    Here in this part of Florida we have all kinds of rain. Heavy Heavy, Heavy, Moderate, Light, Drizzle, and mist. Sometimes even hail and snow. But our best kind is liquid sunshine.

    Discuss your cross wind technique with your instructor and maybe just do some landings when the winds are nil to build confidence. Also, an hour or two under the hood can be exhausting leading you to be less than par on your landings.

    I had just the opposite tendency. After shoulder surgery and rehab I started to jump again but my shoulder was still stiff. Had a couple times I couldn't reach pud on first try. Found if I dearched some it was easier to reach pud. When I had pud in hand then I would arch hard and then pitch. Shoulder is normal now. Just goes to show everybody is a little bit different.

    The way I read the Sidney story, some of the jumpers did not have the required Australian ratings/licenses to be jumping with that size of group and the organizer knew that fact but still let them on the jump.

    Don't think the "gun free zone" thing matters in this situation. Guy got the drop on man & woman. Could have happened off base anywhere. Two county deputies were killed here, while trying to serve a protection order, at a local gun range. The guy just got the drop on them.
