Everyone I have talked to that went to this years Convention seemed to be disappointed. Most have said that they will not go back. Personally, I love the Convention and want to see it return. I thought a Thread with positive and constructive Suggestions on ways the Convention can be improved could help. 1. Pro-Rate the Boogie Fee. The Number one Complaint was that people would not pay $70 when they were only staying a Few days. There are ways this could be done that have been discussed in other threads. 2. Lower the Vendor Fees - One of the Big Draws for the Convention is the fact that All the Major Manufacturers should be there along with many Major Vendors. With attendance Dropping, The Vendors cannot justify $1,000 just to have a Booth there. Without the Vendors, Attendance will continue to drop. With the vendors not coming, That is one more reason for the Jumpers to skip the convention. 3. Deliver the promised Air-Craft. I spent most of a Day waiting for the Heli to show. First Manifest said it would be there at Noon, Then they said Check back at 1:00pm, then it was check back at 3:00pm, Then it was maybe tomorrow. If it isn’t coming, just say so!! The Pac and Heli Never showed from what I was told. 4. Better marketing. It seemed to me that the organizers have gotten Lax about the convention. There was Nothing new this year other than Phat Annie and even that was not widely published. 5. More Organized and Publicized Competitions. Again some of this goes back to the better marketing of what is being offered. Lets see a Swoop Meet, A 4-way Comp and maybe even some 8 and 10 way competitions. I know some of these things are going on currently but they could be bet better publicized. Start Pushing these events in January so that teams have time to get organized and ready. 6. Put the Bar back in the Main tent. Moving behind the Tent this year was a bad move. One, You couldn’t see it, Two, It was too hard to get to the bar if there were more than 5 or 6 people there, Three, It drew people away from the tent. The Convention needs an overhaul if it going to survive. The Regional Boogies like Dublin and Skyfest are growing and competition is getting tougher. I hope Don and his Great Crew will step back and take a long look at what is happening and react to a Changing Market. Anyone else have any suggetions??

OK.. I`m back from Rantoul (Which Sucked BTW but in a mostly Good way!!). As for the Party Bus... There is currently only 1 slot left (If everyone actually shows up). I would also like to have a Couple of Back ups in case some people flake out on me as I am on the hook for $852.00 to pay for this thing. The Bus will leave the Farm at 8:30pm on Friday Evening. I will start at the top of the list, Once I call your name Hand me $35 (Cash Only Please) and get on. If you are not there I will go to the next name (Exceptions will be made for Robbie, Maryanne and Buried who are meeting us in Atlanta). I just got DD'ed from Rantoul and its only 10:30 in the morning. I leave in 30 minutes to head that way!! Wooo Hooo!!

Cant wait to see you guys in two weeks at the Farm. Rantoul will not be same this year with out you. Who is going to keep me outa Trouble?? Or fall off the back of the bike?

If we were talking Latex, I would agree. Airbrush Body Paint is basically Liquid Makeup. Are you telling me you have never had your Hoo-Ha (Official Kele01 TM) Airbrushed?? Notice earlier when White Liquid Latex was suggested, My response was Don’t plan on drinking much!!

Lots of people flying into Atlanta on Friday. One group Getting in around Noon. I know of another getting in around 8:30PM. If you are serious about coming, I am sure we can find you a ride. Or.. Just get on Marta and meet the Bus in Underground. Ride back to the DZ on the Party Bus. Drop Off Sunday Evening is definately not a problem.

Im Sure Ben will be glad to lend a supporting hand or two all night.
