I respect your skepicism, and I don't follow all this crap religiously, but when viewing the collapses, all I see is the floors above the impact falling...it's not until the weight of the top floors collapsing on the sub-impact levels they they begin to fall. I think part of the problem is thinking that we the American people are actually in control. What control do we actually have when "we" consists of Lucky and Rushmc? In all reality, it's us against them...A nation divide cannot stand. I tend to agree...however, after thinking about all this pyro lunacy, there may be some exceptions on a personal level. Say this Jones guy had some muslim converts in his church as he claims...he also claims to provide food and shelter...maybe even money for ex-muslim women. Now if these muslim women or any former muslim felt a personal need to burn the Koran, I would definately support it because it's a personal thing, not meant to obtain publicity or incite anger, even if the end resulted in such things. To me, it's a matter of the heart. It's not to uncommon for some Christians to make a list of all their shortcommings and burn it as a symbol of moving on and away from that lifestyle. Some Christians burn their pornography collections. I once dated an athiest and found some risque photos of her...a little while later, i saw her outside weeping as she burned them. Did anyone see the movie, "The Book of Eli" starring Denzel Washington? The Bible and the Quran are just printed books. For the Christian, the Holy Bible provides instruction on how to increase and strengthen his relationship with God. The Muslim worships symbols of his faith and the Quran is no doubt the most meaningful. There certainly does seem to be a fine line between bibliology and bibliolatry. I think you're gonna have a hard time twisting this text to mean that not burnng the Koran is in fact Idolatrous and if we don't, we are arousing our Lord to anger. For example, his website lists why they will not feel responsible for any violence: To me, this just wreaks of irresponsibility. It seems they are basically trying to incite violence among muslims to expose it as a violent religion. Futhermore, The website says that it is trying to get people to ask hard questions...two of these questions are listed as follows: In these two questions they practically admit it's the wrong way. I'd basically answer it by saying that the only message that needs to get out is that of the Gospel...it is done by teaching an understanding of the principles found within, and if you can't accept that, that lack of faith wasn't caused by me, your unbelief has just been exposed.
