i know that baby's got a couple years on it's back already, but for me it's new since i only got one about a month ago.. together with the 15-85 IS USM. i'm completely blown away! this is my first DSLR, the learning curve is kinda steep, i bought several books, one about the camera itself, one about photography in general and another one mostly with tips on how to take better pictures and more tech to consider. not really planning on taking it airborne, but man, this camera is AWESOME! i kinda wondered why there were not many posts about it on here, my guess is that it's a pretty hefty piece of equipment and would take it's toll on necks. any other fans of the 7D around here? “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Full frame + 8-15mm would be an interesting combo for sure. I have no experience with the lens, but I would suspect it has a rather thick front element and it is very prone to fogging which is a major drawback in skydiving enviroment. it's an L-lens and as such weather sealed; can fogging become a problem then? “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. i wanna get the non-IS version to go with my 7D and the 15-85 i already have.. next one will be harder to choose, but the 8-15 fisheyed sounds like a lot of fun too!

I've found this to be true in several asian countries, I'm told this is true in many euro countries, I find it true in a lot of regions in the US as well. Seems to me to be common sense. I always try to greet people and ask if they are well before initiating the direct purpose of my visit. The response has ALWAYS been very positive. That's during international trips, or going to the store a few blocks from house. It's less about rudeness, it's more about treating the other person as an individual deserving respect who happens to have a job..... instead of just a vendor of a service or product with no other purpose (no matter how polite the delivery of the request). It's really hard for me to remember to do this, I'm very mission focused, so a little bit of pleasantry seems inefficient to me. But the payoff has been good in terms of quality of service and just getting a lot more smiles. I don't care where you are from, most people seem to appreciate it. The outliers that operate like the Seinfeld "soup nazi" are the exceptions, not the rule. for my job i have a shitload of contacts with vendors, salespeople, suppliers and what not to do; usually i'm asking them to offer me stuff - i always start with "how's the weather there, how are you, bla-bla-bla.." then i get straight to the point of what i WANT from them. i have VERY good contacts with pretty much everyone; it's a POLITE thing to do, in EVERY culture; people want to be valued and acknowledged! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. good friend of mine, and probably one of the best wingsuit-BASEers is pretty heavily pigmented; and there are not that many black fellows around where i live. having said that, my girlfriend is black - maybe i'll get her to jump!
