So, things were nice and orderly before we went there? We've already been there over 10 years - enough time to build a few cities. Way, I see it, we had one mission - find and kill OBL. White house thought it was a good excuse to occupy Afghanistan, even after he left and went to Pakistan. We've already pumped billions into rebuilding their infrastructure and setting up a new government. It doesn't make up for all the civilians we killed, but we don't own them any more than what we've already given. ---------------------------------------------------- These are my thoughts exactly & in total agreement with you ! So how long, how will, or will this even trickle, splurge, or gush in positive end results... as far as bringing the US. back on it's economic feet ? Even as far as bringing the troops home based on 'terroristic protection' from the onset of 9/11... the idea of 'loose cannons' plotting & carrying out terrorist acts, will never be ending... so what excuses will be held, in NOT bringing them home, immediately ? At one time OBL & SH were the focal objectives, but obviously other agendas came up. Understanding that this is a major accomplishment, though taking the 10 years it has, is this really an immediate life changing event, that will turn everything around for all Americans & countrymen from every targeted & participating country... or are there going to be years of dragged out rationale, as to why this didn't quite do the trick, yet ? Or was this a White House diversionary tactic of ok now's the time to pull that ace up my sleeve...I need some serious diversion here: " don't worry boys & girls, I've get this one, I'll prove to you I'll eventually fullfill my campaign promises & the previous administrations, too "...? Does anyone have a thought on what this really means ? How much work is left to bring the peaceful evolution to the Middle East ? Will AQ buckle & fold ? Got the 2nd & 3rd's... The end result: the most excruciating pain I've ever had, to include 2 childbirths without meds ! I went outside the providers within our locale, to a very reputable oral surgeon in Green Bay, who through a CAT scan, ultimately found 2 jaw fractures, fractures on both sides of face, nose & cheekbone fractures. Due to the time lapsed without treatment; though mending as is, was starting, he needed to act right away to avoid future liklihood of some serious procedures ! With only local anesthetic ( @ 30 shots to top & then bottom & sides & feeling like a platypus w/ tears streaming ), I was wired through the cheekbone, jawbone, gums, & each tooth ... without need for pre-authorization from insurance !

The only mention of Mary Magdalene in any of the gospels before the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is in Luke 8:2, where she is described as one ‘from whom seven demons had gone out’.

Yes, as a Jewish man, Jesus was married ----------------------------------------------------------- I thought Mary Magdalene was a whore, who wiped Jesus brow, as he carried the cross to the Mount & bowed at his feet... seeking forgiveness, during his crucification This is just one example of who's who & who's right in religious teachings & interpretations ! Personally, I've experienced & witnessed many who have approached & gone through the dying process...through Nursing with the terminally ill & in my personal life. I believe we are somehow in full awareness of eminent death, & through the Grace of God... we are given enough of a window of opportunity to seek forgiveness & acceptance of an all knowing God & of Our Saviour Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit... despite the lives we've lived, our good deeds, or misdeeds we've done to ourselves, & others; as well as, failure to live & walk the life with God, throughout ! That God hears our hearts & remorseful cries of forgiveness... and by his mercy, grants them; as all sins are forgiven upon the repentent through the Holy Spirit... bringing us into his Kingdom !

Without reading other replies before responding... throughout my rearing as a Catholic, the nuns teachings... "unbaptized babies under the age of 7 ( age of reckoning) go to limbo ! " That is neither heaven, nor hell. Teaching also the majority of those non-pure, but were somewhat morally righteous, would experience purgatory. Though that it is done upon the end of man: Judgement Day ! Catholism's evolution to man made critics & critiques within the congregations, tainted my continuing practice. There was a time I was involved in 'born again' Christianity until I was told by those in a weekly womens bible group... unless my son; who was 11 at the time, did not announce publically, he received Christ as his Lord & Saviour, & he were to be struck down riding his bike & killed, he would go to hell. They also informed me, unless I took to my Christmas tree, I was idolizing objects & not God... I too would experience damnation ! My response: " C'ya " I no longer refer to myself as religious, but spiritually Christian ! My experience has been, throughout interpretations, translations & teachings of such... are either all over the place, or too rigid for the average spiritually strong 'human' ( sinner)... to live without guilt ! Which in my belief, guilt is damning, in itself!

