a column of changing cross section such as used in most buildings? Can you calculate what happens to all of these when it is subject to heating and it's supporting members are weakened or removed? These are all things a second or, at the most, third year engineering student can do in his/her sleep. Answering that question would be speculating, speculating leads you down the wrong path. Lets stick to simple physics, that we as skydivers, should clearly understand. Things (anything) cannot freefall unless they have very little resistance! that is all! Hell, all you do is speculate.....you clearly don't understand even basic physics.....and neither the towers nor building #7 fell at freefall speed for any significant length of time. W-H-A-T _ P-A-R-T _ O-F _ T-H-A-T _ D-O _ Y-O-U _ N-O-T _ U-N-D-E-R-S-T-A-N-D ? they did fall too fast, free fall is too fast. Nist admits free fall of at least building 7, you are supposed to be an engineer, and you believe that it is OK for a steel framed building to fall at free fall speed. some engineer! You have already asked me about that and I have replied. I must not have told you what you wanted to hear because you have forgotten it. I doubt that you have even read the report. Try reading it and making up your own mind instead of just parroting what the truthers tell you. I have asked you many times why the debris from the top of the towers hit the ground long before the towers finished collapsing at what YOU call free-fall speed. Why won't you explain this? It fits right in with your latest trend. I have been driving for over 30 years and have never had an accident. Does that mean I am wasting my money buying insurance? I could buy one heck of a nice car with the money I've paid in premiums over the years. A few hundred for a quality firearm that may, even if the chance is 1,000,000/1, just may save my life is a small fee in comparison. "Lay in wait" was quoted from the article. Let's assume there is a 50/50 chance the article is correct. In one case, there is absolutely NOTHING her being armed would have done to prevent her being shot. In the other case, there is a chance she might have prevented it. It's absolutely not a good argument for being armed. Like I said previously, it's a much better argument for stricter gun control on those with restraining orders against them. WTF??? The man broke several laws including violating a anti-harassment order, laws against assault and murder, etc. To think he would have obeyed a law prohibiting him from possessing a firearm is naivety at it's greatest. You've missed the point. It would enable the police to arrest a person like him if they found one in their possession. It would give the police another tool to use to stop people like that. I think we all agree there is nothing to stop the person once they "lay in wait", the point is to stop them before they can do that. Was this man stopped for any reason that would have given the police the legal chance to search him? I agree that once a person sets their mind to do harm to another, there is little or nothing that can be done to stop them. Thus, it is up to each of us to protect ourselves. For some that means carrying a gun. 100% of unarmed people cannot defend themselves with a gun. 100% of those who carry a firearm have a chance. Individual situations determine what that chance will be. Doing what? If there is no work for them to have a job what will there be for them to do for 2 hours? keying cars and flattening the tires of the non-union unemployed scabs. Let me get this straight.... If a member of the Unemployed Workers Union (UWU, or U^4) is hired by a company, and another person at that same company is laid off, the newly laid off worker is a scab until he joins UWU ? I'm confused. HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.

I like my Springfield Armory GI 45. Bare bones basic, not target accuracy but very adequate for a carry gun, and it will reliably feed and fire anything that you can put into the mag short of rocks and crayons. Perfect! And congrats to the Canadian men's team for one hell of a game! I think that was the best hockey game I have ever watched, even though my team got beat. At my local range they banned a customer until he went through a firearm safety course..again...after his first shot at the range since getting his concealed carry permit. Why? It may have something to do with the fact that his first round took out the light above the shooting table. RO said it caused quite the stir around the range. He said one guy found the bullet by his feet, another found a wet spot in his drawers, and two found Jesus! It's what Mark Donahue used to call "The Unfair Advantage". Great book BTW. It refers to something that is completely within the rules, gives you an advantage, and nobody else is using for whatever reason. In this case you had a superior weapon, a steady hand, and a crisp eye. Good job! Grips look great.

Really? Show of hands, folks - Who else (besides Lucky) thinks "Is Satan calling Dick home?" a treatise on what mnealtx thinks of the healthcare debate? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? No, this was about your compassion, as illustrated by the threads you referenced, remember? I just wanted to see if you have as much compassion for the living as you do the dead, that's it - continue with your misdirection. No, this is YOU trying to make it about my compassion so you don't look like such an asshole. Now that we have that straight, feel free to continue with the desperate attempts to make yourself look better. WOW, Mikey must be pissed, he never PA's! So all these threads YOU posted weren't attempt to show what a great, compassionate guy you are? I saw something last week about gallbladder surgery, but was unaware of his passing until today. RIP, Mr Murtha. Breaking news - succumbed to cancer. While I didn't like the man, nor agreed with his political views, I hope his passing was as fast and painless as possible given his condition. *from live newcast* While I don't care for the man or his political views, I wish him a full and speedy recovery. I guess I'm just 'right wing trash'. Compared to the alternate, I'll wear that label proudly. ___________________________________ OK, now tell us, since we know you are a compassionate guy to the dead, how you feel about the living who can't afford the basics while some people are so filthy rich that their money is score. I am going to go out on a limb here and suggest that you may be a lot happier living in a country where the government tells you what work to do, gives you what they think you need, and nobody has more than anyone else. Luckily for you there are still a few places like that. And my offer to help you move is still open. That shouldn't take much effort. First rule of holes: When you realize you're in one...STOP DIGGING. Very true. But nobody says we can't hand him a bigger shovel.

Okay... Federal huh? Are you suggesting they imported intoxicating liquors for a commercial purpose without involving the provincial board? And BC is a province, so I'm not sure how territorial laws were violated. Consumption laws were violated. Consumption laws are: Territorial, federal or provincial. If they were then the authorities have chosen not to make an issue of it. Sorry that you are disappointed.
