At the WSOP in all Sattellite Tournaments you are paid in $500 Chits that are good for entry into any other WSOP events. You can sell these chits to other players. That is what I did with mine.

Playing Poker.. Yes. Played Two Single Table Satellites while there. $175 and $225 Buy-in. Won the $175 Buy-in for the $1000. Finished 3rd in the $225 but did not get paid. Net was +$600 playing Poker while there. The Craps tables and the Spearmint Rhino took for me for about -$1,200 so the trip was a net Loss but not horrible for 3 days in Vegas.

I am Back home from Vegas. What a Trip. Thanks to everyone that offered to "Buy a Piece of me". Unfortunately I did not play the Tournament so everyone is off the hook for the cash. My game was on and I was catching cards but I just didn’t think I would have had the stamina to play a 3 Day tournament and just wasnt feeling comfortable putting other peoples money in play. I did win a WSOP Satellite and pocket $1,000 in that game.

Every Poker Player dreams of rolling up a stake and heading to Vegas. Dreams of playing in the Big one dancing through their heads... The Bracelet.. That is all, Everything. The Stanley Cup, The Superbowl Ring, Wimbledon, The Green Jacket. The Holy Grail itself.. All wrapped into one shiny little bracelet. I am leaving for Vegas Tomorrow. The WSOP (World Series of Poker) preliminary Events are going on right now. Saturdays Event is $1,500 Buyin NLHE Event. This is a Bracelet Event. 1st place should be over $1 Million. I am thinking about selling 2/3rd of my action if anyone wants else wants to be part of my Ali like return to the ring. Each $100 Share gets you 6.67% of the winnings. I keep the bracelet. If nothing else, Wish me Luck.

That reminds me of J`s reaction when I suggested that next year he line up Golf Cart rentals for the Boogie. I think the response was "HELL NO!! I like my customers too much for that".

Her posts have absolutely NOTHING to do with why the USPA settled. READ THE COURT DOCUMENTS. I am Attaching the the only real ruling that was made in this case. Here are the highlights: Ruling on Count one (Alleged Violation of Section One of the Sherman Act): From Page 22: Conclusion: ....... Please NOTE… NOTHING to do with Jans Posts. Every thing to do with what I posted earlier. ....... Ruling on Counts Two and Three (Alleged Violations of Section Two of the Sherman Act).. Dismissed. Ruling on Count Four: Ruling on Count Five: Count Six (Self-Dealing) and Count Seven (Breach of Legal Duty): Dismissed. Ruling on Count Eight (Breach of Duty of Good Faith and Fair Dealing: So PLEASE… tell me where.. ANYWHERE.. How ANY post that Jan or anyone else ever made had any relevance to this case at all? It is my opinion that is a load of horse shit that those in charge of this debacle want everyone to believe. There is NOTHING anywhere in this ruling that would reasonably indicate that ANY internet posts had any bearing or relevance to this case at all. The USPA was Screwed because they didn’t follow their own Rules, They allowed themsevelves to look like a trade organization and the DZO`s and DZ Manager Board Members had a clear conflict of interest. Note: I am NOT a Lawyer but I have been through similar cases in federal court and successfully represented/defended myself pre se. These are my opinions based on reading the publicly available documents in this case. I have tried to attach the complete Ruling but it is too large. I will gladly email it to anyone that wants a copy.

It may be semantics, but there is a HUGE difference between Losing the case and settling the case. In this case, the USPA settled and the tried to pin the blame on Jan for doing so when in reality, There was no indication at all in the judges rulings on the motions to dismiss that Jans posts were even a factor in this case. A complete NON-ISSUE. The real issues were what I mentioned in the previous post. Those things are what Killed the USPA`s chances at defending itself in an anti-trust lawsuit. Not some posts on a web site. Once again.. READ the Court Documents. Read what the JUDGE said.

Bill.. Did you ever bother to read the publicly available court documents in this case? I know that what you are saying is the USPA Executive Committee party line.. However if you actually read the court documents and read the ONLY ruling made in the case.. I think you will see that Jans Posts were far from the most damaging parts of the USPA`s case. Here.. let me quote for you: Here is what the JUDGE thought about these claims: Now how was it that it was Jans posts that made the USPA settle? Looks to me like it was the president of the USPA, The Southern Regional Director and the National Director from Arizona that the Judge really had an issue with. Disclaimer: I dont think any of these people were at fault and I dont even think these claims are accurate, But if you have to throw out Blame, Read the documents and read what the Judge wrote. Of course it is much easier to just say ”It was Jans Fault.”

Just wanted to point out that some of that CASH you are earning comes from skyride scams as the DZ listed in your profile is a Skyride affiliate. Back to, For some us.. Honesty and integrity mean something. For others, it is just about the cash. This site is a place where people can come to learn about skydiving. There is no greater resource on the web anywhere. Keeping relevant information available about Skyride and their business practices available where potential skyride victims can find this information BEFORE they get taken is important. As for what has changed: There is Legal action being taken (FINALLY) but it is moving with very slowly. In the mean time, People are still getting scammed every day. (one of which is who brought this thread back up). You are right, If people quit working for Skyride affiliates and fun Jumpers boycotted Skyride Affiliates. Things would change quickly. Since that is not happening, all we can do is keep trying to warn people in advance.

How about looking at who resurrected this thread. It wasn’t one of "US". It was yet another person that claimed they were ripped off by Skyride. Put your head back in the sand and it will all just go away. For some people, Things like Honesty and integrity mean something... For others, obviously not so much.