You are living the good life..no doubt about it! Some of my favorite experiences are tent 'living' for 2 weeks at a time, along the Mississippi River, & our week long camping trips to the Nicolet National Forest...bathing in the lake, ( I don't in the river) staying up til 3 -4 am. just watching the stars, & barges..over a campfire ! If everyone spent just an hour a day in the wilds of nature... whether jigging for the elusive walleyes, waiting for a transient turkey, or just walking through taking in the smells & sounds...we'd all be better people for it ! If it continues like it is... more will have the experience by force, not by will, however !

My biggest fear & concern is for the future of my husband ( he's only 37), my sons who are 36 & 29, & their wive's, but most specifically my 13, 10, & 9 yr.old grandkids... and your's, and his, her's, and their's What we are seeing & have observed ( I'm 54) for quite some time now, is just the domino affect that has been playing out since the Great Crash & Depression of the 30's ! I'm not sure what I want. I would like for the government to be ruled by the Constitution. Also and really in the same vein, I'd like Congress to coin our money. I'd like the Federal Reserve to die a quick and speedy death. I'd also like to withdraw all the billions we've paid them in bonuses. I'd like for the government to start telling us the Truth! re: The Outlaws I'm very aware of their reputation potential... never having gotten tight, nor wanted any 1st hand experience with their club. My exposure was only based on a one time ride through a mutual ! We had a good friend who was affiliated ( as security) & he invited me on "Blessing Ride" a few years ago...from Menominee Falls, WI. to Cedarburg, WI ( through Milwaukee) Not commenting about my riding with them in silence, was just A-Ok with me ! Afterwards, 'Jay' & his girl wanted to entertain us to the 'sites', so they took us to an unofficial, open to personal invitation only, club house/ bar ! He prepped me before walking in, advising me to look at no one & talk to know one... unless, asked who I was... saying I was with the big guy, & his girl (Jay's @ 300#)! I stayed close to Jay...but didn't stay long ! You are with 'Nomad'..or were saying you are a nomad ? Both, or either...you have my respect ! I'm not, nor have ever been hard core, nor club affiliated...just enjoy riding, & holding my own ! I've never flown colors, just my H.O.G. & Ladies of Harley patches ! I haven't rode nearly as much as I'd like, or have... since I got involved in Skydiving, though! Obviously, because the seasons are one in the same, here in WI. & no time left in the day w/ up to 7 days/ wk., 14 hr/day at the dz. I haven't been put in the "a girl" category in a long time ! I've been riding almost 17 years in many situations: took my riders rode test in a sleet storm, been in progression rides 10,000 riders strong, rallies, rode (not trailered) from WI. to Sturgis, rode with members of The Outlaws & other clubs... with no complaints, nor criticsm & put 11,000 miles on one summer...alone ! There were times, my bike was my only companion, & I liked that just fine! The only time I've been down, is taking it down... to prevent t-boning a road idiot, turning just a few feet in front of me ! Claimed not to have seen me...but I have straight pipes, that can't help but being heard I once followed some dumb ass home, who thought it would be entertaining to pull out from a stop sign pulling a boat, laughing as he was looking at me ! He wasn't laughing so much when I pulled up behind him... " screaming if I had a ball bat, I'd beat your head in, right now "... while some woman come running out of the house asking him what he did !? I have no clue what my testerone level is, or isn't... my sex drive was not what I was talking about ! I prefer the company of men; socially & in work & activity environments, over women... as I despise the damsel in distress card ! I worked as a drywall hanger & finisher contractor for many years, moved 10,000- 20,000 # bulk mail / night, working airline docks in AK. I've been a lead dz. packer for 5 years, since I was 50...packing circles around guys 1/2 my age ! It would appear that's exactly the problem ------------------------------------------------------- To dreamdancer: Though, I have insurance coverage through a private carrier ( large well known corporate co.); it is a plan through the Federal gov't. for Federal employees... I had to chose a carrier, or stay with my curent plan, during last open enrollment while I was still considered 'active duty' prior to retiring in '05. It is part of my retirement benefit package, though I continue to pay monthly premiums deducted ( off the top) from my retirement pay & throughout my 25 years of service & current co-pays ! I've had numerous contacts with the insurance company, but am directed to The Federal Office of Personnel Management, in hopes of resolution ! To date, my efforts have been unsuccessful ! Have you ever had to make contact with anybody directly affliated with the federal government, in regards to federal benefits, of past federal employees ? Perhaps so...fractured jaw in 3 places ! I viewed the xrays, as they were shown on a screen as I watched...the fractures were pointed out & left side of the jaw, jumped the socket ! In other words, it's not in the socket ! Been 'sucking' with it for over a week, so what's another 4-5 I chose to deal w/ it, rather than go into debt... if the insurance I've paid premiums for; by payroll deductions & out of pocket for over 25 years, doesn't pony up ! Btw: it's dudette...& puss in the feminine form But thanks for the advice Peace to you, as well

