I was going to ask the same thing.... The rose was for my mom...as I was leaving the store I rolled through the flower section & decided it would be a nice thing to do, without an occasion or reason necessary. The chocolate, now that was her "request", if you will... She was watching the Grammys last night & on 1 of the breaks, sees a crunch bar commercial - all of a sudden, as I'm leaving the house all I hear is: " I want CHOCOLATE!" When I get back, she says, in the most gentle manner: "oh, you remembered" (as though surprised.) OK, I know I'm a guy, but that doesn't mean I forget things all the time... Than again, she has been quoted saying: "if your dick wasn't attached to you, you'd lose that to!" So I go grocery shopping earlier tonight & only had the intension of buying a few items - I.E. juice, milk & some pizza, but somehow I end up with the attached as a the end result... A full cart of - what the hell did I buy anyway?!?! When you go for groceries, do you just get what you need, or is it human nature to do what I did? On a side note, the funniest part of all this is that, in using the stores electric scooter thingy I forgot my crutches, and only realized I didn't have them when I got back to the house go to get out of my car... Sadly, this is not the first time I've forgotten them. But what tops it all is putting them on the ground, getting in my car, forgetting to put them in the car & running them over as I leave my parking spot (also not the first time its happened) So whenever I meet some of you and you notice 1 crutch is more bent/deformed than the other - that's why. If you can't stand, is it possible to pack?!?! I've been looking for a job for MONTHS and am only coming up with diddally squat! I've done it all, sent out resumes everywhere, networked through friends & family, followed [very good] advice (thank you) given here and still nothing... I'm very frustrated at this point and am not sure how much more of this I could take. Figured, the best way to earn some extra cash is to learn how to pack. 1 problem - as most everyone here knows I walk/stand with the aid of forearm crutches; the only way I could stand on my own is if I lean up against something. In going along with what you just said - I will have to say that [in many instances] children are better behaved than adults... I recently had a discussion about this with my best friend - at first, I was puzzled & didn't know what to make of Martin's statement, but as we continued I understood what he was saying. For example, tell a kid "don't play with matches" or "don't touch the stove" etc, etc and odds are that child will listen (most of the time anyway.) Now, switch gears and look at adults - we do exactly the opposite of what we're told... I.E. I can't count how many times I've seen some douche bag smoke a cigarette at the gas pump or smoke in the non smoking section of a restaurant. Not littering is another one - but does anyone care? - no. There's a whole list of things i could pull out What was I not listening to? Click me. I'm still staying consistent, although I could be better at somethings, but ah well - the important thing is I'm doing good. I'm doing good with strengthening my core muscles, but need to now concentrate on flexbility more. I also started working with a personal trainer, and that's been a tremendous help; never underestimate the value of trainers! It helps that he's also a skydiver (what are the chances!
