Then it becomes a question of whether or not it's ethical to take advantage of those desperate enough to work at the lowest wage possible. For those capitalists with a foresight beyond the horizon viewed from their yacht, it becomes not only a question of ethics, but a question of consistency, sustainability and perhaps even social responsibility from which they'll ultimately benefit. Not necessarily... Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

They typically do after they lose their job. I don't disagree with your points. I guess my question is how do you determine what the employees are worth? Is it by how much profit they bring to the company or is it through more tangible factors like how much it would cost for a machine to flip burgers? Ya, about 80% A typical franchise will bring in about a $500,000 profit. $10 bucks an hour could cut that almost in half. $15 bucks an hour would defeat the purpose. Neither is practical... I think they'd be better off managing their employees/schedules more appropriately, as I stated in my previous post. Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

From OP's Article: I think Ronald could solve his low pay and benefits issue by addressing his erratic scheduling problem. Part time employees are working about 10-25 hours a week. One day they might work mornings and the next day they work midnights. One day they might work 3 hours and the next day they might work 10 hours. I think it might help if they give their employees 35-40 hours/wk with a consistent shift. This may not help the unemployment problem in this country but at least McDonald employees would be happier and less likely to strike/protest. I haven't heard first hand about any problems with violation of rights, but I have heard problems with how managers treat their employees. Specifically how female managers treat female workers. There seems to be a cattiness between them along with managers using shame and ridicule in an attempt to boost productivity. I hear a lot, but one story that stuck in my mind was how this old woman got frustrated and threatened to quit. The Manager told her that she "was a 55 year-old woman with absolutely no skills, who the hell is gonna hire you?" This woman went to the new supermarket in town at lunch and told the owner the story. He told her to go back and tell your manager you found a new job and quit... So again, if they find better shift managers qualified for the position, perhaps the employees will be happier and less likely to throw a fit. Another point...If a company is making ridiculous profits and not paying their employees accordingly, why should the government have to offset the companies greediness with housing supplements and food assistance programs? Started watching it yesterday. Unfortunately, I only had a few hours of sleep and dozed off for a bit, but good stuff so far. While I was sleeping, the documentary was influencing my dreams - I was under investigation by the NSA and the guy that played Max Headroom wanted to confiscated my Comcast digital set-top box/DVR. It was upsetting...Comcast doesn't give you the option to buy the box. So now I have no TV because analog is obsolete and Comcast continues to extort me for $10.99/mth for the DVR...for life! Anyway, I think reports like this can possibly bring the country together rather than bickering ad nauseum about the same 3-4 issues that continue to divide/distract us... This whole thing is just ridiculous...History has shown us that sports are about being good. If they weren't, people like Jackie Robinson (42) never would've been given the chance to pave the way. (42 - Great movie btw...my personal top 10) ...and let's not forget the original limp-wristed athlete, Glenn "batty boy" Burke. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glenn_Burke Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

Well, apparently you do...I don't have to know you. Sounds like something Shaq would say while apologizing for deliberately humiliating a physically handicapped fan...and then everything is ok, and nobody in this cuntry cares, because you know...he's popular. Well, this is me if you can relate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nppJyBUtb5o I guess I'm just trying to grow up now... Thirty was so strange for me. If you can't talk to another man face to face for an hour, look him in the eye and give him a job without having to rummage through his bodily excrement, then maybe you shouldn't hire the guy... I dunno...it's just weird to me. firm Or just perhaps, a firm handshake and hours spent staring into another mans eyes will get you nothing more than the shallow and comical promises of a substance abuser, who couldn't put together 30 days of clean time if his life depended upon it. I don't discriminate against functioning addicts. Would it be right to throw you to the curb just because you drink? Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are... -

I stopped reading right there... Jk...Would it be more efficient for everyone to have their own windmill like some people up here in northern michigan? Perhaps even have it partially subsidized? Well, Mark...what was it about my post that you found to be untruthful? Was it the part where I pointed out the absurdity of comparing the NBA to slavery? Please try to articulate your thoughts with more than a single word and acrimonious abbreviations, because I have no idea wtf your problem is... I am inclined to believe it was to protect monetary interests. players had made noises they would possibly not play, or delay playing. Sponsors were possibly looking at cancelling contracts with the NBA if this wasn't handled to their satisfaction. Views of an owner making money of a sport, which is predominantly black, conjures up thoughts of plantation owners. The optics are different from Shaq making stupid comments. That doesn't make it right, it does explain why you cannot compare the two. Yet you compare slavery to the NBA? If Fredrick Douglas only had to work every other day for 8 months out of the year for a 100 million dollar contract you still wouldn't have made your case... This isn't about Sterling, Shaq, the NBA nor Shaq's advertisers...I'm sorry you missed the point - just like the rest of this cuntry... Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are... -

Do you really think police are to protect and serve?
Coreece replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
Why does it matter to you??? You keep promoting the virtue of Christianity and how everyone else falls short. Where do you fall? Do you think you're the only one that has something against their brother/sister? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. -Then- Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. but you still can't answer the question...are you a sister or not? If not, your words are just resounding gong...
