It sounds doubtful that somebody would do this. Can you link to this story? If I'm low enough that the cypress is going to go off, I'd probably go for my reserve. If somebody is really recounting a story such as this, I'd highly suspect it as a excuse to explain not pulling.

Troll accusation. This is my first. It could be a troll. I've never heard of such a thing as pushing the packer to pay for cut-away gear. So, until this incident has some names to go along with it, I'm going to assume that it's trolling.

Bodyflight Bedford, over here in the UK. Think they shot that part in the tunnel too.. E I'm skeptical that anything was shot in a tunnel, I don't remember the face of bond or the girl deforming as they would in a tunnel. The body positions were pretty believable. So, mabye the actors got some tunnel time to get a body position nailed down.

I don't know about hip replacements specifically, but most doctors will not sign off on skydiving for their patients no matter what their condition. How long ago did you get the new hip?

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear this. You've got a fight in front of you. My suggestion is to get out as quickly as you can. Even if you are able to "work it out", it will only be a temporary thing. You'll find yourself in the same situation in a few months or years from now. She was happy to have a non-"normal" family while she went to school, where you supported her. Now, she is unwilling to allow the support to flow the other direction. Best not to dwell on it though, it's just going to make you bitter. Get the best lawyer(s) you can. Pay for them with credit if you have to. It will pay off in the long run. Stay in school. You'll be happy that you did later. This is going to be rough on the kids. When they ask questions about what's going on. Be truthful. Try not to say angry things about their mother to them. Tandem jumps are safer than sport jumps. Sport jumping is quite a bit safer than taking a ride in a small plane like you did. Freefall is -awesome-.

How do you mean?

When I used to have a motorcycle, I loaded my skydiving gear into a largish duffel bag with shoulder straps. I put the duffel bag around me and jumped on the bike. It worked pretty well. Putting the rig on my back wouldn't have scared me to much, but I wouldn't have had anywhere to put my helmet and altimeter.

Regardless of the level of truth in that comment. That's not what the post is about. To try and answer the question. I think bikers without face shields just suck it up and get through it. Myself, I like to use a helmet with a full shield.

Oooo, key lime pies are awesome. I haven't made one in a few years. FYI, a lot of the "key lime" pies in the store have dye in them to make them appear green. I true key lime pie is usually a yellowish, to a golden color. Not that I normally have enough time to look at the color before it's gone.

Congrads on the 100th jump! So, that DZ that your jumping at, the jump tickets are priced really low. It's the main attraction for that DZ. Those jump tickets are so cheap, your pretty much getting subsidized jumps. That dropzone has it's own way of doing things. It's not like other DZ's, you know this, I know this. I still jump there periodically, and appreciate what I get there. You know what your getting into when you jump there. Now, you could ride the plane down. I always look down before jumping out there just because of the problem you encountered. You could have pulled at 8k, or 10k.

You might want to find out how much your policy would go up if you had a motorcycle. Owning a motorcycle about doubles your chances of killing yourself over skydiving. I'll bet you that the motorcycle doesn't change your plan cost very much.

Okay, so, two points about this video. 1. If this video had been about me after my demise I think that it wouldn't bother me to much. After all, there are a great deal of stupid, crazy people out there, let em be nuts. Channeling somebody is impossible. This video is fiction. 2. The reason stuff like this gets made, and is popular is that all of you people watch this stuff! DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO. Wow, calibrating monitors to the printers is difficult to do. People are pretty dumb sometimes. I doubt they really understand what's going on. Also, they are really freaking selfish leaving the calibration changed like that.
