*This isn't meant as a direct response to anyone.* Sometimes the parents can be the problem. Non-supervision or over-reacting when someone dares to tell their child no, that behavior is unacceptable in this setting (when the parents are not covering this issue themselves). I once witnessed a father confront a skydiver who had asked a 6 year old child not to talk to adults that way when the kid was spouting off his mouth in an innapropriate manner. The parents weren't within eyesight, and the children were roaming around unsupervised when the beer light was on. That exchange ended with the father going after the guy with a shovel. Now I wonder how that guys kids are going to turn out? Everyone has a responsibility to control themselves, around children or not. Parents have a responsibility to control their kids (and themselves). Get those things in check, and it's all good for everyone. I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. So last weekend I stepped in some right in front of the hangar and tracked it all over the packing mat before I realized it was there. *#%$*! Come on, guys. Oh, and sorry to anyone that had to pack next to a turd smudge in the mat. I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. Thanks for all your support! *bows* SCS #8251

That's a great deal! Like Michelle said it's nice to see the fun jumpers get some perks every now and then. I like night jumps at SDA better than most places. They are very safety conscious and the LZ is easy to find. Not to mention the last time I did one there someone handed me a Taco Bell Burrito and a 40 as soon as I landed. Oh, and I saw boobies in the plane You guys have fun! I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. Thanks for all your support! *bows* SCS #8251

Have you ever spat under canopy?
Sletzer replied to KermieCorleone's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
That's disgusting, but I guess you did the best you could with the situation. I've managed to spit on my shoulders quite a few times. Gotto get it all coagulated in the mouth, then give it a good umph on the way out. Try pissing under canopy, that woud be interesting. (I'm fairly certain someone on here said they did that in free fall = Brilliant) I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. Thanks for all your support! *bows* SCS #8251 -
If it is your latest ex, without exception, one of you is more emotionally attached then the other. That's how most realationships work, or at least that's how they end. If that's passed already, frequent hookups will create it between you again. While it is fun, it IS NOT a good idea! With previous exes, it is more doable, but one of you will probably end up more emotionally involved at some point. In other words: Hump at your own risk. I tried it too, for both of the same reasons. (Thanks UPT!) Very quick reserve full deployment. Reserve completely inflated by the time I had the reserve cord halfway out. It's very fast. It's so fast, that a concern I heard mentioned is that people will use this as an excuse to lower their decision altitude while relying on the technology to fully open their reserve in time. (Pushing technology) That being said, I am seriously considering purchasing my next rig Skyhook equipped. If you get a chance to try their skyhook cutaway rig, DO IT! Then you can decide for yourself. I think an experience with the system, and it sells itself. Meeting Bill Booth was cool Nice to see you again Marion. It actually was quite turbulent. (They were taking loads up in holes between icy rainclouds periodically that weekend. Certainly not the best weather.) I just remember people on the plane shaking their heads when it kept going off. I didn't take that possiblity into considertaion. Thanks for making me aware of a potential cause. Those videos shown by Bill Booth were cool, and his stories were even cooler! Gave me some serious insight to the olden days. Missed the Pitts and Casa, but you can't help when parts break on aircraft. Next time I'm staying in a RV- my GOD it was hotttttt! It was great to meet everyone. I had a good time.

I hate to say it but I laughed when I heard your story. I know it's not funny when shit like that happens, but I just had this mental image. Seriously though, that sucks! I landed in a field this weekend and was gathering up my canopy when it started catching on the ground. I flopped it in the air and continued to gather it up. It wasn't until afterwards that I saw .... little cacti on the ground. I had no idea there were cactus in North Carolina, WTF?! I was very fortunate it didn't tear my canopy. In real life Chuck is an accomplished martial artist. In movie terms, Rambo would simply stab or shoot Chuck. Remember, Rambo "can eat things that would make a billy goat puke." Not sure how that applies, but I like the quote. Wow, I'm glad I took the time to reply to this post.... I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. Casas are the same way with the lines that say "X number of people past this line." I do agree with what was stated earlier that with newer jumpers (myself included), the more experienced people sometimes need to remind the divers to stay towards the front of the plane. That being said, if the floaters feel the plane start to stall, they should just let go. On a side note, last time I was in a PAC, the stall warning went off probably 7 times while climbing because the pilot was apparently in a hurry and climbing too steeply. Our 8 way sure didn't dick around in the door once at altitude, and someone brought it up with the pilot afterwords. I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. I just got a hellified cold so I might look like shit, but I'll be there jumping Thursday come hell or high water! Good thing I already have a tube in my ear, don't have to worry about the head congestion. Bah, that NC fresh air at 14k should clear everything up anyways. Can't wait to get there!
