Hi,firstly i would recommend you stay clear of the cossfire. Reason i say this[please note i'm trying to read between the lines here!] is that you say I have also jumped a Safire II 149, which i found had a very shallow glide angle... I overshot the PLA compared to my EXE - although, it was _only_ 1 jump ;o)*** So i suspect your canopy control could be better. Though the Safire & the Sabre,i believe are very good choices though not at 1.4+, i would recommend that you keep your exe as i think you'll find that in time you can get alot more from this canopy[i leant to swoop using an older variant called a ZP150 also made by Chute Shop SA] Also have a chat with Andy Ford as i'm sure he'll could advise you better than any of us DZ commers as i know he's based at Weston. Also, if you havn't done so already, attend one of Chris Lynch's canopy control seminars as you'll find his advise invaluable. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Bit of a hard question for me to answer in words, but here goes anyway! Basically, when say fly you canopy on full drive, keeping the same heading you may or maynot notice a point on the ground ahead of you that dosn't move. Once you discover this point, you'll find you can move it[change its location]with left or right toggle inputs, eventually you'll be able to move this point to your desired target and that point is where you're going to land! I sincerely hope this helps.. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

I'm sure it's already been said, but a typical questions posed by "Randoms" is ,What canopy/size do you jump as if it matters. Problem is alot of skydivers seem to think is does and would rather answer "that" question with "pocket rocket rather than sky barge, but i will always maintain that you'll look a lot "cooler"under a canopy that you can fly and fly well than one that you can't. That said,it has to be asked what type of canopy flight do you enjoy. Point being that not every HP canopy pilot swoops or even intends to "swoop" but they simply enjoy the type of flight that their HP canopy delivers.i.e.response to toggle input for example. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

They did not even tell my Mother what was going on. They told my mom i wasn't going to make the night at the time of my accident,28years later. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER. -
So give it to someone who really can't afford one and allow them to use it.*** Smooth move!I was thinking of doing that with my old COE-D170 thats been in my closet for the last 3years...Conned out of £300 as a student and i wouldn't sell to anyone as i don't think they'd thank me for it as the flare is non existent and landing it is a black art.. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

You're not going to starve.Suffer some weightloss maybe but not starve as survival instinct kicks in well before that.[It's amazing what you can do when you need to] Don't limit yourself to just one sort of employment.i.e.Explore different avenues...and diverse ones at that. And always remain positive and upbeat[don't let the bastards get you down]U2. Plus in my [believe me]extensive experience of unemployment the summer is the best time due to the lack of winter blues........If you truly believe your in it for the long term, study the social security system and abuse it[i mean make it work in your favour] Oh and here's a thought.Could try looking at the packing mat at least that way you could continue jumping plus earn a bit of extra cash in the mean time. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

I have a few friends that jump Wings containers with sufficiently larger canopies than 120's.well 170's to be precise and they look good IMO .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Yup! In need of some serious therapy! Personally i'm a bit dry at the moment,no alchohol,no drugs not even an aspirin in the house plus i start work tomorrow, which is bad news when you're a work avoidance system/job dodger so i'm trying to take my mind off of things by posting here. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Know exactly what you mean.I've been job dodging for the last 3 months and was hoping to make it 4 months, but my best laid plans have just turned to ratshit as i've succummed to the lure of hard currency and as a result i've got to set my alarm clock for 5.30am.I mean for f*!ks sake,i didn't even apply for this job or any other job for that matter and have just fallen victim to a headhunter. Still i'm looking on the bright side. The money is going to fund a little expo to Italy[skydive Ravenna] in September. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

I seem to be doing a pretty good job at not working i.e.Job dodging/work avoidance and still managing to have a life which includes jumping however, i would like to add that this is non substainable and come the end of the summer i will hopefully return to aplace of work where i will continue to job dodge and avoid all forms of work but get paid as well so that i can continue the proceess next summer.......... .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

I start with double front risers on the downwind leg of my final approach, slowly releasing either one of the risers(depending on left or right turn to final)to produce a long carving 180 turn to landing. I find carving approaches work well for building up speed for my swoop as opposed to hard/snap riser turns. My canopy is crossfire2. It's all about building up speed to increase the length of swoop. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

How Long Did It Take For Your "A"?
trigger replied to Fireflyer's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I don't know about the American system, but it took me the best part of a year to get my 'A' license here in the sunny UK.8 levels AFF,10 consols & a qualifying jump. In my defence,at times, due to weather,i had up to a two month wait between AFF levels which isn't ideal and no repeats until level five (took me five attempts to crack that one.The irony of it all)and no repeats after level five. Be patient,it's all good!!!!!!!! .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
