Update: So we show up last night at Midnight and get in line, Only a couple hundred people in front of us. Find our Spot on the sidewalk and settle in for an interesting evening to say the least. I always thought that Idol looked really hard to find all the weird freaky people they put on the "Bad Auditions". WRONG. It looked to me like they were more the rule than the exception. The people that brought their very small children and infants with them really disturbed me. To bring a child with you to stay OUTSIDE all night IN THE RAIN just so Mom can audition for Idol is bordering on Child Abuse in my opinion and there were many out there. But with the exception if the infants that would have clearly have preferred to be elsewhere (And made it very clear all night) it was a pretty fun group of people. 2 or 3 of them could almost actually sing. Unfortunately they were usually quickly drowned out by 4 to 5 hundred that could not whenever one of they started up. The rain started about 2am but was fairly light. We were lucky enough to happen to in a place in line that had an over hang so we managed to stay mostly dry. The vast majority of others in line were not so lucky but fortunately the rain did not last too long. Finally after a long 7 Hours sitting on a Concrete sidewalk, Listening to people attempt to sing, joking around and some REAL Quality People watching time, they opened the doors to start registration. We discovered earlier that there would be NO AUDITIONS today. They were just doing registration and all auditions would be on Thursday. We get our Wrist Bands and Tickets/Seats for Thursday and we are done by 7:30am. Thursday we have to be back at 5:00am and my daughter will be the 172nd person to audition for the producers. If they like her (or really DON’T like her) she gets on to the judges. So far it has been pretty fun and I am really looking forward to Thursday. A Couple pics attached.

I am looking for Vibes, Luck, Well Wishes. Positive thoughts, what ever I can get for my daughter as she Auditions for Idol Tomorrow. Starting tonight at midnight I get to go stand in line with her and about 100,000 other Idol Hopefuls. The first Round of American Idol Auditions are Tomorrow. It should be interesting tonight standing line all night and even more interesting watching the audition process tomorrow. The Kid can definitely sing but all of her experience is in musical theater. I just hope she doesn't become one of the "Scary" auditions. For now, It is just fun to dream. Attached is a Pic of your 2010 American Idol. You heard it hear first.

And this I agree with 100%. Posting shit like cloud infractions and other relatively minor things like that does no one any good but to bring unneeded attention to everyone. The last thing anyone needs is FAA breathing down every DZ`s throat and the FAA absolutely will not see any difference between "Skyride" DZ`s and any other DZ. I personally think Skyrides business practices suck. I also know that in the past ASC and other Cary Q Owned businesses have employed the same Deceptive Business practices. But it is the BUSINESS practices that I have issue with. The DZ`s are as safe as any I have been to and the Instructors are competent and qualified as any. The jumpers at those DZ`s are the same as any other DZ I have seen, Some are pretty cool and people that I consider friends and Others are complete and total Asshats. (Just like any other DZ). (And Justin, I think you fall in both categories!!) I choose not to jump at ASC, Clarksville or any other Cary Q owned DZ simply because I dont want any of my money to ever end up in Cary Q`s Pocket. Focus on the real issue here, the business practices. Trying to go after the DZ`s for Minor cloud infractions or the last load landing a few minutes after sunset hurts all of us.

I can only assume that grasshoppers taste a lot like crickets. Not all that bad.

I will be sure to keep an eye on him and make sure is at least as well behaved as I am..

I used to use that very same technique, Now I just go through the same motions but don't take the top off the vermouth. Back to the Pickle juice.. I was at a party a while back where people were doing tequila shots and adding a splash of pickle Juice to each shot. I never tried it as I could only think "What a great way to ruin perfectly good tequila", But several of the usually Non-Tequila drinkers loved it. Just curious if anyone else here has tried that?

Wow.. That is something I usually only hear after a Boogie Weekend. Also some heathens will add a splash of Vermouth to their Martinis, I am personally of the opinion that you should simply threaten the Martini with the bottle of vermouth however but Fluids should never be allowed to mingle.

A dirty Martini is : Ice cold Vodka and splash of Olive Juice.

Pickle Juice - Love it. A couple weeks ago someone walked in as I had turned up the Pickle Jar and was drinking the last of the juice and they thought it was very strange. Olive Juice - I have never had a Jar of olives in my fridge where the the olives lasted longer than the Juice. The best way to drink the Olive Juice though is too add it to a little Ice cold Vodka. Sushi - Favorite Food. I could live off sushi and dirty martinis.

Cookies - The smell of Fresh baked cookies. Bar-B-Q - Not the meat but the smell of the meat Cooking over a good Hickory fire. Nitro-methane - That pungent sweet smell of Nitro right after watching Top Fuel Funny Cars and Dragsters make a pass is one of the best smells in the world. The smell of a really good Ruben Sammich and Ice Cold Beer combined with the perfume of the Hottie that is bringin them to me. Scent of a Woman - That sweet aroma that gently lingers after really good sex.

I use Facebook for old College friends and family and generally will not Add skydiving buddies just for this reason. I do not want my daughter and relatives seeing boogie pics that I may be in. I have thought about setting up a second Facebook account just for Skydiver type friends.
