The planes that they had in the movie were real. It's just that they took the one plane and, using computers, put it into the movie as many planes. That's is why all the planes looked exactly alike, they were the same plane. "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."

I am looking into getting a helmet with an internal audible area, and am currently looking at two. The aviator, and the velocity. They are both fairly simple open face helmets, and I was just curious what everyone thought about one or the other or both. I only have 17 jumps so far with 5 of them on my own rig (vector II). Thanks, Scott "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."

Your links are flying justin, I am downloading both of them right now at about 65KB per second. "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."

nothing is required per se, it's just whatever you feel comfortable wearing.

The most recent that I can think I of that I really enjoyed, but most poeple seem to think were just stupid would be Josie and the Pussycats and Dude! Where's My Car? They are both so damn funny though. The problem is that some people don't watch movies very carefully. A lot of little jokes that could make the movie are missed if you aren't really watching. ... confessions of a movie nerd ... "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. That's sounds an aweful lot like a radio bit I have heard called Dr. Shotski Wadsworth. He's a sock puppet sex therapist. "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."

I don't know, but I would have to say in recent memory, 13 Ghosts was horrendous. Sucked the big one.

You know I don't think that I have had the opportunity to stop and fully enjoy skydiving, to the point that I dream about it. I am still in my static line prgression, and I am too busy counting and making sure I do everything to actually take it all in. I have had several jumps where I know I counted, but can't remember counting, because I was in such a zone that I was just doing everything and not even thinking about it. Hopefully, when I get to the point where I am falling longer or don't need a jumpmaster or something, I will be able to take the time to appreciate that I am falling towards the earth faster than I am allowed to drive, while it is actually happening, in stead of just in retrospect. Thought everyone would get a kick out of this picture. Scott Work Warning! "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."

My understanding was that most places, BASE jumping itself is not illegal. It's just that they always try to find something else to charge you with, like trespassing, or nusance, or something along those lines. Am I wrong about this? Mike, Yea, I have noticed that. In fact I didn't go searching for a quote to put on my signature. I was listening to Momentary Lapse of Reason, and thought, "Hey, that sounds like something a skydiver would say." Turns out it was in a song called Learning to Fly. Incidentally, since this thread is about movies, has anyone seen the movie More? Scott "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."

I like how in almost all of the movies Tarentino has done, he plays a minor role that usually gets killed off towards the beginning of the movie.

Watch out for those dirt dives though... Scott "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."

I can flat pack my F-111 in about 20 minutes, if noone distracts me, but I just learned how to do it this weekend, so I am sure I will get faster. Scott "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."

You calling my dad old?! "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."

No, you aren't the only one who didn't like it. I don't think my dad liked it either. Scott "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."

I agree with Tomas.

I can't pick out one favorite movie I have so I will just mentions some that haven't been mentioned yet, that you should all watch. Waiting for Guffman Magnolia Jacob's Ladder And although they have already been mentioned: 12 Monkeys Fight Club A Clockwork Orange Scott "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Well the guy who wrote it is either a really good writer, or incredibly stupid when it comes to computers.

Would the rings being reversed slow down the cutaway process, since the rings would be pressed against the body? Or do they get pulled away from the body when the chute opens, or tries to open? Scott "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."

First off, the United States is not going to be totally destroyed, or anywhere close to that. The United States is just too powerful for that to happen, unless the U.S. somehow manages to piss off the entire world. Once again, that's not going to happen. I'm not saying that the world is a nice place. What I am saying is that I am not comfortable with the U.S. government carrying out whatever agenda it has and then coming back to me and saying, "What do you mean you don't approve? I did it all for you." I am not saying that I disagree with what the government is currently doing to eliminate terrorism. I am saying that the same government has been responsible for just as many shady doings as good deeds. I just don't want to be their excuse for those bad things they have done or will do in the future. The ends do NOT justify the means Yea, well there are more than plenty of people who like the United States, and whose countries have choosen to ally with the United States, and whose vacation plans center around the United States. There are also plenty of people who think that the Holocaust was a joke, or that white people are the supreme race, or that reverseable jackets are cool. The world is big enough and has enough people that there will always be "plenty" of people who agree with pretty much any opinion that is expressed. You are free to have your own opinion, but aside from this sentence, I will take the high road and not respond to that. Scott "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."

The United States is a nice place, and I like living here, but if it comes down to some government official saying that I have to fight for the "United States' Cause," I will send everyone a postcard from Canada. That is not an exceptable argument. I won't condone doing something bad, just because it ends up benefitting me. Especially when it is someone else doing it and saying, "Don't worry about it, it's for your own good, trust me." Scott "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."

I am probably going to get flamed like crazy for saying this, but other than the fact that almost 6000 people died, the result of September 11th that I hate most is the incredible resurgence in completely blind "patriotism." I am not trying to say that patriotism is bad, but I am sick of people acting as if the United States' flag is sacred. It's not. There have been just as many evil things as good done under that flag. I understand that the original post is somewhat of a joke, but behind that still lies the mentality that violence is the solution to differences between people. Finally, just poke fun at my own remarks, if you ever overhear someone talking about current events in regards to "The War On Terrorism" like they have all the facts and all the answers, kick their ass. Scott "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."
