  2. QuoteJust taking a poll for my friend, next week "Are Tie Die Shirts with the saying "Why would anyone jump out of a ......." makes you look like a dork. Kev *** Not as dorky as "Plan B" on your cutaway pillow. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver

Quoteyes i understand that, it won't help me get to the toilet without stubbing my toe though. i'm not sure about this kind of thing, how does it help anything? *** It's mostly a meaningless gesture used by some to make themselves feel superior to us carbon hogs. If they really wanted to make a difference, they'd take themselves off the grid for good. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  9. Piestawa(sp?) Peak, Squaw Peak to the locals, is a nice hike that will make you work, Steep in places, but not too long. Many people will hike this before work, or on thier lunch break. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  10. Last year my son developed a condtion called intasuseption, it is where the bowel sort of collapses on itself, kind of like a folding telescope. The treatment was to give him an enema, but under pressure to re-expand the colon. Held him down and watched the whole thing under the flouroscope, he screamed like a monkey. We had to stay overnight for observation in case it recurred, sure enough, that night it did. I can tell you one thing for certain, I never really knew what angry was till I was holding my 3 yr old boy down for his 2nd enema. He screamed and kicked and called those docs and technicians every nasty thing he could think of, but also "I want my Daddy". I hope he never sees any of them on the street. 11. I get depressed every time I jump on dives that Larry organizes, but it's probably not the same thing. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  12. QuoteSo... Next time you see a guy walking with a dresser full of clothes on the plane, feel free to swing by and say hi to me. ***Feel free to make your problems everyone elses. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  13. I have to travel alot with my job. The single most annoying thing about it, aside from TSA hassles are people carrying oversized "carry ons" on the plane that take forever to jam into the overhead. Relax, take a checked bag and a sensibly packed carry on, everyone will be happier, and you'll have enough stuff. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver

  18. Quote know what you mean when you say there are not enough chicks! I met my wife of 23 years on the DZ. Our 18 year old daughter just started jumping. She is a college freshman. So, you young guys; she does not have a boyfriend. I know she really has the hot’s for one of the instructors at our home DZ, I won’t say who. Check out her photo wearing her mother’s jumpsuit. ***Never, I repeat, Never allow your daughter to date a skydiver. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver

  20. QuoteHi Amazon I assume this question is for me? The answer--it depends. It depends on the currency, competence and confidence of the individual jumper, and it depends on their size and definition of "Big Way". Big difference between wanting to be able to successfully and safely be able to do "fun" 40+ ways at a boogie vs. being one of the team members being selected for the next World Team. Everyone will have different goals, and different answers to your question. As a rule we (P3) ask for participation on a P3 Big Way Camp before a P3 100 way camp--these two events can be done back-to-back and usually (so far at least) have resulted in 100 way completions for the campers. There are minimum requirements to attend the camp. The next step--to receive invitations to larger 100+ sequentials, state, national and world records will depend on the individual jumper. I've seen meteoric advances by some but most take a more conservative route, preferring to do several camps (BWC and 100 camp) to hone their skills and expand their comfort zones. ***...or you could sleep with one of the Captains John Wright World's most beloved skydiver

  22. QuoteI think that v-day is just something that the stores had made up to make money. ***Actually, Valentines day can be traced back to ancient Rome, and I'm pretty sure they didn't have Hallmark stores back then. Now get off your wallets and lose the bitterness. I hear that next year, the government will be subsidizing all Valentines day gifts for those that can't afford them. 23. Outstanding!!! Have you calculated how much money you've saved so far? What are cigs prices like these days? John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  24. 45.00 is cheap! Last year I spent $1500.00 a jump (4) out of a Russian MI-8 Helo in Nha Trang Vietnam. But skydiving Vietnam and shooting machine guns in the jungle at Cu Chi was worth it. *** If you say so. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
