    Bull crap. Get a Gammo air rifle from Walmart and use that. They are virtualy silent and being a SrA in the AF I know they aren't illegal on base (unless you live in the dorms). I wouldnt parade outside with it though. The SP's might not like that so much. Muff #5048

    Instructor said I did a perfect level 4 this weekend. It included exit, coa, 1 prcp, 2 toe taps, then he let go of me and just let me fall on my own to check for stability (which the tunnel has given me), then I pulled! All in all not a bad jump, but I must say I dont like being a "dirt lure" when I land. I have got to figure out this "flaring" thing they talk so much about. Muff #5048

    At my DZ (Skydive Ogden) cost: Tandem-1: 170 Tandem-2: 160 AFF-3 (includes 1 yr USPA member):250 AFF-4: 175 AFF-5: 175 AFF-6: 175 AFF-7: 175 All in all that would be a grand total of $1280 (providing you don't fail levels) so yes that seems way friggin expensive. Muff #5048

    Not at our DZ at least. I'm sure there are a blue-million different ways you could do it (and as long as you land safely you must have done it right), but for us it was look, grab, pull respectively for both handles. Muff #5048

    I have found it easier to just do a little pre-emptive Knee capping. First time I meet ANY "Boy" that is hanging around my daughter, I kick them in the Knee cap. Once they get up and ask why I did that, I tell them "it was for Thinking about it." When they ask “Thinking about what?”, I Just look at them and kick the other Kneecap. They usually dont hang around much after that for some strange reason. Thats not "kneecapping".     Thanks for all the replies everyone. It was 1 on 1 instruction due to there not being any other costomers there at the time. My instructor did do one thing where he pretty much had me lay on the floor of the tunnel and use just enough wind to get me *light*. That helped out a lot now I can do turns and controll my foward to back movement. The problem is once I get in the air my front to back slides, while controlled, are pretty major (thank God for helmets ). Oh and my profile is very much up to date. Yes I'm new to this stuff.
