    i like that rule. guess, the winds never change in your neck of the woods. if you cant make up for a plan b while in air, maybe skydiving is not for you.. setting a pattern pre-flight only seems reasonable on nil-wind days, or such, with light winds and lots of changing of them. thus to avoid people chasing the windsock, or if you have a pattern pre-set that only allows landing north-south/east-west or something.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S.     here, in order to get a license, you have to have 10 documented and announced accuracy landings. canopy drills are mandatory too. not that i could talk much about experience, but there's a couple guys around here just like you, same amount of jumps, same years.. always spectacular to watch (and listen too)! that would probably be a shame..     the attitude part i agree with you, but, if every jumper would take the responsibility part serious, why would you say its not enough? maybe skydiving has become way to fool-proof, AAD's, RSL's, the equipment itself. so even people like me will do it!? and i'm not arguing with you really, you said things a non-native speaker could missunderstand (which i did). “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S.     you're in the sport long enough, tell me how many of your friends swoop (safely) and how many of those would be very unhappy if it got "socially unacceptable"!? i'm in the sport for one year myself, i jump in a small country where pretty much most jumpers are known to each other, or at least have met once. i have never witnessed or heard of close-calls. its not easy getting a license here. some people take 150 jumps or more until they're looked at as "safe and competent enough" to be let in the air with everyone else. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S.     i disagree and say, as long as we as a group make it socially unacceptable to leap from an airplane when there is more than 3ft between you and the ground, the death toll will continue to rise. only irresponsible people need regulations like that, because otherwise, they would take responsibility of their actions and act accordingly.. jeeesus.. and may i add, its easier to stay ignorant and cry for more regulations! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S.
