  2. Skydiving doesn't ruin marriages. If a couple get divorced "because of skydiving" then there were other problems with the stability of the relationship in the first place. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project
  3. that's because most of the "action" in cutaway was real. And yes you should wave off and track away from others before depoying, but that tends to put most of the action out of the camera frame. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project
  4. (Number of jumps) / (Number of Days since your first jump) = Average jumps per day since you've been jumping. Here's mine: 153(jumps) / 297(days) = 0.5152(jumps per day) Can anyone beat that?
  5. September 29th, 2001 at Jerry's Skydiving Circus in Franklin, IN. Static-Line. Did 3 jumps(static-lines) that day. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project
  6. My DZO has an interesting thing to say about Psycho Packing. He says everyone he has ever known who started Psycho packing, has stopped within 100 jumps. hehe "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project
  7. Doubtful. Especially if I wanted to enjoy the skydives and be completely alert. E-ticket rides? What's that? "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project
  8. I'm not going because I can't justify spending 60 bucks for being there for only 2 or 3 days, which is the most that I would be able to since I can't take the time off of work. Lack of funds plays a small part as well.
  9. Just stop surfing for porn and warez. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project
  10. He didn't say it was safe or not safe. He said he felt safer, and mentioned a sense of safety. That is his subjective opinion, which is probably even influenced by not being as comfortable with new DZ's. What you read(interpretted) in his comment and what he actually wrote are different. 11. Yes indeed they are. And I understand what you mean by looking up. I don't look up until I feel the lines start to stand me up.
  12. I haven't refused to go there. But I've made no special effort to go there either. It's not because some people say it is dangerous, but rather because there is so much controversy about it. I have plenty of DZ's available to me that noone seems to be able to find anything bad to say about. Should a convenient opportunity to go to SDC arise, I probably will. But I don't plan on looking for or trying to arrange that opportunity. Even if rumors are just rumors, there are plenty of dropzones around that have somehow managed to not have rumors that extreme told about them. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project
  13. If something is being done that is illegal or dangerous, they better "rat out their own." We shouldn't have to "cover up" for others in the sport who choose to make stupid decisions. DISCLAIMER: The above comment is intentionally of a general nature and should be read as such. I am referring to or implying nothing more than I said. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" 14. You know what. Regardless of how much of what is said about SDC is true, there still seems to be an aweful lot of controversy surrounding it and how safe it is to jump there. That's why I choose not to. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project
  15. Why would looking up to watch the snivel make you turn in your harness? I jump a Spectre and I almost always watch it, once my risers are pulled all the way up. Do you jump a camera that requires turning your head to look up? "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project
  16. I'm no expert but it seems to me that the only type of separation that makes any difference is horizontal separation. Vertical makes no difference at all. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project
  17. We may have missed that, but we had an equally good time jumping the CASA at Greene County. Plus we didn't have to spend all that money on a plane ride that requires you to land with the plane. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project
  18. I am just curious but I was wondering who was planning on being at Richmond this year. Looks like it is scheduled for August 28th - September 2nd, and you can get 10 jump packages for 180 bucks. That seems pretty reasonable, along with the 30 registration fee. I'm thinking about going since it is only about 1.5 hours from where I live anyway. Who else is going to to be there that I will get to meet or see again? "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" 19. I doubt you could come up with a more objectively put together article. He puts both sides of the story in it, and lets the facts and quotes speak for themselves. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project
  20. 1 (number of possible mals that I packed myself, but caught and fixed before closing my container):5:0 It was a slow week for me, jump number wise, but it was just too damn hot to want to jump again after getting really hot and sweaty on Sunday. WooHoo!

Dammit! I haven't been planning on going to WFFC because I can't afford it and can't take that many days off from work. But just reading about everyone getting excited about it is making me wish I was going to be there. damn you all!! "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project
  22. That was easy. Didn't even have to use my own words to respond to this. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project
