That's it Twardo Marry a pilot and see the world Now that we can have domestic partners in my state. I'm going to go trolling for a pilot. There are lot more dudes than female pilots, and I got this splitting headach. Especiallu when my boss finds out R.

Thanks for the link to the Duck and cover video. I wonder where they found all those neat looking old cars to make the movie. Watching the kids in the movie ask the adults for help, and a old man puts his arm around a young girl and leads her into a bldg. My Mom warned me about those people, especially if the had candy R. I had to google the hollerith card thing, My boss used to have a couple of jobs punching the little squares in them cards by hand with a little hammer and punch. A friend took us to a party overlooking central park and the hostess asks my boos what she does for a living. "Keypunch opererator" and they all moved away Thats way newer than a hand crank starter on a car , etc. I hope your a young person and live a long life so you can pay for my boss's SS fund. and my medicare. Thank you lord for google No sweat one of these days "remember google"? I learned a new word today

There were clusters of very experienced jumpers in lots of places "almost back in the day". Raeford comes to mind, I was suprised to learn about the long history of jumping and talent in the seattle area once I mover there. We knew people like Jim Captain and Matt Farmer that moved from Desto Ks to the Gulch to follow their dream. FWIW I don't like to use the term skygod but thats just me. Saw my first "skygod" around 1975 Quit the sport for 10 yr's after that. When I came back in 1985 those people were still around. I renamed them "Skysnobs" and kept my distance. There's only one person that I've met and would call a skygod That Mr Jay Stokes. No attitude a real jumpers jumper. R One Jump Wonder

Hi Steve No big deal but, crew chiefs didn't fly we were called loadmasters, Oh hell, I knew it was something like that. Some days I forget my own name.....I used to look at loadmasters and ask myself why I didn't join that branch. They sure looked a lot happier than the grunts I hung out with.... Hi Steve I think the branch of service we went into had something to do with where we grew up. You came from Montana, went beaver traping, hunting with guns, all that stuff. OTOH some of us grew up in the concrete jungle, never touched a gun, or walked on grass or even saw a 4 legged beaver. Everyone we knew worked behind a desk or carried a lunch box. The air force or navy was a no brainer for most of us poor folks that needed to dodge the draft. Time to take a nap R. One Jump Wonder

Sorry steve were getting so old that we ca't even remember the scary stories ay ore or we've already told them. Now there's a whole new set of stupid stories. People that can't land a perfectly good parachute. Select a canopy thats to small, and don't know their gear. "Who says skydivers are stupid? We invented a whole new way to kill ourselves" 1985 Used to be a joke at first but it's still happening. Thats scary!!! R Take the DB!!!!

It happens more often than you think. Silos storeing wheat, corn, beans, suger, you name it someone has been hurt really bad in those vessels. More than once, by falling in, or being caught in the bottom cleaning out the old stuff and someone starts refilling the silo Then someone turns up missing Farming and the related industries can all be dangerous. The 3 week rule is challenge but if the books not on hold for the next person we can just email the library and roll it over for another 3 weeks
-
My boss does the same thing except she can check out the Ebooks from the library on line, consumer reports etc from home. I stop buy and check out a handful of mags (except the current edition) like fine woodworking. cosmpolitian, good house keeping, fine cooking etc etc. Going to the library has changed a lot. We can checkout our own books with a bar code reader, the books in stock are listed on computer terminals, computer's are available for surfing the net What happened to all those dewey cards in those nice oak drawers? I conside the library to be a valuable resource, especially if you can't afford a computer or hi speed internet. R.

LIES, the booze bill WAS paid. No laws were broken and no charges laid. "The Sun" is a total Rag of a newspaper. /reply] I was wondering about that rag. It reminds me of one of our goofball Papers. Like The National Enquirer I can't really call it a News paper. The food stores sell it by the checkout stand. Gotta have a eye gradbbing headline like "Man gives birth to baby" or the "I spent a week on a space ship" OTOH the readers remarks following the story in the Sun were One Jump Wonder

You haven't spent much time on the front range in or around Boulder have you.... Other wise you would know this is another "cause" to keep these types busy and give meaning to their life, sooner or later they'll be bitching about something else. Ladies and Gentlemen Take a chill pill and lets stop makeing this a them vs us thing. Thats almost like a personnel atack. IMO The reason it bothers them so much is because they ccan hear the airplanes flying 24/7/365. Even if they go to florida it's those airplanes. Can't you hear them??? On a happy note I see a solution to this situation