(Anyone else notice some USPA official types helping with the pouring?) NEXT year.. Now that we have 17 or so new SCR Holders (Actually we have more new SCR Holders than that but only those that have been poured on may actually Pour) to help welcome next years maggots. I think the SCR Award is a great Tradition and Hope we can revive this great part of skydiving history here on the east coast. Everyone PLEASE make sure to display your trophies proudly!

And had a place to plug it in. Other than my minor power issues for the first few days, Skyfest was everything it was supposed to be. Safe, Fun, Friendly and Fuggin HOT!!! Cant wait for next year. The pencil comment was a joke. I forget that people take things way too seriously. If I cant get a real repack, I wont jump that rig. Good thing I bought a new (New to me anyway) Infinity iwth a Smart Reserve last weekend that is IN date. Just have to swap my main over to that container and I am good to go.

I remember several years ago getting ready for my first boogie.. Check list after Check List, Making sure everything was lined up ready go atleast a week before the boogie was to start.. Fast forward a few years later, Wait till a few hours before you are supposed to leave and grab a few things and go right? This great method has worked great for me for that few Boogies I went to...Till This one. It started when I went to go pick up my Pop-up this past weekend. First the A/C went out in the Van Then I find the Pop-Up has a Flat. Fixing the flat on the Po-up was easy. Fixing the A/C on the Van was Not (Actually the FIX was super easy, It only took me the past 3 days to find the problem. Who would have thought an Engine Vacuum Leak would cause the A/C not to work. (Older cars use engine Vacuum to control the Blower Baffles. Moral of this story.. No Suck, No Blow). Next, The Poker Tournament Trophies that I ordered two weeks ago have not shown up yet. Spent all morning Yelling at the Trophy company. (The Fix was to go to Local Trophy company and get other trophies rushed so that they are ready by Noon and get a refund from the company I ordered from two weeks ago.) Then Last Night I started making Jello-shots for the Great Jello Taste test with Micduran. Stopped by Kroger to get favorite flavors of jello.. And they have Been DISCONTINUED!! There will be no Sour Apple and Vodka Jello shots this year. And then... The Biggest and most unforgivable screwup on my part. As I am Loading the Van last night.. I happen to check my reserve repack card (The night before leaving for the Boogie that I have known about for a years is the right time to do this, correct??). Yep.. Rig went out of date on Monday. Anyone got a pencil?? (Seriously, Any Riggers going to be around tonight at Skyfest? I am willing to pay the “You are a Dumbass” Boogie premium for a repack) That is if I actually make it to skyfest which with they way things are going.. is sort of questionable at this point. No with all these minor catastrophes.. I would love to see what up-n-downshop’s list looks like s that I can see what real problems are.

We will only need one table. I would much rather try to Run several single table qualifiers than to try to Run Multi-Table Madness. MUCH easier to keep things moving smoothly only dealing with a max of 10 players at a time. Games will be played by TDA Rules and we will use a Tex`s TEARs Blind structure. I will have sign up sheets available Thursday Morning. (Morning for me means sometime after 10:00am BTW). I will cut off registration after 30 people. (3 ten person Qualifiers with the final 3 from each game making the final Table). The Official Tournament (for the Trophies) is Thursday at 9:30 PM. I will NOT be running game Friday night or Saturday Night, Too much other stuff going on. I will try to Strap either the Poker Table or James and Clay to the top of the Van.

The Trophies should be in Today for the tournament. I already have the Pokerstars shirts and hats. To make sure this is legal; We will do what we have done at the Dublin Tournaments in the past. 100% of the buy-in will go to a local charity and we will be playing for the Tee shirts and Trophies that have been donated only. I am also hoping to persuade one or two of the Manufacturers that will be there to maybe kick in a little something to the prize pool (in exchange for picking the Charity maybe). I will be working on this soon as I get there tomorrow. The Buy-in at Dublin has always been $20. If it looks like we have enough interest, this will be a Shoot-out format. (Several games with the top Finishers from each making the Final Table.) Do you guys have a good Poker table there or other suitable place to play? I was planning on bringing my tables but I now have a couple extra people wanting to ride with me. Not room in the Van for the tables and them. Going to have to leave one or the other behind or just make my Brother ride on top of the Van (Which really isn’t that bad of an idea anyway).

You guys get any SCR`s done yet?? For those still wondering what the SCR`s are go here for the history. One of Skydivings Oldest Traditions.. Doesnt matter if you have 25 jumps or 25000 jumps.. Get your SCR.

I have greatly softened my stance on text Messages after the "Incident". Let me just warn everyone.. It is NEVER a Good idea to send a Picture of Your Nuts to a Nun. I mean NEVER. Now there is at least a 50% chance that if you send me a text, you MAY not get the Nut picture response. Disclaimer: I still reserve the right to NUT anyone that sends me a text when a Phone call would have made more sense (Which is almost always!).

Question about the new showers.. What is max occupancy rating? Can I go ahead and start a manifest list Shower Load One.. (We want to make sure we are environmentally friendly and save water you know.) Also is a resent A License Holder with a valid USPA Membership and signed off A Card but no official USPA A License Number yet going to have an issue at registration? (Lazy slack ass brother of mine hasn’t bothered to send his Card in yet) Start knocking out some SCR`s. We need lots of recipients for Saturday Nights Ceremony!!
