  5. I'll be there ready to rumble. In a good way of course. Talked to TheAnvil last night. He's responsible for the Molson and maybe someone could pick up one o' them bottles of Canadian Wiskey. "Crown" something... Yeah yeah Paul will be taking his seat at the sunset controls this Saturday
  6. ( ( ( ( ((( > ))) ) ) ) )
  7. I like ski poles.. They help me keep my balance Is "Poles" a nick for Polish people? Cause I like those "Poles" too. I like it when chickie's dance around poles. Them's good poles
  8. FYI ~ For anyone that may be going to Vancouver. Natacha (SkyOCiel) and I are on the same flight there and back from the bay area. If someone needs a ride or something PM me and we'll exchange travel plans and what not so we can all meet up.
  9. Yes... Also keep the bottles stored in the dark. Make sure it is dry and cool where you do store them. I can't rememeber the optimum temp but it's around 60 degrees farenheit... Constantly changing temps are no bueno. I think if you produce some sort of alcohol for the first time I think you nix out the owing beer for a first time since you just produced it... Dunno if that made any sense.
  10. Hey Iwan I think that the ash dive will be later in the day on Saturday. I or someone else will post the info when we know more...
  11. Paully's memorial service will be on Thursday, October 16 @ 2:00pm at: Willingdon Church 4812 Willingdon Ave. Burnaby Reception imediately following the service in the Willingdon Church Gym (same address). Refreshments will be provided. There will not be a potluck. There will be an open mic session at the reception. Straight from his web site... Right Here
  12. I have not jumped in 16 days. I think it's the most time away from the DZ for me in over 4 years. I was in Minnesota all weekend for a wedding. I am really starting to like that place more and more. I really find it funny though how they keep calling my San Francisco 49ers gay and their the ones who have the team that dresses in purple And I have been humping quite frequently
  13. I have reserved my tickets to Vancouver. I am flying up Wednesday night and returning to San Fran Friday morning. I will be at Hollister this weekend as well. Cheers... If anyone wants me to say anything on their behalf send me a PM or call me if you know my number.
  14. Yup you kids are cool just got all the info I need. Birth certificate and valid ID will do. So I'm not 100% sure but I may be flying in to BC next Wednesday evening... I will probably leave by Friday but if any of you would like to grab a brew let me know. Cheers...
  15. I know dude... we'll go grab some beers next week when you get back into town and we will talk some mad shit. Well brain storm and think about ways to get the message out.
  16. What about driving? I may be zooming up to Vancouver next week. Not sure if I will fly to Seattly and drive to Vancouver or just fly staright in. I can't find my passport so that's why I was asking... I should be there for a couple days.
  17. Chill bro. We'll get the word out... I'm guilty of lashing out and getting a bit hot headed too. It's not helping anything at the moment... Just chill. Maybe individuals (not gear dealers) who make assinine decisions like selling a Stiletto to someone with 30 jumps should get their ratings and awards yanked...
  18. Do you need a passport if you fly into Canada? How about if you drive into Canada? Cheers, and thanks...
  19. I apologize in advance. I do not articulate well and my serious posts may not make sense. If it doesn't make sense it is no you, it's me... Any jumpmaster, DZO, gear sales store... Should have the common sense to know that skydivers injure or kill themselves under canopy more than any other way. These people should have the commons sense to not sell or recomend someone with less than a month or so in the sport a high performance canopy. Just letting people do what they may is not good business. It will come back to bite you in the ass. You can't have one DZ be conservative and another reckless. You can't have one dealer who sells you anything while another who actually has ethics and considers what they are selling and to who. You can't have jumpmasters or experienced jumpers giving mixed advice. There needs to be some agreement in the middle. Cause if we can not find a way to get our shit together someone else will do it for us. Self regulating or blacklisting sounds better then having some non jumping beurocrat making it mandatory to get a special FAA certificate for stores, DZ's or folks selling used gear through specially approved gear stores... Let's get it together folks. Low time jumpers have no right jumping fast shit... Yeah you can die under anything but you chances are better if you take your time and downsize slowly. And if you can't be patient... You have no choice but to wait till you have the proper jump #'s. We have to try to do it ourselves before non jumpers get involved. And I say "we" that should mean all skydivers. You have your whole life to skydive. What's the hurry?
  20. It would be easy and ideal to have people be responsible for their own decisions and actions. But how can we honestly agree that someone with less than 300 jumps really understands what they are flying? I bet there are folks right now with 300 jumps that disagree with me. They will see. Skydivers are prooving that they can not make good decisions when flying perfectly good canopies. Not everyone, not most jumpers mind you, but enough to warrant some serious review of how we do regulate who jumps what and when. Enough to to warrant making a decision for a lower time jumper that may or may not be unable to make a sound decision on a canopy purchase for him or her self. Enough to possibly punish those who sell canopies to individuals with total disregard to manufaturer recomendations and common sense...

  22. The only good deterant to selling someone a canopy they are not ready for is for the seller to promise that they explain to the parents of said individual why their kid is dead. You think that's overeacting??!! Might make you think twice before recomending someone downsizes before they are ready. ~ Just wait. This sport is going to fuck itself if we don't show we can self regulate. And if people don't fall in line they need to have their right to sell gear yanked. Simple...
  23. Blue ones brother blue ones... I spent the evening last night with his folks Jan and Richard and his adopted aunt Kathryn. Exceptional people, which explains why Paul was who he was. Thank you everyone for sending all your e-mails and love to Paul. These meant a lot to the family. Paul is clocking those eternal freefall hours now... I can't express my extreme sadness in words. I will follow up with a post in the incidents forum when I can. Paul's legacy will live on in others. Good kid. Good family. I wont forget him... Have fun with those sunset controls...
  24. http://www.reximage.com/paul/ I did a few of his AFF jumps. This kid was something special. It's just not fair sometimes. If you know him or met him at Hollsiter or at the Byron boogie send him and his family some good wishes. He really needs some love right now... He was in a bad landing accident at Lodi this past Saturday.
