  1. Ya know, i just mentioned to val earlier today that i wanted to go there. Edited to say...val doesn't wanna go...anyone else wanna go with me? I'm game.
  2. I understand what you're trying to say... You & can have eaten the same thing for lunch, however, taste is a matter of preference - you may of thought it was great & I thought it was horrible, or vise versa. The outcome was different - yes - but the fact remains that the food you & I ate was real; you know you touched & tasted it, just may not of cared for it. The same type of analogy could be illustrated in other ways. For example, I may love to drive Ford Mustangs and listen to Pink Floyd; while you may despise American cars & classic rock as your music genre of chice - nevertheless, all those things are real & effect people in some (albeit different) way(s). It is really no different when discussing things that are spiritual in nature. If we both witness the appearance of a "spirit" I may perceive it as affirmation of my beliefs, while you may perceive it otherwise. You can say: "dude, how could you think that lunch was tasty?" just like you can: "dude, how can you believe in ghosts?" Nevertheless, if we both experience the same thing it must be real. I have some deeper thoughts on this subject, but don't want to send this to speakers corner. PM me, if anything. 3. Just as a believer wants his/her beliefs to be true, so does does the non-believer - desire in both of those beliefs sets the stage for how 2 people can interpret an identical situation differently. However, this still doesn't change the fact that 1 party is correct while the other is not. 4. I've had 1 too many experiences NOT to Believe... I've also spent a lot of time trying to tell myself that these experiences were in fact not real, however, after much thought I concluded that in order to deny what I experienced is to be illogical & irrational. It's funny, some would say that I'm illogical & irrational for believing, however I'm not out to prove anything to anyone - I'm simply sharing... 16. Thanks for the link, Bill, I really appreciate it - will try these out. As for the weight - I don't think I'm lifting too much, only about 20 lbs, which is the norm for me. Also, I only feel odd in the left arm, which is the 1 with the rotator cuff in question, which makes me think that this is specifically linked to the incident from a few months ago & not necessarily too much weight. However, I may very well be wrong. Whatever the cause I just hope it doesn't interfere with jumping. Again, it's only pain from time to time, and at a level I can live with - I don't see it being a problem. I'll let you know how I feel in a few weeks after I do those exercises. . 19. I agree with your statement 100% I will only add that - say - after completing a tandem and showing a considerable level of interest, and than in 1 way or other pursuing the sport - that person at least should not be considered a whuffo. 21. I'll be lucky if I get in the air at all this season (other than doing tandems.) Hopefully, when I go back to the tunnel in July I'll show enough improvement to be cleared for AFF. 24. I still have a full range of motion, and as for the pain - on the days it does hurt it's only maybe a 2 and only at certain points while rotating and/or extending. Dialogue/commentary between Divot, Twardo & myself - "from your first Oshkosh when the three of us were riding to or from one of
  25. Ok, so it has been a few months now since I've injured my arm. For the most part it is no longer a problem, however I've noticed recently that after I do some weight lifting in the gym it'll hurt that day, & will remain for a day or 2 after. It's not really "pain" per say - but just enough to make me remember that it happened. I'm not really concerned (unless I should be...? ) When I went to the doc, he said: "this [shot of cortisone] should take care of it, BUT it can either: A) always hurt a bit, or B) be on-again, off-again kinda' thing." Well, it looks like the latter, & while I can live with this, I just wanted to make sure I don't do anything to somehow make it worse. Do any of you have experience with this kind of injury? - if so, how (if at all) has it effected your jumping? I'm hoping that as I build muscle around the area, the pain will no longer resurface. I'm really pissed, that something as stupid as a fall in the bathroom can be this much of an inconvenience.
