Well hell aye!! Lager all the way! :P although Carling Premier may be the best bet... Aye I like onion gravy but on my butties it has to be chippy gravy (i.e. lumpy and thick as ya like). But mushy peas - NOOOOO! I have a fear of them little twats... :P To know requires proof To believe requires evidence To have faith requires neither. Ok to the OP... Fish and chips is first better served by replacing the fish with a bun and adding gravy, thus creating a Gravy Chip Butty. The beer you serve it with doesnt matter but I recommend Stella (belgian) or Carling (UK). :) To know requires proof To believe requires evidence To have faith requires neither. Hi all, I got my new custom rig about 2 weeks ago and jumped it for the first time this weekend. Its a Mirage G3 with a Sabre 2 170 main. Ive seen a few mixed comments on the Sabre 2 on this site so I was a bit unsure as to how I would like it. Anyway I jumped and I have to say im in love! The openings were perfect (albeit with end cell closures on every jump) and all on heading. The canopy is responsive and flying it is a pure joy. Landings were sweet too. The only problem I had was picking the slippery son of a bitch up! :P The Mirage G3 is so confortable it feels like its part of me. I had alot of cuts and bruises when jumping my last rig and assumed this was part and parcel of skydiving, even though people informed me otherwise! The difference in jumping a custom rig is unreal and far better than I imagined! Anyway to sum it up i'm one happy chappy! :) To know requires proof To believe requires evidence To have faith requires neither. If you stick with that, we'll never be confused again

Well said. I live in the UAE and the original posters comments regarding the slave labour could well be true. Alot of indians and bangladeshi's are here (as previously mentioned) but they are here because they earn more here than in their home country, which to me seems a fair deal - UAE get cheap labour and the workers get more money than they would at home doing a similar job. Regarding the terrorism - this is one thing that really sickens me about westerners in general (I am British btw). Why is it that if something is from the middle east or any muslim majority area it gets linked to terrorism? Its been mentioned that money relating to 9/11 went through Dubai - so what? What about the US flying schools who taught the terrorists? It makes no difference! The terrorists are extremists and that is that. Christians have had extremists (quite possibly the worst in history) but nobody mentions that. Did anyone stop and brand Catholics terrorists because of the IRA? NO! Why Muslims? Im not muslim btw.. Dont yu think its a bit wrong to give advice like that when you know very little of the situation? The OP seems to need her confidence boosting, not knocked. To know requires proof To believe requires evidence To have faith requires neither. If you stick with that, we'll never be confused again -

Thanks guys, problem I have is that my first 20 jumps were made in the UK - then I had a 3 year gap and my last 16 have been in the UAE with no computerised manifest, however Its a small DZ so can probably easily get my jumps verified. Cheers To know requires proof To believe requires evidence To have faith requires neither. If you stick with that, we'll never be confused again

Hi All, Ive just returned from a trip home to the UK. I had my logbook in my suitcase and guess what - British Airways have lost my bag! It also contained my helmet and alti etc but those are replacable. Can anything be done about my logbook? I mean ive only made 36 jumps but still, those 36 are important! Can my instructor kind of Sign off something in a new log book saying I have 36 jumps or something? BA said they will find it but its been a week now so im not holding my breath!! I get that too!! Watching someone spot makes me have to hold onto something! Also, I always feel like my hands are strangely empty and that I have forgotten something! On my first couple of jumps after a 3 year break I found myself on occasion during freefall touching my rig straps to make sure it was there! haha! On opening however, I know its there - cutting into me!! So now its the opening part that scares me because my rig is crap! :P To know requires proof To believe requires evidence To have faith requires neither. Hey Ralffers, In regard to muscles not strengthening if you continuously work them - im not sure if they dont strengthen at all but I know that when you work out you tear the muscle fibres and the strengthening comes from the healing of them. So, I guess that if you dont allow the muscle to heal, this process wont take place. If you want to work out all the time, do different muscle groups on different days. Glad to hear of your determination mate. To know requires proof To believe requires evidence To have faith requires neither. If you stick with that, we'll never be confused again

Hi mate, Paypal is relatively safe yes and there will be an official record of the transaction. In order for the guy on the other end to withdraw the funds, he must have added a bank account - this bank account will always be linked to him as its impossible to get an account without multiple forms of ID. So should any dodgyness go down, he can be tracked. So I would say unless he is a serious fraudster, you should be ok. Im no paypal expert though but ive had alot of dealings with them. Im in the UAE and it costs me about 75AED to fill a 70 litre tank. This is about £10 UK - to fill the full tank!!! Very cheap, especially when I have been used to a £ a litre!!
