know the feeling... I went home for Xmas and saw my uncle too. He was taken off interferon 10 months ago and his cancer immediately metastasized. We got to speak and hang out but he's now in hospice and on morphine all I get to hold on to is, he knows he had a good life, and that we all love him. Every time I see an east coast area code in the caller id window my heart stops... John Fosgate "In the end, its always best to choose the hard right over the easy wrong." "It's either Me or Skydiving Hon - Choose." Anyone really heard that?
Fozz replied to Unstable's topic in The Bonfire
mmm...after reading this it occurs to me...being single isn't so bad. I want a new motorcycle I go buy one. I decide to go skydiving again after 20 years away from it, I do it. I think to myself #@%! why did I ever quit (it was a good reason at the time but NOT SO related) so now I'm current and have my own rig and NO DRAMA. I know people (both men and women) who have been told to quit racing motorcycles or become single again and is seems invariably the end up single. As a group we (people in high risk sports) tend to fulfill our own needs a not depend on others much. I think this might be part of the way and why we prioritize the way we do. A buddy of mine had a van pull out in front of him on his street bike and snapped both his wrists casts up to just below his shoulders for 6 weeks (big dude played football at the AFA) his wife had to help him do ALL his necessary tasks for the duration John Fosgate "In the end, its always best to choose the hard right over the easy wrong." Got it from a guy named Justin in North Dakota and I love it functionally, could be a little prettier, but I'll keep it for 100 jumps then get the new Infinity I'm Lusting after It has inspired me to loose some weight too. I'll qualify it by saying there was so much soft tissue damage there was a question as to weather or not I would get things back at all. It was 2 years before the foot "felt" close to normal, to this day I'm still grateful I walk at let alone I don't limp. The first 6 months the circulation below the impact point was so poor that little to no healing took place (I have a GREAT ortho who doesn't give me crap about my hobbies just straight answers and no BS!!) my favorite statement from him is "let pain be you guide" when it comes to PT. I still have the inflatable pump up cam walker John Fosgate "In the end, its always best to choose the hard right over the easy wrong." LouDiamond MB 4310 www.N3Racing.com

I spent almost 15 months (05 94/08 95) recovering from a badly broken rt tib fib the first month flat on my back (spiral six places compound missing pieces racing motorcycles). www.n3racing.com I'd have cuddled the whole time to avoid the misery of that. CRUTCHES SUCK!!!! I could walk on them without my legs for 20 yards when I finally gave them up 4 sets of tips too John Fosgate "In the end, its always best to choose the hard right over the easy wrong." +1 Thank you isn't even close! PS if you have time to go to lost prairie I'll have a ticket for you (AND LOTS OF BEER) John Fosgate "In the end, its always best to choose the hard right over the easy wrong." LouDiamond MB 4310 www.N3Racing.com -
Before you spend a bunch of money on "pretty" parts check with this guy he knows more about "SPARK" then most www.davessmallbodyheis.com sparkman451@earthlink.net His name is Dave and he builds some amazing stuff (but takes awhile) Also before you say too much about top end cruise the Bonneville records for normally aspirated unfared (sp) twins you might be supprised John Fosgate "In the end, its always best to choose the hard right over the easy wrong." Long ago and far away (when we still used slide rules and slates) A guy in one of my early classes abused the help and I told him after the 5th time in 2 weeks that it would be $15 a set (I also found he was just sleeping in which really pissed me off) he paid me 3 times and started showing up for class John Fosgate "In the end, its always best to choose the hard right over the easy wrong."
