    Umm..hope it only takes 3 weeks... a couple years ago my cypres came up for its 8 year, and i sent the thing in in april, and didnt get it back until november.

    Chicago suburbs here--hopin to move into the city when i can find a roommate. I am a nomad that will be going back and forth between SDC and CSC all summer long.

    I agree. By the same token, then, would the student be allowed to inspect the aircraft's engines to see they are working properly? I think that if the rig is near a reserve repack and the DZ doesn't need the rig for other students that day, I dont see a problem. But if the dz is backed up with aff students and it's a rig that is not due for a repack in a while, then I think it should be explained to the student what the reserve repack card means and what was done to the rig when.

    A kick ass trip to florida last week with jumps at Deland and Z-hills. Damn, now i REALLY can't wait till the summer hits chicago.

    my weekend started tuesday night so.... 0:12 or 13--gotta look at my log book: who knows, but i bought several cases. was down in FL for most of the week, got 5 jumps in at deland on wed (1 on the sunset load) and thurs (4 jumps). Great DZ, tho i wish i could have jumped the skyvan. Instead, i was relegated to freeflying out of the porter because the van was backed up with teams. no complaints, tho, because it was still way better than whatever was goin on around here. Friday, Sat, and Sunday, I went to Z-hills. Freakin LOVED it. got in a bunch of freeflying including 3 ball jumps, the best one being a sort of dodge ball where people on the dive were tossing the ball to (at?) one another--tho i mainly watched cuz my skyball-grabbing needs a bit of work. now, back to reality. thanks to everyone i met down there. i dont know if i met any .commers but if you are out there, i had a freakin blast. tomas

    Yeah? well, reason I am goin there is cuz I am gonna do some freeflyin with Wittenburg, who is down at z-hills. besides, from what i gather it's only like an hr and a half from Orlando to z-hills which isn't bad considering that's the distance i drive whenever i got to SDC.

    hehehe at work i printed a map of FL and drew an arrow to Orlando (cuz Z-hills isnt on it and i don't know where it is) labeled "I'm Here" and am gonna tape it to my computer screen for all to see.

    I personally like how you gotta submit a picture to confirm your "whiteness". I'm South American but anyone that knows me will say I look as white as they come. so what would be another requirement? sending in a tape of the applicant attempting to dance?

    yeah, i wish i could have had it next week too, but it wasn't gonna work out with the people i am visiting in orlando. right now i am planning to be at zhills tomorrow, either thurs or fri, and sat and sunday. budgeting about 30 jumps. freeflying IS ON!!!!

    yup, thats exactly right. when i started the program i looked at the exercise routine and thought it would not do anything cuz it wasnt very long. once i actually started tho, it's a different story. i have actually gained a little weight in muscle and tho i am only 5 weeks into it i have noticed a difference in appearance. not to mention the fact i feel tons better because i am in better shape. the real trick, tho, as was mentioned, is to actually push yourself to the edge.

    1. Limp Bizkit or any of those clone bands that have been popular in the last few years. 2. Mint Chocolate--i like mints, i like chocolate, but the 2 together are gross. 3. I dont know if it fits the context of the question, but whenever anyone tells a story, people listening always like to wait right until they finish and then immediately try to "top" their story with something more impressive. I'm just trying to share an amusing anectdote, people, not proving my worth as a human being...

    It depends what you consider dumb, and what you consider rich or poor. I didn't do well as an engineer in college so some of my profs or classmates might think i'm dumb. some of the clients i work with are really dumb--well, ignorant is a better word, and i wouldnt want to be rich with that lack of intelligence. if by smart it means smart enough to get out of the situation with my brains alone, then i'd rather be smart and poor.

    ok, so i am flyin out to FL tomrorow (tues night)...gonna have the TSA letter and cypres card on me...anything else that anyone can suggest i have with me when i go through security in case i have any problems? blue skies Tomas

    yup that cold weather you'll get is what we have now...no fun. i can't wait to get the hell out of here for a few days!!!! i plan to also hit the beach one day and possibly go to Lake Wales to visit some folx there but mostly i plan to jump a lot at z-hills.

    Coincidentally enough, I will be down in the Z-hills area from the cold of CHicago from the 18th-22nd. I will be the guy that looks like a mime (half black half white freefly suit) playing on his head!! blue ones Tomas
