Skyrad, yes i agree, the goverment had nothing to do with that case.. look at some of the laws on the books in the Pakistan,, they still believe in the right of woman having no rights as that equal to a man when it comes to the woman having to have to have more witnesse's than a man to defend herself in certain case's?? this is a law in their goverment?? so then how can we as America have to go rushing in if they want to have that law?? because some here say its a bad law.. it may well be.. but that gives us no right,, even if we have 50 million ppl standing on the grounds of congress demanding we go in to save them based on human rights.. so we should just trample their laws? we have to make hard decisions, and sometimes they are never the right ones.

look i used the girl shaking a hand issue again, let me be clearer, if some country wants to whip a women for punishment because she talked to a unrelated man, or danced inapproprate somehow,, and thats how they decide to enforce their way of punishment based on their religious doctrine which they incorporate into their laws,, then we as America or any other country can not have a bunch of nannys jump up and down and demand that we go into that country and save the woman, or children or whatever based on the fact, that what their doing is inhumane.. come on people, its one way or the other,, you wanta stay outta their way of life or do you want to interfer, you have to make a choice, and sometimes choices are hard to make.. you can't have it both ways,,

To be completely parallel with the OP's meaning, we should restrict this list to purely MORAL prohibitions enforced by the police: 14. You can't smoke marijuana for fun 15. You can't have sex with the wrong people 16. You can't have sex of the wrong type 17. You can't kill yourself 18. You can't sell your own body parts 19. You can't form voluntary contracts of many types and many more... What?? we can only smoke weed for business?? now that sucks!!! well, maybe not,, id rather be stoned at work

Well, they, the people, Islam, whatever you might want to call it, have got a long road to hoe... uh oh, i used the ho word!! the integrity of the Religion and the people that support it has been damaged beyond belief, and will have a difficult time to bring their so called peaceful religion into a light that is viewed as such.. Unfortunily, it will take decades not years in my views, history can be very unkind. and i have really enjoyed this discussion in this thread, no it hasn't changed my view of "Islam" or anything about how i feel about them, but if they can pull it outta their ass and get their act together, and join the rest of the world in a sensible way, great.

I will agree that the countrys listed that we are talking about have extreme Politcal problems, I have no auguments to differ, the Problem I see is that a Politcal and Religous partnership that is espoused and in the goverments and the people that support it...when Goverments of some of the countrys listed support rallys and marches in the name "Islam" and rile their people in that name, and allow the views and hatred and death to whoever it should be that day, its leaves a bitter taste in those that look at their views, in trying to understand if Islam is such a peaceful cult, then why do those same Goverments preach that way.. I have just come to my own conclusion that the Majority of those who practice their religion of Islam over there are off their rocking horse.. I wrote in another thread some weeks back about this, and i just feel that after 5000+ years, they don't get any better. I wish they were better and could open their eyes, but my hope for them is very little if not already gone..

yes, its is a high body count, im not going to augue that, its shamful,, do you really think i like to see all these people die,?? HELL NO< but for gods sake man, these people have lived this way for eons of years, do they get it that there is a different way of living?? thats not so bad?? that you don't have to kill someone that doesn't wear a headscrarf the right way.. or who watched Everbody Loves Raymond.. they all seem to believe that they have to kill to promote their way of peace?? because it would be harmful to let a little kid or teen or for that matter a adult have a life.

Yea, you forgot one big one. I can't racall the last time I had some form of moral police dept authorized from the goverment to come to my place of business and order me to stop playing music or watching a movie, or tell my girlfriend she can't hold my hand or "hug" me or anyone for that matter or be punished by beating or worse death..because punishment for doing any of the above i just mentioned is to premote peace??, so don't try and pull its America too.. you want to try and compare the two,, you'll lose every time.. I don't think you or I would like to have someone come to us and tell us that in order to make peace you must do these things or you will die, or worse maimed for life.

When i see tens of thousands of muslim nutz demostrating from Palestine to Iran, to the horn of Africa, Afganistan, Checneya to London and Etc,Etc,Etc, and im talking tens of thousands in each of just the countrys i listed, who knows how many more? that i didn't list.. that view that killing is the way to peace???? Im sorry, that you see it in a different light, cause i see it for what its worth... and you have a right to be sympathetic to them if you desire,, for me,, i have no use for them,, they are nothing buy a disease, a fatal one at that. yes,, more hugs, more hugs,, that will cure the world...hahahah

I still believe they,, yes, i call them muslim, radicals, the majority of the middle east people believe in such a extreme veiw of life, and trying to put a sugar coat of thinking, its such a small minority of people that think this way, as Wendy is trying to point out, is wrong.. this is something that is driven into their thinking from childbirth based on their religion. it is "their" way..your not going to change it,, hell I can't.?? Whats so intresting, is that the Majority of those High School students demostrating, and I'd bet that 98% of them have never been to Mexico.. would cringe at living in the society that is Mexico now.. I'm sure the demostrating is in reference to the immigration policy,, but people must follow the laws, you can't just give amnesty to them all.

Hi Mira, I usally don't post in this section of threads, but I must say, try wind tunnel, it can really help your overall confidence in your body flight and can make you become more relaxed, which in turn will help make you become more "aware" of your surroundings. it all works hand in hand. talking from personal experience here

Love is wanting to give more than you want to take, and it includes and results in respect, compassion, loyalty and selflessness. It makes us happy and better people who want to share that happiness. It's inexhaustable and unselfish. ?? thats exactly the point i make.. she or he (so im not putting blame on one sex) is making the assumption based on a desire of ones self, if you desire to be limited to only what your spec of person you want to make you happy, then you pass on many types that you know nothing of. most girls have an idea/thought of what they are looking for, and in that state of mind, most guys fall way outside that catagory, which makes the girl unapproachable due to that,.... in other words, she judges a book by the cover not from the pages,, and misses the whole story...
