If you are refering to the new world (read American continent - read Alaska to Argentina) you are probably right. Over here in my part of the world (Switzerland) we had wars around us and all the other BS but I do not recall, that we (the Swiss) took somebody's land away, killed most of them and but them in reservations. (We just took their money) You're right there - instead let's use some agent, like: orange? ... sorry couldn't resist no VC no VC . . . how high can you fly with broken wings ... life's a journey not a destination

I must be missing the point. Some stupid fuck is killing two people in LAX, ok, this shit happens often at various places and not just in the US. Ban handguns? Won't work because criminals don't give a shit about law and order. They want a gun, they are going to get them, even if they have to built them themselves. I read that Northern Ireland and Palestinian have Gun control - I'm impressed, ok all the law obeying people care about it and don't own a gun. The Irish are getting killed by bombs and guns and the palestinian People by tanks, helicopters and guns and to be fair to the local situation the israelis by human bombs. Has a gun ban achieved anything? You tell me - I don't know. Why punish the ones that are living by the laws for all the bullshit some stupid loosers are pulling that don't give a s#@t about it? Example Speed limit: let's put it down, so we have less deaths on our road - I say that's wrong. Get the ones off the street, that can not obey the speed limit. Sell their cars burn their license and buy them a bicycle or a train pass. So, unless we can isolate the gene that is responsible for comon sense and treat everybody with it, we will have do deal with the fact, that no matter what the law, no matter what the control will be, the ones that want to cross the line will find a way to do it. IT'S FRIDAY - YES !!!!! THAT MEANS - WEEK-END = JJJJJJJJJJJUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . how high can you fly with broken wings ... life's a journey not a destination

...my name is phil, I'm a jumpaholic... sorry wrong forum. I jump because I got the virus when I did a tandem 12 years ago. It took 10 years till I had the outbreak and went through AFF, had a landing 18 month ago that almost got me in a wheelchair and have done 100 jumps since the accident. Just got 3 other guys together to form a rw-team and move on to do something new with them To enjoy being with some fantastic people with whom I share the same passion for a great sport. Because my wife has signed me up for I life insurance, in case I mess up, she gets to have a happy life ever after. So she is really encouraging me to jump when ever possible... . . . how high can you fly with broken wings ... life's a journey not a destination

Don't be, I mean it was just a matter of time, till it would happen again. The names change, but everything else just repeats itself. Look, what we see here, is what is going on all over the place - it's called real life! So there are people out there, that don't give a shit what others think, about their opinions and everything else. It's a fact. People have been going at each others throat since mankind is accounted for. Why should this be any different between skydivers? Look around, read the posts and you will find very little room to express your ideas without some smartarse having to say something stupid about it. Go back and read some of the more serious topics and you'll see what I mean. And I'm sorry to say this, depending who makes the comments it is considered ok for this individual to do so. So there are no rules out there. They are being made up by the majority as we go and you are either in or out. The best way to handle this, is to simply stay away and go jumping instead. There are same great people in this forum that I have a lot of respect for - others - well reading their post has been mostly a waste of time. It's up to you to choose. I take it like my sport. I learn, listen and choose what I can take out of it to improve my skills. Stay out of politics and use the white flag to wipe your a@... peace makers usually carry guns... . . . how high can you fly with broken wings ... life's a journey not a destination

First of all - Lisa good job. It takes guts to say NO! instead of just making the sale and to forget about it. I like to read what some of you are saying about taking your own responsibility and decide for yourself. I might be wrong, but the same ones are also the ones who write about that stupid, poor f*ck who crash landed and hurt/killed himself because he didn't have a clue on how to land his canopy. This jumper took the responsibility and bought a canopy, that - according to him - would do the job just fine. He was an experienced jumper (>20jumps - right? my arse) and had really a clue, what's good for him. Well he was wrong -right? Isn't it the fact, that most of us decided to buy a specific canopy after student status because a lot of people we trusted (dz, this forum etc.) recommended it to us? So based on what kind of experience do you make the joyce if you don't have the ground work under your belt about the concept of flying a high performance canopy? I know, some of you are born talents and did their AFF with a VX 97 with a 3.1 load. Great, that leaves the rest of us with the normal routine of starting slowly but safely two sizes bigger than necessary and working our way down. C'mon the majority of our brothers/sisters that left us, died because of a landing that went wrong. I don't say, that a bigger canopy would have saved them all, but one or the other would still be jumping with us now. So one life saved would be worth considering giving someone the advise, to buy something bigger and to wait with the 2.3 load. What's wrong with not just taking responsibility for yourselves but also for your friends. I don't give a shit about saving the world, but I care about my friends/family and because I care I act! Enough of this. I know - everyone to himself and blue skies for all. how high can you fly with broken wings ... life's a journey not a destination

