  7. I've done about 16min in the tunnel so far and the only huge difference is your point of reference. In the sky your pretty much relying on things like other people (not a fixed POR) and the horizon. In the tunnel you have the walls as a POR. In our tunnel here there isnt much room so if your not perfectly stable then you will go into a wall one way or another. This does help with AFF (at least it did with mine) only providing that you actually can get stable in the tunnel. If you can get in the tunnel and just stay stable (no backsliding, unintentional turning, fliping, etc) then the whole AFF is easy-cheezy or at least it was for me. Muff #5048
  8. Worlds fastest recorded skydive. - The fastest recorded skydive was by Joseph Kittinger, a former US air force pilot, who hit a peak velocity of 614mph after jumping from a helium balloon in 1960. Starting from an altitude of 102,800ft, he was in freefall for 4min 36sec. Heres the website: http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/driving/features/article1622289.ece Muff #5048
  9. Fuck cutting off their hands. I think a test jump trying to land a wingsuit without a rig is more appropriate Or you could "stab them in the face with a soldering iron". Muff #5048

  15. I know how you feel. I was diving on base a couple of weekends ago and got pulled over by a SP. He came up and asked for my license, military ID card, registration, and proof of insurance. He then proceeded to tell me he pulled me over for doing 42 in a 30. I told him that according to my speedometer I was doing 33 maybe 34 at which time he gives me back all my papers and says the real reason he pulled me over was that according to my tags I didn’t have insurance on the car. What I’d like to know is how he ran the numbers that fast (he was in the opposite lane when he whipped a u-turn and got me). I attribute it to a dumbass being bored on a Saturday. Oh and when he asked me where I was going and I told him the dropzone he acted like I was on drugs or something. Muff #5048

  21. Because my instructors have thousands of jumps. I have 6. Chances are they know far more than me. Instructor communication=(usually) Safe skydives. Also "anyone" online can "claim" to be an instructor. I know what your thinking...Its hard to fake a license number, but it isnt hard to copy one out of someones log book into your own profile. Point is you know who your instructors are you see them face to face and they usually provide quality input when it comes to your safety and the safety of others. Muff #5048