I have a major insurance carrier through the Federal gov't. I've had no other problems with provider billing or payments, since my retirement. I've been treated by major health providers in WI; as well as, at Mayo Clinic over the past few years with very reasonable co-pays. I've called the insurance carrier per The Office of Personnel Management & they indicate there should be no problem, as long as correct coding & no attempts at erroneous billing are provided in the claim ! I signed the claims waiver with the Oral Surgeon, so only they can file the claim... & only they will be paid ! The provider's office assures me, they will reimburse me... once/ if, they receive payment by the insurance company. They explain because they are dental surgeons & specialists; which is typically covered by dental coverage, my situation is of a medical nature with jaw structure repair needed. Evidently, it is a loop hole that has been road blocked in the past, based on the speciality provider medical -v- dental My dental insurance does not cover this, as my teeth are fine! The procedure consists of realigning my jaw with devices implanted under my teeth...top & bottom !

Thanks me too I tried the re-referral route by the ER & also involved my primary care doc ! Since they are of the same medical facility ( system), their response: "... unfortunately we've referred you to who we normally refer these types of cases to..." I'll make some other attempts tomorrow ! Forced to be somewhat silent & in pain...is not my most flattering character trait...trust me ! I can be fairly overwhelming, driven & pursuasive Otherwise it looks like I'll be healing eau de naturale' It's been a bittersweet time for the hubby ! Though he's getting a slight reprieve from my ramblings... he says he'd rather put up w/ my jibber jabber, rather than... my lock jaw Just wondering what the Feds will pull when it comes time to pay out my FEGLI life insurance, when the time comes...........

State employees aren't the only to bitch about entitlements! Evidently, after 25 years of federal non-civilian service with retirement benefits & years of paying Union dues, retirement costs & health/ dental deductions, throughout...the insurance policies are about as worthless as the paper they're printed on ! After a recent race to the car with our dog; & tangling me in her cable in doing so, to claim shotgun...she won I broke my jaw, when I landed on my chin... jamming my lower jaw on both sides, into the sockets. ER referred me to an Oral Surgeon, who states I need a jaw realignment procedure costing $ 3400, ASAP ! However, they demand payment up front prior to surgery, because Federal insurance reimbursement is either typically denied, then appealed, taking as long as a year to pay They did offer to file the claim & reimburse me, if/ when they get it Makes a person wonder...what's the point in working, filing & paying out the azz for over 1/2 their lifetime This poor working skydiver will just have to 'not grin & bear it'... no $3400 extra, laying around here I never knew sneezing, laughing or coughing through the nostrils would be so difficult

I was reading through Licenses, Ratings & Awards in this months Parachutist. [ April '11; B licenses on p. 30.] I have a couple questions: Where is QAT ? It is not indicated in Parachutists-International or National DZ Directory. Why would, or how are, some individuals assigned multiple B licenses to the same individual ?

Agreed Warped Any adjustments, usage, or additions to property are grandfathered in; if after 10 years of non challenged, within Federal & most state real estate laws.
