Lies, theft and Deception. They have 100`s of website for Dropzone that do not really exist. They lie to customers when they do call in about who they are and where they are located. They will not tell a customer where they will be making a jump until after they get their non-refundable Credit Card info. They send people sometimes several states over to a dropzone that accepts their Certificates when they may pass several other DZ`s along the way. They have been know to sell certificates for dropzones that do not accept their certificates and then refuse to give the customer a refund once they find out. They stole many Picture and sometimes even entire web pages from many Jumpers and set up webpages for DZ`s that do not really exist with these images. When the Owner of a Tennessee Dropzone was killed in a Skydiving accident, They called up the Phone company shortly after his death pretending to be the Dead DZO and had the 1-800 number for his dropzone redirected to their Offices. These are only a few of the things this company has done.

I am looking for suggestions from other here with large MP3 collection on what software they use to Maintain their Collections (Files not Libraries)?? I had about 80gb of MP3s that I personally ripped from my CD collection. Every File and ID3 Tag was perfect and consistent. Now a friend has given me a copy of their 40gb Collection.. But It is ugly as hell. Missing tags, Incomplete Tags, No consistency to Naming (same Band/Artists Spelled 5 Different ways) (Files and/or Tag info) No structure at all. I need to clean it up so I can merge it with my collection. So it looks like I needs several things.. 1) Something that will Correct all the Tags from a consistant and accurate online datbase (In HUGE Batch Mode). One at a time would take years) 2) Something that will rename the Files based off the corrected Tags and then create Artist\Album\ Directory structure one the Tags are fixed. 3) finally something that will Merge the two collections. Probably 80% or more will be duplicates, In which case I want to Keep the MP3 from my Collection and just fill in whatever I am missing from the new collection. I have used Tag Scanner in the past which is great at Changing File Names from Tag info but sucks at creating Tags. I bought Fixtunes to try to identify the songs with missing and incomplete Tags but after running 5000 songs through it only identified about half and even those sill had 100s of mistakes even on ones it said were 100% accurate and would still have the same Bad\Artist spelled several different ways. (Is it AC\DC, AC-DC, AC_DC or ACDC.. The software says all are correct and I end up with 4 Different Folders for the same band.) What magic utils do you guys use to keep your collections clean and organized? (I will cock slap the first dumbass that suggests that functionally illiterate POS iTunes.)

That just depends on how many cats you can round up. Perhaps the Funniest Skydiving related Story I ever heard was a bit Neal Boortz did many years ago. It was a "Live" Broadcast from the Georgia State Skydiving Cat Catching contest". 4 Jumpers and a Pissed off cat in a Cessna, get to altitude, Toss the cat out and then all four jumpers. Who ever lands with the cat wins. (No One won the first couple Rounds.) It was all staged with great sound effects and copies of the tape were sold to raise money for the local animal shelters. The Police were scrambling to visit all the local Airports while the show was being aired trying to find out where this was going on so they could shut it down.

And how long would it take them to find it if they did have it on paper somewhere? Some DZ`s I have been do not exactly have the best filing system in place. How long would they have to dig through Filing cabinets to find that waiver you filed out a couple years ago?

lets see.. Most Criminals are Lazy and generally not very intelligent. But they can read a piece of paper. Those that are capable of "hacking" much of anything generally are fairly intelligent and motivated. Sorry, but as someone with more than just a passing knowledge of database security.. It is a million times easier to steal your credit card info and or personal info by walking into manifest and digging through the files cabinet. ANYONE is capable of that. Less than 1/10 of 1% of the people in the world would even have a chance at accessing your data from a secure database and most of them have pretty damn good jobs already. The media loves to scare people. That is how they get you to watch the news and/or Buy their papers. Most the "millions of Identities stolen" BS the spew is just that.. BS. All that means is someone had access to a Computer that contained the files. It doesn’t mean they opened the file, it doesn’t mean they went out and got credit cards in your name, It doesn’t mean they made charges to your card. How many people have access to the File cabinet at the DZ?? How hard would it be to get access to that file cabinet?? I am Positive It would be a hell of a lot easier and require a lot less skill. The vast majority of TRUE identity theft is from exactly what I mentioned before, Some kid at the Restaurant making a copy of your credit card when you hand it to them and let them walk away with it. Just keep that tin foil hat on and you will be safe.

Sounds like a good idea but it will a tough sell to all the geezers that still think "That Evil Magic Box" is going to come to life and take over the world. Funny thing about people that are so scared to give information that will be stored in a secure encrypted database dont think twice about going to a restaurant and handing some waiter or waitress their credit card and let them walk off with it. If I wanted to be a criminal and steal peoples information, instead of spending 100s of hours trying to crack some computer.. I would just go get a job at as a waiter and collect 20 to 30 new credit card numbers a night. Of course I would need to check everyone’s ID too when they order a drink. Then I have thier Credit Card info, Billing address, DOB and everything else. I hope this idea takes off and people start using it. It would save alot of time for Jumpers and DZO`s. the paranoid ones can stand in line to fill out paperwork (MUCH less secure. Writing it down for ANYONE that can read to steal.) I would MUCH rather have personal info in a secure database than written down on a Piece of paper somewhere.

Contact a Lawyer. A real one that is Local. Contact the Bank that holds the Mortage and tell them you are interested in Buying the property. Also discuss it with the owner if possible. Sounds like you may be able to get a great deal.
