Africa is giving nothing to anyone -- apart from AIDS
ErricoMalatesta replied to nigel99's topic in Speakers Corner
Japan, Germany and Israel were propped up and developed with billions of US dollars to become clients of the US. That isn't in anyway similar to Africa who are simply left to rot while the raw materials are extracted. The comparrison doesn't even make sense. -

Nature was going to economically enslave a vast majority of regular people and create devastated societies? Amazing. -

Nothing like US aggression and being turned into a beacon of neo-lib policies to show you Africans what hard work can do! Just ignore all the big workers protests and stuff! -

Africa in places has some very disturbing social and cultural things it needs to over come but the author of the article sounds a little 'Africans can't look after themselves' when he uses two or three example countries/regions on a continent so large and attributes it all over. And who censored the word penis? was that really the most offensive aspect? -
Iran Test-Fires 9 Missiles to Show 'Might'
ErricoMalatesta replied to Darius11's topic in Speakers Corner
Aren't you Spanish? Why? are we playing the game 'can't differentiate between the population and the historical actions of the state because of patriotism/nationalism'...? Seems to be a recurring theme around here. No, I'm not Spanish. -

The US were NOT lured into WW1 they willingly went to war AFTER manufacturing the consent of a pacifistic population. Hahahaha. Hahahaha again. Hahaha. Hahaha. Yeah like butchering tens of thousands of Latin Americans. Better leave that out. You were just defending an ally from communism. hahaha. -
What is going to happen to this Country>>>>?
ErricoMalatesta replied to galvar2439's topic in Speakers Corner
Yeah... so you rent yourself to a, kind, master. Lucky. Gee I suppose you expect your nanny state to take care of you???? By the way.. where does YOUR nanny state get all of its money to be able to support the people who "don't enjoy renting themselves for a wage" A nanny state? I think you have unsurprisingly missed the point. -
Iran Test-Fires 9 Missiles to Show 'Might'

The international community dominate the UN? Here I was thinking it was pretty much a shadow of US desires and wants... you know with the decades of vetoing anything they want and passing anything they want. -

You mean a nuclear energy program that is completely legal while you maintain a thousands strong stockpile of illegal weapons and terrorise 2/3 of the planet for several decades? Yeah that sounds completely fair. I agree strongly. -
Iran Test-Fires 9 Missiles to Show 'Might'
ErricoMalatesta replied to Darius11's topic in Speakers Corner
Ok lets examine this. He or she should move to Iran - a fairly repressive society - because he understands how the powerful section of said society will react to external threats of aggression by another state who have previously overthrown the country, previously encouraged them to use nuclear energy and just generally terrorised them. While in more recent years invaded their neighbours to both the left and right, killed hundreds of thousands of people year and last; openly threatened to attack. Yeah ok he hates freedom he is a freedom hater. -
Maybe the climate talks aren't going anywhere because the represented institutions at the event come together to give public rhetoric about solving problems, they themselves, create?

People don't enjoy renting themselves for a wage? Incredible -
Yeah they are great guys - both support Israel beyond what any rational person in the world would and talk about Iran with 'no options off the table' - the threat itself being an international crime let alone adhering to it. Yet all times you have a choice between two halves of US business power. What can be said for choices? Ok one of them might go ahead and attack Iran or the other might attack Pakistan or one might, slightly more than the other, go back to focusing on dominating Central/South America. Is that the society you want to live in? My skepticism is fairly widely shared with almost everyone I know and a lot of Americans I have met so I don't understand why you all (on the internet) still talk about the presidency as if it is serious business that delivers results for the domestic population and, as it tends to dominate us, the global population.
-
haha. It sure must be.
-
Continue with your realisation that they aren't actually choices at all and then grow old and bitter at a world that benefits a select few

Biggest Foreign Policy Challenge For the Next US President
ErricoMalatesta replied to nerdgirl's topic in Speakers Corner
Reading out words he has very little input into the creative writing side of... wait that must be a domestic policy challenge That is a sensible framework of discussion because the US are just naturally allowed to mess with Pakistan. -
Castro isn't a communist he's just a dick and why should the FARC lay down their weapons?

* Colombia is the fifth largest recipient of US aid - If you take out the middle east for obvious reasons Colombia moves up * Narcotics trafficking is pervasive at every level of the Colombian government * By 1999 there was one massacre a day carried out in Colombia by the para-military the direct recipient of US aid * International narco trafficking is estimated at around 4 trillion US dollars * US chemical and biological attacks on Colombian peasants extends back decades ... regardless FARC are the worst element of the Colombian society!

Yeah just ask... Afghanistan, Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Chile, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Korea, Laos, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Surinam, Trinidad & Tobago, Uruguay, Vietnam, Venezuela, etc oh wait... perhaps you don't understand the history of your own country or anything that happened in the 20th century.

Study: 'Magic mushrooms' have long-lasting benefits
ErricoMalatesta replied to Butters's topic in Speakers Corner
Not so sure about that, they can get pretty scary too. An experience with a really strong dose about 12 years ago gave me some profound insights into some marital problems we were having at the time. So you might ask, "Do you really need drugs to realize the obvious ?" It's not that simple. Psychedelics open up the unconcious mind and bring a lot of stuff up into plain view, even laying it out like some kind of 23rd century Mac computer. They can be grossly abused, like any other drug. I haven't used them even once in the 12 years since. But for some people, they are a really valuable tool. For real people too, not just some shaggy hipsters going to their 12,000th Grateful Dead concert. I agree so within the context of all that... can be, a very enjoyable drug. -
Which in itself is a crime.

What the fuck does a dictatorship have to do with left wing ideology? Well I guess we can rule out knowing its history or caring about it. Fairly pious coming from someone who lives in a country that has killed millions