one reserve ride/14/0 busy week-end, started out on friday, doing a test in a decompression chamber, to find out, how we react on levels between 25000 and 30000 feet in regards to the O2 problems. Had some great jumps on saturday and sunday celebrating one of my buddies 500th jump by doing a sunset track out of 17000 feet with 10 jumpers. had to cut away one main (one advantage when you have two rigs) due to my mistake. and one happy woman when I came back from the drop-zone blue ones Phil how high can you fly with broken wings ... life's a journey not a destination

We met in a secluded field, the sun nearly kissing the evening horizon. The warm breeze was full of that earthy, musky scent that only those fortunate enough to live outside the urban rat race know, and a quiet whispering of leaves in the weeping willow overhead added the final touch to the most romantic scene. We lay there, both naked. I knew I had to have her, and have her now. Without a word being spoken, I moved to a position of dominance. I could feel instantly that this was what she was waiting for as she frantically thrust her pelvis at my approaching organ. I moved slowly at first, Inch by inch, until I was fully inside her. Then as the tension rose, we threw caution to the wind and abandoned ourselves to the moment. Although inexperienced, she approached every change of position with enthusiasm, moaning with despair every time I withdrew to prevent myself ending it all too soon. As the sexual tension heightened towards the inevitable mind blowing climax, it was all I could do to hold out any longer. Finally, the moment we had been building up to was upon us, and passed all too quickly. Breathlessly we rolled together in the now damp grass. As the last deep orange glow of the long setting sun melted into the darkness of approaching night, we lay there still entwined in an amorous embrace. I kissed her long and lovingly, and whispered reassuringly how good she had been. She tenderly and sensuously licked my inner ear then whispered, 'Baaa' and rejoined the flock. keep up the good work clay - she (ep) 'll be back for more blue ones phil

if it's of any interest, out of first hand info. the pilot was not a regular porter pilot and had still the landing trim on takeoff. this led to the nose to go straight up with no chance of correcting it and getting is back down. 50 meter up and "bang" back on the planet. I guess we all check our gear before we jump, hope the pilots do it too. blue ones phil

Actually it's not, the price in Germany will be somewhat higher than in the US, and even if it is the same, with shipping and import-taxes you might end up with a draw situation. Talk to some of the big shots like Square1 and others, they will make you a good deal. I live in Switzerland and bought mine here and bought an other one for my other rig at SQ1 together with a main and that alone saved me about USD250. OK I didn't ship it to Switzerland, I had somebody pick it up for me in the States, but it was still cheaper in the US than over here. good luck and blue ones Phil

Have 4 screws in my back and should have them removed today, but they didn't have room for me in the hospital. In my case they say it would be better. Other friends don't need to and keep the extra weight. If you have no problems with it - keep it. Taking it out means an other operation and more time being out of the picture. What ever the Doc is recommending - do it blue ones phil

No doubt, when you need the job done, you have to send in the troops and you might get your hands dirty. When you have a opponent that doesn't give a shit about human rights etc. why bother of giving them the courtesy of the same. Taking care of business the way it was done was and is the only way to go. I have just a little side note or food for thought: when England was/is struggling with Northern Ireland, one of the biggest Allies of the UK did not feel it to be necessary to cut of the money supply to the IRA, this list could be extended at will. As the majority of you all know. The sad part about it is, that when politics fuck up – the cavalry has to go and clean up the mess and will get a shitload if they do it to well. My respect to all servicemen out there that are doing their best at what they’re good at. Blue skies Phil

I'm glad, that I still have more jumps than posts, kinda they way it should be and stay... blue ones Phil

...something else you might look into is the due date for your emergency chute. It is different from country to country so best thing to do is to have your reserve repacked before you go anywhere outside of your country if your last packjob is older than 3 month. ...and being a full time member of the uspa is ok - you can subscribe to the magazine for the rainy days. blue ones Phil

haha ... swiss and neutral my a@@! Money makes the world go round my friend and the swiss are world champions about that. C'mon nobody is perfect except the Swiss !?! and why not pick a fight, got nothing better to do right now anyway ...and you're right about the UK being safe - I lived there for 2 years and I loved it. Just avoid the drunk chicks in the Pubs, they can get rather nasty... blue ones Phil
